The disturber of the peace nudges him out the door and opens his ears to the calling. Awakening him to his true destiny. A destiny to rise up and deliver the world from the shadow of darkness that pervades the land.
Gathering a rag tag band of adventurers to the quest the hero can be awkward at first. But as time goes the hero will grow into his task. And with courage in his heart and the support of good friends the hero will triumph over overwhelming odds, cast down the dark lord, restore peace to the land.
And, most importantly, get the girl! |

In his high keep he plies his trade. And in an act of ultimate betrayal he has struck a Faustian pact with a vile dark lord, Offering his services in exchange for power, both mystical and political. To carry out the will of his master and in turn rule over the land as proxy.
He plots and schemes against the kingdoms of the land sending his minions to stir up trouble for the heroes. His machinations all to pave the way for the coming of the old one he has pledged to.
But although he?s sworn to serve his demon lord the dark wizards true loyalties are ultimately to himself. His ambitions are solely for his own benefit and he only does the masters bidding as long as he profits. And if he can he would, without hesitation, overthrow his ?master? and BECOME the master himself. |

Possessing a strong sense of honor she will take defeat very personal, an insult that can only be undone by hunting down the one and defeating (or mating with) the one who bested her. |

The rogue is a reluctant hero. Fancying himself a ladies man and often criminally inclined he is usually the one who is dragged into the quest against his will and yet he stays against his better judgment.
Not the one to make friends easily his sarcastic wit, thieving ways and look-out-for-number-one attitude tends to grate on the patience of the other members of the quest. Yet, in the course of the quest the rogue will, in the end, find his true worth as a hero and oddly enough becomes the one most likely to perform ?noble sacrifice?. And thus giving his comrades greater resolve to succeed. |

A wise mentor to some. A disturber of the peace to others. The sage appears from nowhere to call the hero to his destiny. To make him aware of danger posed by the adversary and nudge him out the door. Always there to dispense advise (usually in the form of riddles) the sage is never one to sugarcoat anything, telling the hero what he?s up against and what needs to be done to win the quest.
Whether he?s an ancient wizard, teacher at a school for the gifted or an aging space knight, the quest begins with the sage. |

Someday her prince will come but this damsel would prefer to undistress herself!
She was born into a life of privilege and wealth. But it is a life in a gilded cage for her. To the headstrong princess the tutors and guards who educate and protect her only stifle her and the many suitors seeking her hand (and mostly her wealth) in matrimony only annoys her. She longs for the chance to break free of the palace walls and experience the wide world beyond them and ironically the chance comes in the form of the dark forces building in the shadows and the sinister plans they have for her. Perhaps it is to sacrifice her in a malevolent ritual or even an unholy marriage to the dark lord.
But with the bravery of the hero the princess and her kingdom is saved. Now if only he can save her from the humdrum of royal duties?. |
