After coming across this site a while ago, I decided to challenge myself to a photo manipulation challenge of Wonder Woman.  I went for a more realistic approach to the outfit, a suit she would wear in battle and one that shows off her Greek heritage, I was thinking more of what they could make if and when they make the movie.

UPDATE - JUNE 2007: After my last 2 pieces had come up so well I had to revisit this and change it dramatically.  Almost a complete reworking top to bottom.  I remember Joss Whendon jokingly wanting Cobie Smulders in the role when he was doing the film, so I figured I change the model to her    I did quite a bit of research in Greek armor to get this looking right.  I tried to strike a balance between the traditional Wonder Woman costume and ancient Greek armor.  The result is a lot better then the original to which I am much happier.

Josh, I have no idea what this originally looked like (hint hint-keep the previous post and post a new one next time), but this is great! A short skirt for a conservative society, but damn! 10 from me.

I really love the way this costume looks. Excellent job!! The only change I would like to see is making the skirt longer. Maybe half way to the knees. Other than that, just perfect!!!

Wow! Great job! I'd love her to look like this in the movie! I'd send this to Joss Whedon and say "here's your costume". Amazing. <3 -NM

 Re: Wonder Woman
I like it. The original is too Americanized to be Greek (especially those laughable star-spangled panties) but this works by taking the base design and making it look Greek influenced with the designs and patterns throughout it. Kinda like WW meets God Of War. I wouldn't mind one bit if this was her movie costume.

Me I'm a big fan of the Linda Carter Look,

but you really did a great job redoing the uniform into modern times and
we can only hope Joss Wehdon does it the same as you!

 Re: Wonder Woman
Very, very good. This is great outstanding work. And the time and effort spent I really feel pays off well. I like this very much. All the details and attention paid to a constant realistic theme and nothing really that takes away from that. Very good.

 Re: Wonder Woman
Thanks for the comments all!

Why the desaturated colour? Doing research on the net, bright colour leather looks just really bad, and like I said, I was going for a more realistic approach. The Superman Returns suit and the X-men suits were where I based my outfit idea from. Besides, I spent a while playing with the colour and came to the conclusion that this was the right choice in colour.

 Re: Wonder Woman
Great manip!
I love the little greek references. Well done!
But why the dark (almost desaturated) red and blue? They did that for the superman movie, and it's didn't fly (no pun intended).

Oh, and Android...I believe it's "high heels" you are looking for. Although, in this case, it's almost closer to platform shoes.

Vary well done. Another favorite for me. Though I am a fan of the original crown. But this one is interesting.

 Re: Wonder Woman
With great pleasure, I welcome you, sir.

You made a beautiful costume here. Above all, it's sexy but not in an offensive way (which is the comun approach to a lot of other manipers).
The metal work is totally gorgeous and I almost wondered if each small detail could have a meaning beyond just ordinary decoration.
The only 2 things that bother me are:
1. Her bracelets. In my opinion, you could put them a bit higher so she could move her hands freely. Still, her left one seems to be in a wrong perspective due we see the hand coming to us.
2. Her boots. I don't think a warrior would use high heels or platform shoes... but it doesn't invalidate the photomanip.

Congratulations!

P.S.: Thank you very much for the tanslation, Mr. DM711!
