Re: Original character: WarHammer. Explanation of powers making brain hurt, must consume more beer... Ah, beeer. Good job on this and you're not alone in writing mini-doctoral dissertations to explain superpowers

Re: Original character: WarHammer. i'm quite frightened at how much detail has been thought out on this character even superman's powers haven't been given this level of explanation. it's a great pic and i think the bikini top is quite sensible for a hot, superpowered chick with a rather large hammer. well done!

Re: Original character: WarHammer. Cool Character B! Wow. You really have her powers all worked out. Imagination and obsessive attention to detail...scary combination.

Re: Original character: WarHammer. Good character. I really like the field effect around her and her hammer. I think she would look even cooler with a chain-mail bikini top though. Can we see the base pic ?

Re: Original character: WarHammer Here comes the handbook pseudo-science bit... Ready?
Although small in stature, WarHammer is big in destructive power.
WarHammer is somehow able to "shunt" the gravitational energy of an object along a horizontal plane. effectively reducing the weight of the objects mass and adding it to the objects potential kinetic energy. Doing so allows her to seemingly lift heavy objects and propel them with double the impact. This shunting effect is a constant "field" that emanates from her body and can be extended with conscious effort to inorganic objects she touches. The rate and volume of the field extended to these objects varies with the objects mass and deteriorate rapidly when contact is broken. an object with less mass will retain the field longer.
The field inversely absorbs external kinetic energy and expels it outwardly as gravitons, effectively creating a "force" field" nearly proportional to the kinetic energy absorbed. Light and heat can be partially blocked when consciously willed, but at a greatly diminished capacity. The force field effect appears to be a subconscious effort but is diminished when transferring the shunt effect to objects, as well as being weaker outside her immediate field of vision.
Although the field of expelled gravitons cannot be extended to organic objects other than herself, the force field effect of inorganic objects in her grasp are easily amplified with minimal concentration.
Since the potential kinetic energy or gravitons of an object is greater with elevation, the higher she is relative to ground level, the greater the shunt effect on the object.
Her directional control the objects shunt effect can only be maintained while she is in contact with it.
Objects may retain the shunt effect while out of her grasp (depending on mass and the duration of contact). but the direction remains constant. Since her aim is not that good (but improving) she prefers to remain in contact, and favors her custom sledge hammer.
WarHammer has demonstrated the illusion of limited flight by shunting the gravitons on herself and her hammer and 'riding' its amplified momentum.
