Please take in mind that I have not done a manip in 15 months or more and I wasn't all that great when I did do manips.

If anyone knows who the model is please tell me. I'd like to practice with her some more. Thanks.

I tried photo manipulation once and gave up, so I know its not easy! Good attempt just needs a little more detail and you'll be there>

Great job, VL. Simple but still very... hot! (Someone had to say it!)

Wow VL you can manip ans well write and draw? Now all you have to do is pick up a 3D program and you will have it all. This is really great for not messing with a manip for 15 mo.

 Re: Firestar
The outside edges of her costume are a little wobbly, but the edges of the mask and the glove top are spot on. I would put some shadow under the glove where it seperates from her arm, but you did address this under the top of her costume. Bonus points are added if you can make the mask conform more to the contours of her face. (I would make a mask of the "mask" layer, make a layer of just her face where the "mask" sits, then use the first mask to create a QuickMask layer on the second layer. The desaturate, color it the color of the "mask", and blend it in.)

For being away 15 months, this is pretty good. 9 from me, cause I know you can go 1 better...

Don't sell yourself short, this is great! Maybe it could use a stronger shadow on her costume under the arms, but apart from that,NICE!!

Wow. I think you did a great job. You don't seem rusty at all. I for one would like to see more manips from you (although I love your drawings also).

Yes, this is a very good choice of model for Firestar. The background also adds a lot. If you were to increase the contrast a bit and be a little more dramatic in the shading between light and dark areas, I think it would "pop" more.

 Re: Firestar
Hey VL, nice manip. Maybe not as much detail as some of our resident masters, but very clean and simple! Glad to see you do a manip every now and then!

I think the model is Katia Corriveau (sp?).

Thanks!
