| Elseworlds Wonder Woman

In roleplay back in October, I got the opportunity to play an Elseworlds' style Diana, from the Hyborean age. So, this is my take. The entire outfit is from just two DAZ sets, the Centurion set and The Destroyer, with my Wonder Woman props parented to 'em. I'm pretty happy with the outcome, but I wish I'd gone with a nice braid instead of the free flowing hair, because it looks a bit too much like the Ultimate Wonder Woman for my taste, otherwise. |

V4 & MillCat. Something I'd been working on off and on for a while now. Don't really like it, don't really hate it, but at least it's a picture with a full background, that tells part of a story, maybe. |

"Don't you mess with a little girl's dream... 'cause she's liable to grow up mean." "While you were looking the other way, while you had your eyes closed... While you were licking your lips 'cause I was miserable... While you were sellin' your soul, while you were tearing a whole in me... I was taking control!" Listening to Poe at 12:30 in the morning isn't a good idea. I should have been in bed hours ago, but instead I stayed up playing with this piece I've been working on, off and on today. Selina's attitude in this pic is so strong and self assured, and I love the way her eyes look. Sometimes, I feel like I'm not doing art, so much as capturing a glimpse at a real person, somewhere. |

I say updated...just added the textures to The Hydra! Not sure if this is considered 'bad form' adding the same piccie twice within a week. If so I apologise.
There is probably a whole paragrpah on these things....but I'm a bloke...I don't read instructions, same way as I can't ask for directions. Now that is bad form! |

The curtains were originally meant to be Big Top style tenting... but I just loved the ornate embroidery and hue contrasting on the sleek lines of Selina's costume too much to swap them out once I was done.
If you need to blame someone for this picture, blame Britney Spears and that damn 'Circus' song. It got stuck in my head, and this is the final result, for good or ill. |

From October of 08, back when I started trying to put more action in my pieces, regularly. I wanted to capture the joy of freefall, the closest most of us ever get to real flight, at least while we're awake... |

Hard to believe sweet, innocent little Ice used to wear a cotume that was so... REVEALING back in her Global Guardian days, isn't it? Even she's shocked.
I mean... C'MON! High thigh cut, a neckline down to her navel. Heck, she's showing more cleavage than POWERGIRL! (Although not quite as spectacular as Peegee's )
A classic example of developing a costume before developing a character. |

| Insolent Trickster, you DARE to strike...
Khrys 2009/4/24 0:02

"Insolent trickster, you DARE to stri-AH! You dare to- oof! YOU DARE TO... QUIT IT!!! ... Oh no..." FAVORITE line from JLU, ever. Circe's one of my favorite characters in the DCU. She's the Anti-Wonder Woman, the twisted mirror image. Where Diana is an Amazon Princess, raised in peace, love and fellowship, Circe is the daughter of Titans, raised in a world of betrayal and distrust as a worshipper and eventual priestess of Hecate, the Goddess of Witchcraft. When Circe murdered her husband, after he stole her throne and power, she was driven from Colchis to the island of Aeaea, where she struck a bargain with Hecate. They would trade souls. Circe's mortal soul and Hecate's immortal body went up in flames, but before Hecate perished, she gave Circe a cryptic warning. "Upon the death of a witch and the birth of a witch, Hecate, by name and choice, shall reclaim her soul." As a goddess of the moon, Hecate had many names. Luna, Selene... Diana. Convinced that the Amazon Princess would reclaim Hecate's soul, even unintentionally, Circe set out to destroy her. And from then on, she's been one of the most bad ass, if underused and frequently underpowered for the sake of plot, characters in the DCU. For this piece, I wanted to hearken back to a number of Circe's looks, including the Perez era costume, the Deodato look, a touch of the Jimenez look, JLU and her most recent costume. I decided a cold fey perfection would nicely contrast with Diana's more earthly warmth, and tweaked Circe's build a bit, too. Granted, Circe's a mistress of illusion and an experienced shapeshifter... I hope you guys like it! |

A tribute to one of the strongest, most beautiful women in comics.
Helmet and scalemail, bump and reflection textures by me, same with Barda's face morph. Outfit is simply V4 with a second skin and her active wear, a cape for David 3 parented to V4's chest, and a pair of bracers from a ninja set at Renderosity. |

"I go wild... 'cause you break me open, wild 'cause you left me here... I go wild 'cause your promises are broken... Wild because the chips are down, wild because there isn't anybody else around. Wild when the waves start to break and god knows they're breakin' in me now... I go wild because it doesn't make sense for me to cry out in my own defense and wild because I would do anything to tear you off your precious fence! So this is what it's like, living in limbo, first I'm high, then I'm so low..."
Lyrics by Poe, which inspired this old Victoria 3 image I did about a year ago, before I switched to V4 for Catwoman. Actually, I think this was my last V3 catwoman pic... I see a lot of things wrong with this, now. Maybe I'll revisit it with V4. |

All wrapped up in one convenient package. Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva as The Cheetah, a deadly and fearsome creature. I was trying to blend a bit of the more modern takes on her with Perez's establishing look. I'm very unhappy with the tail, as the fur distinctly doesn't match her skin in places... But I love the rest. Texture took me maybe an hour, hour and a half to do, using the Fur filter from Eyecandy instead of trying to reference a photo for her skin, especially since she's never really had a Cheetah patterning to her fur. Done in December 08. |

With Superman out of town, the local thugs thought they could 'make hay whilst the sun shines'.
In a deserted alleyway in downtown Metropolis, as a terrified victim pleads for her life, a solitary figure silently descends into the light.
Catching a glimpse of movement from the corner of his eye, one of the muggers looks up, all words instantly choking in his throat. Grasping his partner in crimes arm, he tries to warn him, but his colleague is far too engrossed in the woman before him.......and ignores his partner.
He never knew what hit him........... |
