Of all the characters in the Marvel Universe, Stan Lee has repeatedly stated that the Silver Surfer is his favorite creation. Originally created to be a nemesis of the Fantastic Four, the Silver Surfer proved to be so popular he eventually spawned his own award winning series where HIS arch-enemy Mephisto would make his first appearance in the Marvel Universe.
