Michael Kelleher has been coloring my work since practically the very beginning, on BANZAI GIRL #1. So he's been colroing me for close to 6 years, I think.
My very first Banzai Girl colored piece was actually done by Marvel colorist Val Staples. He and I wrked together to set the style. After that, when Mike Kelleher came aboard, he saw what I wanted and gave it to me.
He's usually spot-on 98% of the time. He send to me a .jpg of the page...I might make a suggestion or two at most, he shows me the adjusted version, and we're done! Most of the time it's perfect the way it is.
Michael's getting busier and busier on his Marvel and Dark Horse assignments, though, that I'm looking for another colorist to team up with. Marcelo Maiolo colored a couple of my pieces but he's too busy to do anything on a steady basis.
Hugs,
