| GPE Month - Number Twenty-One - Die-Cast

Die-Cast evolved from the idea of taking a "luck-powered" or "probability-altering" character like "Longshot" or "Domino" and making such a character into a robot that had abilities such as that which came from high-tech dice that he or she could throw and which would emit some kind of energy field that did the same thing. Thus, the name "Die-Cast" fits both the concept behind the character's powers as well as the fact that the character is a robot made of "die-cast metal." Eventually, I settled on making the character female, and I decided why just have her dice be able to alter probabilities, when they could be used for all sorts of other cool uses and tricks? So, here she is, and I think that she is quite possibly one of the the coolest and fun characters I've ever made.  |

| Just like my heroine, "Metallica," I am aware that there is a rock band with a similar name, however, as it is with her name, this character was not named with any intention of copying said name, or from any kind of inspiration from said band. In fact, I don't think that I even spelled this one the same as the aforementioned band, and if I did, it's just a coincidence. When I came up with the name for this guy, I was just trying to come up with something that was a bit of a nonsense word that sounded kind of cool like all of those old Marvel monsters from back in the early days of the company. His name basically just being something of a guttural growl that he would utter. |

| Green Lightning is the spoiled little rich girl of the team. She joined in order to improve herself as a person, but her haughtiness still shows through from time to time. She means well though, and still cares for her teammates even if she doesn't always act like it. I chose the name and color for the character because green is my favorite color, and lightning is kind of a personal symbol for me. Plus, the combination was just something very different that I had never seen before. There seems to be characters named "Green" everything else but that. |

| Fall is the twin sister of Autumn, mainly being with the traitorous Battle Ratz out of her unbreakable connection to her sister rather than any kind of personal vendetta like the other women in the group have. She still feels like she was done wrong by the C.A.R.E.-Givers, US Government, and the entire world in general as the rest do, but doesn't take it to the personal extremes for revenge that they do, and as noted above, is just there to follow her sister. |

| "9 Chickweed Lane" is one of those comic strips I want to like with it's multitude of sexy female characters and underlying message of "Live passionately!" but when author/artist Brooke McEldowney draws his characters with freakish facial expressions and tries to impress readers with his extensive vocabulary, it serves as more of a wet blanket than as an enjoyable escape, which is what I've always thought a comic strip should be. |

| Ninjetta is one of the most alien and different members of the GPE, and I've pretty much based her origin recanted in this bio as she is on the team exactly because of that fact to show that they're not just a bunch of differently colored humanoids and robots which the bulk of the group unfortunately is I'm sorry to admit. At least I had the good sense to think that there should be at least one alien member that is the exception to the norm. She's also on the team to bring back some trust issues after the loss of Heavy Metal's sister and bring the narrative of the team back into a more cohesive unit as they should be. |

| As stated in my notes for his partner, Attack Yak, I came up with these rather amusing names for these guys some years ago on a whim to create a couple of mutants with rhyming names and the rest of their traits just flowed from there. This guy doesn't have much to his bio unfortunately, as it was partially due to lack of space, and partially due to me not really having much to say about him in the first place. He and his buddy, make up the mercenary team of the Exterminator Squad and are the final two members of the Xel Empire. |

| Brutica and Howla come from a comic that I made for Halloween several years ago that folks here may or may not remember. Well,now, I've resurrected them inm all new bios! Brutica, here, in particular, I have made into a spoiled rich girl that wants it all and would stop at nothing to get it, including selling her soul for power. She got it, but as it says above, as these things usually turn out, she got more than she bargained for and had to commit to a second bargain in order to try and control the first one. As as result she is now locked into an eternal struggle for her body and soul all because she was too sinful and still continues to be despite her current situation. That is why I ended her short bio with the question as to whether or not she really cares, and if she is just fooling herself with her struggle against her alter ego. |

| There's not much else for me to say about Nuke Rider that isn't already covered in the bio above, he's basically just one of those characters that can't touch or interact with anyone due to their powers without special equipment. He's also the biker of the team, so I drew him with his vehicle. |

I was going through my archives of characters that I need to make bios for and I found that I had forgotten to include this guy when I did the rest of the characters of the Xel Empire! Well, I guess it's better later than never, and his skeletal death-bot vibe certainly fits in with the spooky month of October, so you could say that the timing has worked out in my favor after all.  |
