I like the effect, but her cleavage lines are very very unrealistic. Her mask is also much sharper and in-focus than her surrounding face.

I am sure you can. No real right or wrongs here. I was just experimenting. I did six different variations before settling on this one here. Just for note here I chose blue and green because it was a high contrast colors to the ones that were already used in the picture and I wanted them to stand out more. So just play a litle you should be fine. As well if anyone needs some help or advice and I can maybe shed some light on something. Just shoot me an email. :)

The effect is basically some sparkles made out. Use a soft Fuzzy brush in the color of your choosing. Then the gradient tool to add some of the flare outs and points. From here custom brush for the Dots of glow around. Both seperate layers. Then create a custom brush for what would normally be used as smoke. Set the opacity down, seperate layer. Then set the layers to Vivid light, then duplicate each layer, then set to color dodge. Add to each only one of the layers an outer glow set to color dodge, lighter color than the color of the image. Color variations depend on effect your looking for. Add a soft glow with the gradent tool around the logo. Duplicate same principalas the magic part. Then use the gradient tool turn on transparancy. Set this so it has noise. Then move the color selection sliders to match the color waorking space. Set the gradient tool to The suare corner effect. Apply a gradient, shrink it down, cut it out with the circle selection tool. Same prince as above layers. Then the glove needs a glow to it, this was painted in and with the brush tool. Two layers, one for blue, one for green. Then play with the layer styles to get the desired cast you want. Then you have it. Not really ever done any magic effect before. Some sparkles and flares. I just played with it until I got something I liked. But this is what I did for this image here. Hope that helps. Oh work was done in PS CS3. But all photoshops should work this way. Anyhthing else I can share just let me know here. Sorry about the choppy type. I wanted to clean this up, but my wife was on my... to leave for an event today, and I put it in as was. Otherwise I would have Illustratored the type and cleaned this up as well. But there I shared, more than happy to.
