| A lone signal in the depths of space is picked up by the SS Lillun. Obsidian Mask investigates only to discover the signal is quite ancient and the lone stranded survivor who sent it is no more than bones and dust. It is a sad lonely sight on this barren wasteland of a planet, with few resources the castaway could not have lasted for more than a few months. Within the emergency shelter are dried food rations and the nearby water would is clean enough, but without a Matter Replication unit there was little hope for long term survival. The items will be cataloged and since this is an earth vessel the IGFW will be informed and allowed to enter Sathari Space to retrieve the escape craft. Odd though, this barren rock is several hundred light years from any Earth colonies how could it have drifted so far away and how long was that survivor in that pod before finally landing here? Some questions will have to be left to the experts. Obsidian will simply call this one: Case Closed. |

Obsidian is no stranger to the powers that be, they have known of his exploits for some time. However, in this particular instance, he is not some mere elf but a god, and a very powerful one at that. Apophis was so powerful that he required no worshipers, and is rumored to have existed since before the creation of the universe. Ra himself needed bodyguards to protect himself from Apophis. In Egyptian mythology, it would often take multiple gods and the faith of vast numbers of followers (no matter what god the worshipped) to vanquish Apophis, and even then he could only be slain for a day. By the next morning, he would rise again to assault Ra. How then could Obsidian have destroyed the Serpent god and usurped his power? Immortals are a new player in the game of gods, they are not mortal nor are they gods but something in between. As such, they are candidates for divinity and can be raised in status to gods. Unknown to Apophis is the fact that only the Egyptian gods r mortal ever slew him. No immortal armed with a relic had ever made the attempt...until now. Apophis' divine form was that of a great serpent, and standing before several posturing gods Obsidian felt obligated to remind them just how powerful he could be if he so desired. Having traveled across the vast cosmos and through the myriad of realities he simply cannot tolerate that old idiom "Beyond the understanding of mortals." that gods like to throw out when they don't feel like explaining themselves or just don't want to answer a question. Grandstanding is an attention getter to be sure. The Olympians have much to fear in the presence of "Apophis" in full splendor. Today at least they'll answer his questions and hope that he leaves in peace.
Note: Even in his mortal form Zeus' lightning is not powerful enough to harm him...but after ten or so...that's another story.
The question, to the relief of the Olympians, is: How do I stop being Apophis? The answer is simpler than you think. |

| Doctor Omega and Fred

| Doctor Omega, is the mysterious inventor of a projectile-shaped spacecraft dubbed Cosmos which can also function on land and under water. The Cosmos is 13 meters long and 3 meters in diameter. It outer hull is composed of is an element found only on one asteroid thus far (all of which has been used in the construction of the Cosmos) called Repulsite which when charged warps space\time barrier and enables it to travel in the temporal plane thus allowing for time travel. The interior is divided into four sections, the ship powered by the unique Omnicore drive which uses compressed antimatter derived from Quadrocite to power the small vessel. The windows are composed of Stellite (a transparent form of Repulsite). In addition to the pilot compartment, the sections of the ship include a cargo bay/armory, and ample sleeping quarters as well as a highly advanced temporal navigation room. It is important to note that Repulsite creates within the ship a type of temporal displacement field which causes those within to remain unaffected by any changes in the space/time continuum. Doctor Omega is a rare specimen indeed being an immortal and human, he is impervious to all forms of death save for extremes (disintegration, dissection, decapitation, and full body compression or the like) The doctor can be temporarily "Killed" by normal means during which time his body regenerates. Using a soul Stone the good doctor's life long companion Fred (The last Racaenoid in existence.) remains alive so long as the good Doctor does...their life forces inexorably linked to one another. Fred has all of the same weaknesses as the doctor with the notable exception that Fred is not harmed by non magical conventional weaponry. Fred also possesses cybernetic implants which glow brightly beneath his skin. The implants grant Fred superhuman speed (up to 550 mph), and colossal strength (Fred can lift in excess of 100 tons), Fred, while not highly intelligent does have enough experience to pilot the cosmos through both space and time and can plot rudimentary courses and activate the on board medical equipment. |
