Another image that began in response to a sketch challenge over on deviantart. This was created using myself as a photo reference (part of the challenge).

I decided to keep going after the 60 minutes and Finalised the coloring and recreated a background from the comic (smoggy sky). Smudged up the inkblot to make it look more like the movie and added lots of shading and highlights etc. Coat and hat now also have a texture as does the mask. |

| I don't even buy comics anymore but even I have had it with the ridiculous money-grubbing tactics of the comics industry. I'm sure you've all heard by now of DC Comics plan to retool their entire comic line and start everything at #1. C'mon. Really? Are sales doing so bad that you have to do a 'HAPPY DAYS-jump the shark" tactic to boost interest? How about some fresh ideas? Really..to throw away all the history built up of your entire universe just to make sales. Thank god I don't have to worry about that. |
