Mister Mxyzptlk (/mɪksˈjɛzpɪtəlɪk/ miks-YEZ-pit-əl-ik, /ˈmɪksɪlplɪk/), sometimes called Mxy, is a fictional impish character who appears in DC Comics' Superman comic books, sometimes as a supervillain and other times as an antihero.
Mr. Mxyzptlk was created to appear in Superman #30 (Sept. 1944), in the story "The Mysterious Mr. Mxyzptlk", by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Ira Yarborough. But due to publishing lag time, the character saw print first in the Superman daily comic strip by writer Whitney Ellsworth and artist Wayne Boring.[1]
He is usually presented as a trickster, in the classical mythological sense, in that he possesses reality warping powers with which he enjoys tormenting Superman in a cartoonish way. In most of his appearances in DC Comics, he can be stopped only by tricking him into saying or spelling his own name backwards (Kltpzyxm - "kel-tip-zix-um"), which will return him to his home in the 5th dimension and keep him there for a minimum of ninety days.[2] However, this specific limitation of the character has been eliminated since the Crisis on Infinite Earths reboot, upon which the character leaves only when he willingly agrees to do so after meeting some conditions he sets, such as having Superman succeed in getting Mxyzptlk to paint his own face blue.[3]
In 2009, Mister Mxyzptlk was ranked as IGN's 76th Greatest Comic Book Villain of All Time.[4]

actually i think we're all a little young to remember pam grier's foxy character. i was about 8 when her movies came out.like most things 70's everything seemed to be rated R.these days nobody so much as bats an eye at a pair of booty shorts lol.quiet as it's kept i didn't actually watch it till i was maybe 20 something and kinda cheesy.but on the real pam was and is still a hottie.

~In Western pop culture, Raijin is usually known as Raiden (rai (雷, thunder) + den (電, lightning)), and depicted as a tall monk wearing a large straw hat (these hats are used widely throughout Asia to keep off rain), with the power to create storms, thunder, and lightning. The first use of this archetype was an appearance with other Eastern elemental gods in the film Big Trouble in Little China, released in 1986. It entered mainstream pop culture via the 1992 fighting game Mortal Kombat, which contained a character called Raiden somewhat similar to the version in Big Trouble In Little China, and repeated depictions of the character in multiple games in the same series have by now made him widely recognizable in the United States. There is a character in Hideo Kojima's epic video game Metal Gear Solid 2, who also appears later in Metal Gear Solid 4, called Raiden. He does not wear a hat, but does have long white or yellow hair and extraordinary physical abilities, also he has the use lightning to some extent. He is also in the popular American video game Warcraft 3 mod Defense Of The Ancients, which is popular worldwide, as a thunder-based hero. In the popular video game franchise, Pok?mon, the Pok?mon Voltolos is based on Raijin and/or Lei Gong, a similar Chinese thunder god. few tuts on setting up good lights i still got some graininess on mylast few attempts.BUT i loved the mysteriousness i got on this one..

this year i'm feelin pretty festive and pumped for the coming new year.2018 was great artistcally real life had few ups and downs though.all in all i have a great new job and a wonderful family and friends in all 4 corners of the world.so i have a looot to be thankful for.
in other news holy toledo !!! joinin in on the secret santa was a rush and a half!! you guys put together some amazitastic images.it was an honor for me to put an image together for drunkendragon,who i consider a legend in the 3d world.go find his bat models and you'll know what i mean.

so i think i've kept ya'll waiting long enough. a while back i was watching the witches season of american horror story that featured stevie nicks of fleetwood mac fame.needless to say i am a huge fan of the series annnnd of course stevie.especially since they featured the song '7 wonders toward the end.as the storyline went each witch had a magical gift or an ability that enabled them to attend a school that taught them to develop their talents.at the end of that training they could be chosen to take a test called '7 wonders' if they passed they were named 'witch'.
since i watched that season i've created a series of 'witch' images called appropriately named 7 wonders. cause ahs and stevie rock lol.

Wonder Woman is a DC Comics superheroine created by William Moulton Marston. She first appeared in All Star Comics #8 (December 1941). The Wonder Woman title has been published by DC Comics almost continuously except for a brief hiatus in 1986.
Wonder Woman is an Amazon (based on the Amazons of Greek mythology) and was created by Marston, an American, as a "distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men." Her powers include superhuman strength, flight, super-speed, super-stamina, and super-agility. She is highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare. She also possesses an animal-like cunning and a natural rapport with animals, which has in the past been presented as an actual ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. i took a few liberties with her outfit.some of them not intentional but i find the outcome ultra cool.kinda modern but still staying with the wonder woman theme we know.

