This took me forever to finish because I kept playing around with lighting and with the background/frame for the series. Here's Zhang Zi-Yi as Psylocke. I figure with the X-Men down a telepath/telekinetic after X2, they're gonna need some new brainpower for the team. Enter Elizabeth Lee Braddock, the Brit born, psy-blade wielding newest member of the X-Men. Throw in some new romantic tension between Bets, Scott, and Logan and you've got yourself a sequel!

Hmm...the technique for the blade consisted of first using the paintbrush and drawing a simple skinny triangle and then using smudge to manipulate to a more desirable shape. After applying a motion blur I think I added an outer glow to the his layer and set the layer blending property to screen or dodge to create the effect of the psy-blade emitting light. Creating a new later I added a few tiny circles at 10% and a larger one with an additional outer "dodge" glow. Finally a simple 90% flare effect over the end of the hand gives the effect of released energy.

Thanks, Kev! The part about the circles was what I was interested in. Very cool.

Oh, Brother.

Anyway, getting back to talking about art-
Kev, you have a way with lighting effects and backgounds, it's really unique. (The psychic blade here is really good.)

Care to share your techniques?

Hope your right about X3 but somehow I doubt it.
You ever wonder about her, she starts out Brian {Captain Britan}Braddocks sister, a white British girl at first in a pink costume and in the end she in a purple bathing suit costume with bans or ribbons around her tights looking asian and she's still the same girl?Just Thought it odd is all?
Now don't go thinking I'm a biggot cause I'm not I hang-out and have Friends of all colours
Well enough with the prattle! Talk at ya later!
