Is there a blue moon? Has hell frozen over?!
Who is this "blubeetle3" and what the hell is he doing here?
Yeah, yeah. I know. In all honesty, I never left. I've been lurking for the past year. Just haven't felt really inspired. Still don't really...
Anyhoo...
There's been talk on the DC Messageboards about updating Ted Kord's look when (IF?!) DC ever brings him back. I have to ask, "WHY?". Beetle is a classic Steve Ditko design. No need to drastically change it. Just add a couple of touches to modernize it.
LIKE THIS.
BTW, I'M BACK, BITCHES! (No, not really.) |

Home brew Poser WW. Victoria 4 and V4 bodysuit, the rockin' boots by A_C_C, Curly Hair by The3dWizard, with magnets by me, background from a set at Renderosity. The 3d Wonder Woman props are by me, made in Hexagon and turned into a conforming figure with some aid from the lovely Lyrra. Lasso was made in Hexagon specifically for this pose. :)
Something about the face bugs me, but the rest of the pic, I'm very happy with. The costume is dead on where I want, as is her build. |

Some characters start out as bad-ass and lose it over time. Other characters become bad-ass later on in life. Deathstroke started off bad-ass, still is bad-ass, and always will be bad-ass! |

Wonder Woman is a DC Comics superheroine created by William Moulton Marston. She first appeared in All Star Comics #8 (December 1941). The Wonder Woman title has been published by DC Comics almost continuously except for a brief hiatus in 1986. Wonder Woman is an Amazon (based on the Amazons of Greek mythology) and was created by Marston, an American, as a "distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men." Her powers include superhuman strength, flight, super-speed, super-stamina, and super-agility. She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare. She also possesses an animal-like cunning and a natural rapport with animals, which has in the past been presented as an actual ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. She uses her Lasso of Truth, which forces those bound by it to tell the truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile, and an invisible airplane.
Created during World War II, the character was initially depicted fighting the Axis military forces, as well as an assortment of supervillains. In later decades, some writers maintained the World War II setting, with many of its themes and story arcs, while others updated the series to reflect the present day. Wonder Woman has also regularly appeared in comic books featuring the superhero teams Justice Society (from 1941) and Justice League (from 1960). Arguably the most popular and iconic female superhero in comics, Wonder Woman is also considered a feminist icon, and she is regarded as extremely physically attractive even by the standards of the superheroine. hiya gang, hope you're all in chill mode today.thanks for the views, and comments. once again here's one of my older projects. it took a little longer to get this one working again.i'm thinking it's because the daz version i used to make it was several years older than the one i use now. i took a few liberties with her outfit.some of them not intentional but i find the outcome ultra cool.kinda modern but still staying with the wonder woman theme we know. anyhoo i hope you enjoy my version. take care, *till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards* lee |

this one was a quicky i did while i was procrastinating on other's commissio-i mean work.
>_> anyway, i got the intial idea from this great artist, as seen here: http://rplatt.deviantart.com/art/Fairchild-51356757
but then i got to thinking...you ever think superhero's are in a position where their publicist's are yelling into their ears "I don't care if your facing the combined might of every damn villain in existance! if their's a camera within 15 feet i want you smiling into it!"
>_>
yeah, i'm odd. but enjoy. also, tried some new postwork techniques, but i may need to refine them.

| All your dreams are on their way mekwiat 2010/12/31 15:43 3573 1
While out and about recently, I heard the old Simon & Garfunkel tune 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters' playing, for the first time in years. Part of one stanza stuck with me:
"Sail on silver bird/sail on by, Your time has come, to shine/all your dreams are on their way..."
This reminded me, of all things, of the portion of the Power Girl Secret Origins story that speaks of how she emerged from her ship "eager to experience the world she'd only dreamed of".
So, in a moment of repose on the cusp of the New Year, I offer a portrayal of her considering all that's come before, and no doubt hoping this next year will be better than the last, like all of us.
And so, on that note, a Happy New Year to all.

| Alan Scott whiz 2012/1/16 9:55 2384 5
~Unlike others who bear the name "Green Lantern," Alan Scott's power does not come from the Guardians of the Universe, but from the Starheart, a magical entity once imprisoned by the Guardians. The Starheart found its way to Earth where in 1939, in the shape of a lantern, it saved Alan from a train wreck. At the lantern's mental direction, Alan fashioned a ring from it that allowed him to tap the Starheart's great power.Perhaps influenced subconsciously by the Starheart's history, Alan adopted the identity of Green Lantern (the name of the great Corps administered by the Guardians). hey gang, here's hoping your january is a good one. i had a blast putting together this image.i tried it once about 4 years ago with limited resources.i've had it filed away till now.it made a good base for this.for you die hard comic fans out there there are a few flaws in my design but one of my greatest joys is creating from scratch all the cool things i remember from my childhood just not always by tradition. anyhoo enjoy ;), *till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards* lee ~ And I shall shed my light over dark evil, for the dark things cannot stand the light. The light of ? THE GREEN LANTERN! Alan Scott~ |