~Benjamin “Jacob” Grimm grew up in poverty in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York. He had a terribly rough life, a drunk jobless father and brother who was a gang member in the Yancy Street Gang. His parents sustained themselves with help from Ben’s brother Dan who got his money by nefarious means.
Ben’s life took a dramatic turn when his brother was killed by a rival gang. Ben joined the Yancy Street Gang and eventually became it’s leader, but tragedy struck again when his parents were killed and Ben was forced to move in with his Uncle Jake and Aunt Alyce Grimm. His Uncle was a doctor and offered Ben a much more stable life, which Ben refused at first, but slowly Ben came around to the love and care that his family offered. He went to High School and became a football star, getting a scholarship to local Empire University.
While at the university, Ben was the roommate of Reed Richards, a science major. Although vastly different, the odd couple hit it off and became fast friends. When Ben heard of Reeds plan for building a starship he even offered to be the pilot.
After graduating, Ben did just that, he joined the military and became a pilot. He went on to be one of the best test pilots they had and even went on to train as an astronaut. Meanwhile, Reed was working on his starship plans and when he came into funding problems, Reed asked Ben to fulfill his promise years ago in college and help him pilot the ship. Ben was reluctant at first as he thought the shielding might be insufficient to protect them from radiation. Reed talked Ben into it however and they recruited Reed’s girlfriend Sue and her kid brother Johnny to accompany them.
Everything was fine until the ship was dosed in Cosmic Rays, which penetrated the ship and irradiated the crew. Upon landing, Ben and rest of the crew discovered that the Cosmic Rays had somehow changed their very genetic structure. While the other retained their human shape, Ben changed into an orange monstrous creature. Sue announced upon seeing Ben change, “He’s turned into a--some sort of a thing!” The four decided to use their new abilities for mankind and formed the Fantastic Four, a team dedicated to scientific discover and serving the world.~

hope you all are ok out there. it's been a minute since i've posted i know.until recently i've had an assortment of computer mishaps nevertheless i'm approaching 500 online images.not a lot for around 12 years of rendering but i am proud to say i was doing a google search the other day and spotted one of my 'spectre' images.what can i say, i'm always happy to find my art unexpectedly like that.
anyhoo i discovered this old west hero while browsing youtube.i'm a sucker for a cool hero as we all know.this time as i was watching his story daz was already loaded with a half sculpted figure.no doubt his story will keep me busy for a while.

aiight i've been working on a lot of dc's mainstay characters lately.one of the things i've done is study the ways alex ross reinvented dc's universe by making the characters older without taking away the characteristics that made all of 'wish we could fly'.i don't think i'll ever reach the level he and so many artists like you all have reached but i love the challenge of seeing if i can create something from the mere inspiration.

Khufu was a member of Egyptian royalty opposed by a priest of Anubis, Hath-Set. Hath-Set captured Khufu and attempted to torture him into submission. Khufu escaped and fled Hath-Set, seeking his lover, Shiera. Hath-Set doggedly pursued Khufu and one of his archers wounded Khufu just as the prince reached Shiera. Hath-Set offered both the lovers as a sacrifice to the god Anubis, using a crystal blade. As Khufu died, he swore to Hath-set that he would return one day and it would be Hath-Set's turn to die.~

nevertheless i gotta thank the crew over at www.tombraiderforums.com some of whom are here at deviant as well for their models and poses for xnalara.being primarily a daz user this has been a really fun challenge for me to pose and construct images. this is only the second model i've tried so far so this one is not as complex and detailed as some of my others.

i would loved to have seen them on film together but only if it was made in asia, by golden harvest or somebody like that.only because one or both would have gone down with the honor their films always portrayed.

Doc Savage's real name was Clark Savage, Jr. He was a physician, surgeon, scientist, adventurer, inventor, explorer, researcher, and, as revealed in The Polar Treasure, a musician. A team of scientists assembled by his father deliberately trained his mind and body to near-superhuman abilities almost from birth, giving him great strength and endurance, a photographic memory, a mastery of the martial arts, and vast knowledge of the sciences. Doc is also a master of disguise and an excellent imitator of voices. "He rights wrongs and punishes evildoers." Dent described the hero as a mix of Sherlock Holmes' deductive abilities, Tarzan's outstanding physical abilities, Craig Kennedy's scientific education, and Abraham Lincoln's goodness. Dent described Doc Savage as manifesting "Christliness." Doc's character and world-view is displayed in his oath, which goes as follows:[2]
