Re: "Iron Man From Egypt" January Contest On July 8th, we received the shocking and tragic news that Dark Wanderer (Jason Sizemore) had passed away. Most members are well aware of his friendly, helpful and generous nature yet he was also driving force behind the scenes here as well in his role as a moderator, playing an essential part behind the scenes for many years and was greatly responsible for the success he brought to Artist Challenges, Secret Santa and other special events. Additionally, he was a terrific artist as well so we will continue celebrating some of the excellent art he created. Farewell, Dark Wanderer. You will be sorely missed and never forgotten at Heromorph. Rest in Peace.

Re: "Iron Man From Egypt" January Contest Before I even read the image title, just by looking at the thumbnail I saw it was an Egyptian Iron Man you definitely demonstrated your purpose on this image... Very Nicely done...

Re: "Iron Man From Egypt" January Contest Superb piece, all the prior comments pretty much sum up my feelings. So to be different, I think he needs a proper Egyptian name, since "Iron Man" is an english description.
I say call him Sekhemet which means "Powerful One" in ancient Egyptian.

Re: "Iron Man From Egypt" January Contest None of it is Poser. I don't even know how to use that program, let alone even own it :) Like I said I did it all from scratch using for the most part the pen tool ( or vector tool in Paint shop ) for the shapes, to get the metal effect I simply took the back ground and did alot of shaping and altering to fit around each piece of the armor the way I thought it would look if he were flying over the area. for the brass and gold I would set the layer transparancy of the copied background to 40% and duplicate it. for the silver I used the same background but at a 25% transparancy. Once I got the desired look I would go to the ( lets say shoulder for example) magic wand it, then to the layer acting as the reflection control X to cout out the excess around the Object.

Re: January Contest Thanks guys, the idea actually came to me to make it in that format, when my warrior showed up in the random gallery images, one of the comments liked how I did a 3D feel from scratch,so I figured why not do it in my style of creating art :)

Re: January Contest Terrific details and reflections, but the most impressive thing about it is that you did it from scratch. Great work and more, please!
