Superman was shot in the head with a Kryptonite bullet. The hand responcible was a Brain washed Lois Lane. ( unbeknown to the brain washer that she was his wife, they just knew that she was able to get close enough to Superman to get the job done). Still able to remember her action but unable to do anything, she uses her reporter skills to sneak into Lex Corp. and steal the plans for Lex's Battle armor. With no place to go she goes to Bruce Wayne for help and gets the Suit Modified and made into production. Now with the Guilt she carries for the death of Superman Lois now uses the power suit to take Superman's place.
