Okay, that explanation sort of makes sense. I am a bit disappointed though I honestly think the "real you" is cuter than the manganized version. I put the term "real you" in quotes because I'm still only half convinced this is really you posting here and not some sweaty marketing guy.

The "model" is ME. I wasn't setting out to make my own character photo-real; I wanted to give her more of a manga influence, and nobody looks like a manga. (Well, except maybe Christina Ricci.) :)

In terms of hair color, when I first did convention appearances in costume to promote the comic book, my hair was that brownish color Mike Kelleher is using. He thought it worked better in the art than coloring it black, partly because Michelle in the series has long black hair and a schoolgirl uniform, and it's a lot easier to differentiate us at a glance if we have much different hair colors.

Now we're talkin'. The titillation thing can carry a book only so far. Good image. It would look great photo based. I still wonder about the differences in appearance between the model and the comic design.
