I just recently discovered that Conan the Barbarian (yes the one we all know and love) could possibly be in the public domain. There is some dispute about the copyrights as Conan has passed from hand to hand. The issue seems to be that NOBODY remembered to renew the copyrights of the original author. This opens the door for a lot of new potential. I would not miss out on this opportunity to create my own version of him and I present a concept (not the finished product) here. Feedback would be nice.

Have to say I like the image, the theme of the laser sword however, is too reminiscent of Thundarr the Barbarian.

yeah i've always wondered the same thing about Conan and Kull for that matter also. As creations of Robert E. Howard, i've always doubted that Marvel could lay claim to either. Conan should be public domain just like Tarzan and John Carter. Although I will admit no one has done it better than Marvel and if indeed this concept you've created was to be used it does have that Marvel flair to it. Very well done BTW!
