This is a scene (my first) from the final book of Roger Zelazny's First Chronicles of Amber series, "The Courts Of Chaos". Here we see former Prince, now Regent, Corwin of Amber astride Morgenstern, the Greatest of All Horses. At his belt is Grayswandir, The NightBlade, the moon-sword of the Pattern. He is on the Black Road, a road that travels through all the infinite realities caused by the reflections of Amber, and he is very near to the Courts of Chaos. The reason for his haste is that he carries the Jewel Of Judgement (if you look carefully, you can see it around his neck), from which the very Pattern of Amber was created, to the final Apocalyptic battle between the Lords of Chaos and the Lords of Amber.
He has just exited the Fire Gate, a Shadow on The Black Road near the Courts of Chaos. The Lords of Chaos are more desperate to stop him, hence the cars that tried to run him over. (You can see who won that battle.) The Lords of Chaos have now sent a Fire Angel to attack him. Will he survive...?
In the background, the Gods and Goddesses of Reality spin in the endless Yin/Yang of the Universe. If you look closely, you might see something even more Primeval...

Challenge/art notes first post.

AH shoot ! My last post on this got bumped and it was long to and I'm not going to repeat it !

So as a last note I'll say I wish I could add a theme song to this to listen to while viewing and it would be AC/DC's :- "HIGHWAY to HELL"

Ok, I'm sure you've all been anxiously waiting my reply to your comments, and before I fall off the front page, I will provide them. From the bottom up (The best way to drink a Rainbow P????s Cafe, by the way. It's ok, you can look it up when you're done reading):

wildfat (his _very first post_, I might add):A nice job , but I find it a little too busy.

Yup, I agree. I was constrained by time and the need to get all elements in.

BatMic: wow! there's alot going on here. a few nice touches, i'm not keen on the cars on the roud, they look out of place, a couple of hearses would have been better but i don't think that would have been allowed?

Actually, if you read the series, the characters interchange cars and horses quite frequently (they favor Mercedes...).

Quote:
Brick: So "your first" meaning your first scene or your first pic in this story?

My first "scene", unless you count Electra as one. It's also a much bigger first, this my first male in a Manip. *Bleh!*

MissVee: Who's the model? Seabiscuit?

Believe it or not, this is actually Smarty Jones winning the Kentucky Derby, straight from the pages of the NY Times.

I am glad to see at least one other member of Heromorph reads something besides comic books!

Flux, Hawk, DD, Jover, HillBilly and kallisti, thanks for the pats.
I guess I hid it too well, but the face of Primoridal Chaos is made up of the Gods and Goddeses cavorting. Too much stuff going on in front, I guess.

HOLY ^%&*(O*&#$%!!!

I'll bet neither Oberon or Dworkin had to run a 'HellRide' like this one! ( I'd rather not risk it, myself! )

You take the cake, platter, and ice cream with this one, dude!!!

Have one on me, guy

Hey, a picture is supposed to be WORTH a thousand words... not ACCOMPANIED by a thousand words!
Just kidding - this one's worth it!

Who's the model? Seabiscuit?

Well, knowing what the true challange was:

Hero, left of center but still the center of the picture, cool.
Fire breathing model, heh, cool.
Crushed cars in a period(?) fantasy piece.

Favorite by far is the Floating gate and road

So "your first" meaning your first scene or your first pic in this story?

OK, I used all ten images, for 10+2 points. I will post a link when I upload my "notes image". I also used 3 Bonus images for ? points. I thought the point of using these images was to make the parts at least partially recognizable, but I guess I was wrong. When/where is the voting, Hawk?

This was way more work than I had anticipated. I may have to rethink my time constraints next time. (No more two Challenges in the same month, yaknowadI'msayin'?) I really enjoyed making Corwin, and I really enjoyed doing the Fire Angel, however.
