Yes, not counting the tail, as his human height was 6'0" and that's how he normally stands even now as a snake. You are correct in that with the tail he would be about 24' in length. I think that I had some old notes that I had him at something like actually 30'-40' in length but I thought that was too big and I wasn't really doing the math.
