| Martian Manhunter has a new costume in the comics that I think is pretty cool. Not to mention a sad origin of being the last surviving Martian. Or not. I seem to remember a storyline with some evil White Martians so I guess he's not the complete last. The last benevolent Martian I guess. |

In those painting kits my girlfriend and I bought were these little artist model fellows. So of course I had to draw a domino mask on mine which led to the idea of this guy. I don't know what to call him but I thought the story would be something like...
An anonymous comic book artist/cartoonist draws a superhero outfit on this wooden artists model. What the artist doesn't know is that while they sleep, the power of the artist's imagination brings the little guy to life AND bestows upon him superpowers allowing him to fight crime. But only when the artist is asleep. I know it sounds alot like the Marvel character Sleepwalker but oh well. Just an idea rambling around my head. |

| I work on sundays at this local used books/music/comics/dvds/etc. store. Recently the owner decreed that we shall have to wear nametag things. The ones they provided for us were ridiculously shoddy little things so I doodled this one in about 5 minutes before work today/yesterday. I only had time to do the drawing there so I brought it home tonight, scanned it and colored it. I'm gonna print it out and use the colored version from now on. I like the way it turned out considering how little time I spent drawing it. |

The idea for this particularly crappy drawing was born at work today when I was thinking about how sleepy I was. I was thinking about how I seem to be sleepy all the time and the name 'Captain Sleepy All The Time' sprang to mind. After thinking about it for around the next 10 hours I did this when I got home. The name changed to 'Narcoleptress' which is probably obvious. This character somehow acquired the power to make other people sleepy. To the point where she can actually make them fall asleep completely. Unfortunately, if she isn't actively using her power on someone, she feels sleepy herself. Which is why she is usually seen with a cup of coffee. And her belt pouches are full of money to buy more. She also leaves her shirt open to the navel since, owing to the fact that most criminals are male and she is usually sleepy when first encountering them, she often needs that first moment of distraction to snap out of her fugue and zap em with her powers.
She does help out friends sometimes who may be suffering from insomnia. |

| I think that one of my first submissions here was a much older version of this idea. If not then just forget this explanation and enjoy the pic.(I hope.) I don't like it much at all anymore. The impulse to redo it has been nagging at me for awhile now so I finally just did it. I like this one alot better. I just think the whole thing is better. From the newer outfit and game to the new text in the word balloon. I hope everyone else likes it as much as or better than the original. I do. |

why I rarely draw the Hulk. But hey, at least I get to see him with body hair. I've always thought he should either have body hair or have NO hair at all. I mean, doesn't exposure to radiation make hair fall out? Or if it doesn't affect him like that than shouldn't he have more body hair since all his other natural aspects are augmented?
Oh yeah I forgot...hulk smash. |

| Cathryn and I tried some painting again last night. I feel like I should paint something other than superheroes but I'm intimidated by painting so I fall back to subjects I'm comfortable with. I know, I know, it should have a background but bear with me. First things first. I have to get comfortable simply with painting before I can try to add backgrounds. The character has no name. He's just an easy painting subject. |

This drawing is probably around 8 years old. This was done back when Wizard magazine had art contests. The contest was to draw the Kyle Rayner Green Lantern defeating Dr Light in an original way. I just sent in the black and white ink drawing since I didn't have photoshop back then but I did get one of the 20 1st runner up prizes which was really cool. I got some autographed comics. I found this recently and thought I would add some color. Just remember, the drawing is 8 years old.
I don't know how long Dr Light had this outfit but its the one he had during the contest and I can't find an image of it anywhere on the freakin' net to use for a color reference.
Oh and in case anyone has the issue of Wizard where they printed the winners, you won't see mine. They didn't print it! Maybe because it wasn't colored. |

| Well, I figured I'd go ahead and color it. Warts and all. I left it with flat colors since they didn't do alot of shading and stuff back when these guys showed up. Plus I cropped it some to keep the negative space to a minimum. For better or WORSE here it is. |

| I did this page a bit differently. I realized that I probably don't need to make the pencils on each page so dark. I tried to leave this one less so but I think it just ended up looking shoddy and rushed. I'm confident the inker can redeem it though. |

Even Batman has to pee sometime and I doubt the Batmobile comes equipped with a Bat-urinal. And those all night patrols can be killers on the bladder. Especially after some of Alfred's coffee.
Ok, ok. The Batmobile probably does have some kind of contraption for Bats to relieve himself or Batman can control his body to the degree that he could go days or weeks without urinating but a cartoon about that wouldn't be very funny now would it? Not that I'm assuming this one is funny either but you get my point.

| Ker1 asked me to post this. A few months ago a guy contacted me thru DeviantArt and asked if I would do a version of those peeing Calvin stickers with a stormtrooper from StarWars. He added the 'Jedi' later. He said he intended to use it for an automobile window decal. |
