I don't know what you would call this. But this is my latest commission. The story goes, that this girl was diving and found this scepter in the lost city of Atlantis, which cause her diving suit to fuse to her skin. And some how she got 2 house legs and a fish tail. Maybe she is a sea horse. Anyways enjoy. |

Here are 2 mermaids that I have done before (posted here at heromorph) fighting each other. They are fighting over the orb that is sitting on the bottom being taken by some tentacles. |

Another commission. The story goes that this female diver found a crown in a treasure chest and when she put it on, her lower half turn to a fish and the diving suit fussed to her skin. You can see that scuba tank, flippers and goggles in the back ground. I penciled, ink and colored this piece. |

| RED SONJA! by Jinky Coronado JinkyCoronado 2010/6/14 22:03 15375 14
I don't get a whole lot of comments on my work actually posted here on Heromorph, but I DO receive a lot of them left on my website or Emailed to me at banzaigirlmc@aol.com. (I love getting comments, so post 'em!! Please!)
One thing that seems to get a lot of attention is my drawing popular established comics characters. So my subject this time is RED SONJA.
It always bothers me when artists do a drawing where the heroine is just sort of standing around posing prettily, or maybe holding a weapon and looking like she's going "Grrrrr." Comics are about storytelling, so I try to tell a story of some sort with every drawing I do.
For this illustration, I decided to depict Res Sonja in the midst of battle, leading a hoard of female warriors, and attacked by a creature so vile his skin had been ripped from his body, revealing the muscles beneath! I wanted it full of energy, action, power -- and even at the monster's seeming moment of triumph, to give Red Sonja a sense of movement and beauty and grace -- without ever losing the knowledge that she is a warrior.
What do you think?
Hugs,
