| "I'm a Cop!" - Keith Hamilton Cobb as Bishop Angelophile 2004/3/16 2:02 3546 3
Another old manip, but I figured I hadn't posted in so long I better remind you guys I'm still alive. ;) Suggested by a friend, this is Keith Hamilton Cobb (aka Tyr from Andromeda) as the X-men's Lucas Bishop. Not a bad bit of casting. |

| MARCH CHALLENGE [Cloak & Dagger] StarChild 2005/3/20 4:19 3554 11
Well here's my March Movie Challenge. Don't know how popular these characters are with everyone, but I really wanted to go with someone who was not on the list of movies being planned. I used a combination of Micheal Jai White and Wesley Snipes for the image of Cloak and the Dagger pic was just a model I had in my archives. I tried to find a good pic of someone in a hood but wound up making it myself. I'm most proud of the movie title logo [took a coupla hours to get it the way I wanted it].Decided not to go with all the movie credits [hope it doesn't count against me]. Who knows maybe this one will make it to the big screen one day...if not at least ya got this to dream on. |

this is a female version of the x-men's chamber. this is my first manip so i kept it simple. i added the x on her neck, some make up, the cracks on the face and some lighting on the face. hope u like! |

| Black Racer Wasmith 2007/6/27 13:57 3559 8
Jodie Moore as the Black Racer. The base image is from the jar.
This was one GOTW that I had problems finding a base image for, and I was 100% unfamiliar with this character. The reference I used was not very good, and it was somewhat hard to make out the details. I may have taken a few liberties, but hey, it's the creative process at work! |

This is my first attempt at a hero manipulation, after much time studying various tutorials. Thoughts? |

| Wolfsbane LocalHero 2007/8/25 9:23 3560 2
Here we find Rahne Sinclair who has just caught the interest of a Savage Land T-Rex.
Well i've had this floating about unfinished for a few years now and finally managed to put it to bed. I seem to recall the pose was the first thing that attracted me to the pic, as it immediately cried out to be made into a crouching hero - but which one? I decided that I would have a go at Wolfsbane - seeing as I hadn't really attempted fur. The model is estella warren. I cut the body from the background and began layering on hairs. This was build up in patches with additional shading done on each set. The grass was done in a similar way. I can't really recall why I got stuck with it, but I think that it was the original hair that kept putting me off. In the end I just removed it all and added new hair using a wig image as a base and adding more layers. The background pic I have used before in my Rogue/Gambit transgender. |

| Marvel Elseworlds Kallisti Style, pt. 5: Rogue Kallisti 2004/12/15 18:30 3564 5
OK so i went for the feisty-teenager look for rogue here, fairly simple costume. just jeans and a sweater basically, over a protective bodysuit. naturally, the bodysuit is more to protect others, not rogue herself. her gloves are easily removable, so she doesn't have to go around kissing bad guys all the time. enjoy! comments appreciated... |

| Ultimate Spidey v.s. 616 thestarkiller 2011/1/30 15:21 3565 2
Did a new Spidey figure, but I still really like the other one I was using, so I decided to go Ultimate with the new one. Expect an Ultimate MJ soon.
p.s. This is just a test render. I was in no way trying to blow any minds with this one, especially since my Ultimate Spidey isn't even finished. Still need the socks to complete the costume. I just wanted a side by side comparison of the two figures.
Comments are welcome and appreciated. |

| nova II by batmic BatMic 2004/6/22 10:22 3567 10
another nova from me. i have a thing right now for fiery femmes, my next one will be fire star. quite a simple pic, the base was just some chick jumping in the air so i desaturated it, inverted it and using the curves, created a more metallic look. the fire was done using the clouds filter and different lighting effects but what i like the most is the reflections. it makes her more a part of the pic rather than simply being placed on top of a baxkground.
oh! and i did the background from scratch in case anyone was wondering. enjoy! |

