Re: Spider-girl 2 Quote: Very cool. Now tell us how you did it. okay, once you've seperated her from the background, copy the layer(L2) and desaturate it. her hands were simple cut & paste jobs so i won't bore you with that. duplicate the new layer(L3) and invert it. then use the curves to give it a nice sheen. save L2 on its own as psd file naming it MAP. new layer(L4), and fill it black, then use pattern overlay and select the woven wide pattern. scale it down pretty small and ok it.make a new layer and combine it with L4 to flatten the layer call this one L4. goto filter-distort-displace you can mess with the values if you wish but i ok'd it and select MAP file. change L4 to multiply and then cntrl select L2, invert selection and delete the excess from L4. adjust opacity settings to suit.well that's the hard part of the costume done after that it's just colourizing a little erasing and the background was a simple watercolour filter. the webs were done much the same way as the suit texture but less effectivly i guess, cos i can see now that they do look fairly flat. hope this is clear.

Re: Spider-girl 2 great posing, background and texture! It gets a little lost (the texture) when I fit it to my picture box, but hell yeah, its a keeper! The webs are not a problem in my book.. a shout out to McToyBiz? I think he started that look. Very cool. Now tell us how you did it.

Re: Spider-girl 2 Dude, I love the webs they look great. I have to agree about the webbing, it kind of reminds me of some fishnets I recently rushed. Still this is a fantastic picture, well done.

Re: Spider-girl 2 Wow. Very dynamic! The pose is great. The texturing on the blue is excellent. I also like the waterbrush effect on the background. The only thing detracting from the pic is the webbing on the costume. The pattern looks a bit too even.
