Re: astro city by batmic Quote: Posted by Batmic 2004/6/12 23:42 okay first an apology to winterhawk, whom i borrowed this image from partly because i thought that it wasn't getting used.. No worries Buddy, I stole it from Brick. Plus all of us made such different pictures using the base I don't think any one would really notice unless we point it out. O wait, I just pointed it out. Crap now everyone knows I really like this manip good job on the flow of the cape and background. I think you did a good job on the skin tones. Really nice job on the hair.

Re: astro city by batmic Yeeaa! Astro City is one of my favorite comics. Your style is dead on. What are the darker lines around his wrist? Great Manip.

Re: astro city by batmic Wowzer! This is great! Looks like it might even make a real good poster! Cool Cover! By the way we'll have to ask Brick what this guy was posing for to get in that position as it is a real different pose that's for sure! But cheers to you for the great do!

Re: astro city by batmic This is good, it looks like it belongs on the cover of a hardback collection of Astro City or something.
Only thing that bothers me is the edges looking a bit rough, especially the but on his leg to the right with the light shining. Any chance of gently smudging them? Otherwise excellent.

Re: astro city by batmic well that's strange, i was positive i put it under "other comics" as i wasn't sure who published the book. i think dead artists mean artists who no longer do manips.

Re: astro city by batmic You have my blessing. I gave him the base after using it for my human torch. The skin tone looks fine to me. Its a HQ pic man.
... hmm. I need a cool logo too. Max, can you whip one up for me?

Re: astro city by batmic looks great batmic. astro city is a great comic.
question... what exactly is the "dead artists" category? are those artists actually dead? or what? i'm so confused....