| Rogue thestarkiller 2008/6/21 19:32 3567 7
The delectable Gauge as Rogue. Although, from her movies, we all know that Gauge can be touched, but she still leaves you drained afterwards. Pulled this image from our very own cookie jar.
Do you guys think I should try adding the bulky leather jacket? It seemed like it would be a bit much considering how much space she's taking up in the picture. |

| Darkstar Wasmith 2006/4/28 11:07 3571 7
This is nothing great, just a quickie. The base was small to begin with but I fell in love with the model's face... and I got the idea from Vampire Lover. I think I will do a better, larger, stronger, faster, etc. Darkstar mod in the future.
Don't know who the model is. |

| Dark Phoenix Redux JMPerkins 2011/10/13 12:09 3575 4
I wanted to redo the one I did a couple years ago because I felt it could be better.
The original idea was a cover recreation of "Phoenix Endsong" but since moved past that with the same feeling
The model is the same. Jennifer Korbin. |

| Mission Improbable: Mystique Anyte 2008/3/27 20:01 3576 6
Inspired by QuantumFX, decided to try one of the challenge images as well. I haven't done any sort of photomanipulation in quite some time, so it was a bit of fun. Repainting skin is one of my favorite things. I want to do something about the texture/sheen of the gloves, but I think that's outside my particular area of expertise. |

| Wonderman By Winterhawk Winterhawk 2004/8/6 12:34 3579 7
This is actually a preview of my entry to the July Challenge. I have done a couple of different characters to put into one image and I way planning on posting each character in a separate manip afterwards anyway. But Since I have not submitted anything in a while and I just extended the deadline for the July Challenge I figured I would submit this one now. |

| Spiderman unmasked Jedifan227 2004/4/1 20:04 3602 4
I thought this was a good idea. But, I'll probably add the mask later. It was a good base, and a good "moody"pose. I like the overall look of the piece. |

| "Fame" - U-Go Girl, Orphan and Doop (Nov Challenge) Angelophile 2004/11/8 3:15 3611 8
Okay, this is one of the manips I've been working on some time, but the November challenge theme prodded me to finish it off and submit it. Here we have the world's favourite mutants, U-Go Girl (depicted by Jennifer Jason Leigh) and The Orphan (Jude Law) along with Doop (a King Edwards potato) on the cover of Hello! celebrity magazine. Time just seemed too highbrow for them.
Even managed to sneak in Phat, (depicted by Eminem, who else?)
All work was done in Photoshop CS, the costumes Frankensteined as usual from dozens of different sources. Another manip that weighed in at around 120 layers.
I appreciate any comments. |

| Red&Blue ortiz01lgnd 2007/4/14 21:34 3612 5
Well, here's my second attempt. I did cut alot of corners since I was short on time. I know, Supergirl's cape looks kinda fake, and Spidey, well, let's just say that I've still gotta lot to learn. The webing on his suit was taking me too long so I just left it out. I chose a honeycomb pattern to try and imitate the real spidey suit. Sure, I could've just found a pic of the real suit and pasted it to the image but I'd rather keep practicing with creating the suit from scratch. Well, let me know how I can improve. Thanks for any suggestions... |

| Electro- Movie Version Jedifan227 2008/2/8 20:54 3615 5
I considered this old baddie for a secondary bad guy role in Spiderman 4. The main one has to be Carnage of course, and I have a manip planned to use the same base as this one, except it would be Carnie. As for an actor for the role? Perhaps, Alan Cumming, the guy from X-2 (electric boogaloo), |

| Spider-Woman VoltAmpere 2005/6/24 0:48 3616 10
Ok, now this is the 6th time i've tried to upload this image... this costume's been lying around the house for a while now. Finally took my lazy bum make a manip of it, and finish it. This is actually a hybrid of Ben Reiley's last costume, the black costume, and spider-woman 2's costume. I never could get the spider emblem look right, even on paper. it always ends up looking like an ant with an extra pair of legs, probably because it's stretched around the major axis. |
