Experimenting. Used a scanned in drawing as a guide.

*Modified it somewhat. Made the dark areas of his costume a little darker. Someone suggested that either here or on the other site.

I like the painted look to this although I wish the edges were a little sharper. Overall nice job.

You are correct on the holster. I'm a sucker for the cross-draw ones. It started with sharp edges but I was going for sort of a pseudo impressionistic look so I went crazy with the smudge tool.

I think you are right about the holster. I got impatient. I did hope for a sort of a painting feel.

Not alot of mystery in how he pulled this off is there? If you've ever painted in Photoshop using channels then you'd know this is his finished colors without the line-art, which would explain the jaggy/unfinished look of it. Well at least I assume that's how he did it. Pretty cool attempt I think.

I agree with DW. Also, the holster looks a little unwieldy, it's huge and looks like it would really get in the way. Plus, if he's right-handed, wouldn't the holster be on the other side?
On a more positve note, however, I do like the painted look. I think the head especially looks good. Good Job.
