| Starman Kallisti DC Comics 2012/5/25 15:49 2512 1
Well, it has been a while, but I felt like trying out an old-school photomanip using the GIMP instead of Photoshop. Since I use Linux as my main operating system these days, Photoshop is simply not an option. I like the GIMP as a replacement program, I just haven't quite figured out how to do all the things I used to do with Photoshop yet. Needless to say, my skills are rusty as this is the first manip I have completed in years. That's why I went with a character that was fairly simple. Comments/criticism/hate mail always appreciated. |

| Do you mind? I'm busy here... Kallisti Marvel Comics 2009/5/23 21:22 3254 4
I've been slaving over this portrait of Domino since last night, and I think I'm done. So here she is, in all her annoyed glory. Comments appreciated. |

| Clara Kent has a Secret... Kallisti DC Comics 2009/5/17 21:28 7258 3
So I got to thinking about Super Girl having Clark Kent's day job, and this is what I came up with. Model is known only as "Lia19". She's been "19" since 2003 |

| Spider-Woman & Viper Redux Kallisti Marvel Comics 2009/5/13 19:59 3419 2
So, I just spent 4 hours of my life (that I will never get back) fumbling around in Adobe InDesign CS4 to help a friend with a project he needed for work. I have no experience with this seemingly non-intuitive program and it was quite a hassle. Long story short (too late) I was left with a feeling of ineptitude that I am not used to experiencing when working in Photoshop. So I decided to touch up a manip I posted sometime last year just to prove to myself that I still know how to use a computer. I don't know if that rant makes any sense, but here's a manip of Viper whispering in Spider-Woman's ear with the eyes fixed. If you're not familiar with the original, here's a link.

I think it looks better. |

| Spider-Woman in Hydra's Grip Kallisti Marvel Comics 2007/5/6 11:39 4221 8
I really liked this base pic, and instantly envisioned Hydra's leader the Viper whispering instructions into a not-so-sure Spider-Woman's ear.
Happy with the costumes and wrinkles, not so thrilled about the eyes or the mask in general.
Let me know what you think! |

| Comeback Manip-- Obligatory WonderWoman Kallisti DC Comics 2007/5/5 20:49 4554 10
Hey guys! I've recently begun dabbling in manipping again, now that i have a machine that will behave at least half the time... looks like i'm a bit rusty! Everyone here has certainly progressed WAY beyond what i remember from the last time i posted here. I have some catching up to do!
This is just a basic Aria Giovanni WonderWoman job. Just making sure i still know how to do this...
Let me know what you think! |

two more original characters by me. see pic description below, yaddayaddayadda... |

| Eris and the Chaos Girls, pt1 Kallisti Original Characters 2006/3/5 19:52 3524 5
a couple of characters from a comic series i'm half-a$$ed developing on and off for the last couple of years now. i posted these over at Bold Comics, and hopefully they're still there, as i plan to continue work as soon as i get my video card issues taken care of.
anyways, this is Eris, and one of her Chaos Girls. there are numerous members of this loose-knit 'team.' i'll post a bit more info in a comment if anyone is interested. or they can check out all the manips i've done of these and other characters, and about a dozen pages scripted for 'issue 1' over at BC.
nice to be back :) |

| Wonder Woman: Variations by Kallisti part 2 Kallisti DC Comics 2005/3/17 12:46 7022 15
i know, i know, i said the next work in the Variations series would be in the adult gallery... but i had some setbacks while working on it and decided to do this one instead. i promise the NEXT one will be in the Members gallery. ...anyway, here's one of my favorite models, Adrianna Sage, as Wonder Woman. nothing fancy here, pretty straightforward manip. basically i used this project to tutor myself in the uses of the pen tool. Enjoy! Comments appreciated... |

| Wonder Woman: Variations by Kallisti part 01 Kallisti DC Comics 2005/3/7 10:38 3804 2
OK, so most of you will recognize this manip, because i posted another version of it already. i've prettied her up a bit here, apparently i left her a bit too rough for most people's tastes. i also changed her eye color and made the gold of her headband a bit more realistic. here's Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman on the cover of a bogus magazine called Hero Insider. this is part one in a series of WW manips i'm doing, each either using a different model, or different costume inspired by comics, tv, and homemade ww costumes. part02 in the series will be posted in the members gallery! |

| Hero Insider Issue #1 Kallisti DC Comics 2005/3/2 21:11 3738 6
So i found this magazine cover for something called "Star Week" and it had Lucy Lawless on it and some interview about some new series she's supposed to be in after Xena. The Warrior Woman title was already there. Basically I just made the headband, plopped in some new text, and tried to smooth some of the lines on her face out a bit. but not too much! WW is supposed to be tough as nails... Could possibly become a new series. Enjoy! Comments appreciated... |

| Ask and Ye Shall Recieve: She-Hulk and Thundra (for BikerBot) Kallisti Marvel Comics 2005/2/19 23:04 4542 6
so yeah BB requested a bigger manip of this pair from my previous post. so here they are, tearin' up the town. Enjoy!!! Comments appreciated. |
|
| Avengers Spotlight: She-Hulk and Captain America Kallisti Marvel Comics 2005/2/18 18:15 4061 6
Caught in a sneak attack by The Scorpion and Thundra, Cap and Shulkie are in for quite a fight! Basically, i just wanted to use some base pics that i've been sitting on forever. I'm happy with the way it turned out, sure more could be done, but I've been busy and just felt like being done with this piece. Enjoy! Comments Appreciated... |
|
| Marvel Elseworlds, Kallisti Style: Dazzler and Jubilee at the Club Kallisti Marvel Comics 2005/2/2 16:51 4780 14
okay, i've been gone a while, but inspiration hit me the other day while browsing my model collection and here you have it: my versions of Dazzler (model is Lindsey Marshall, red hair on right) and Jubilee (a combination of two unknown models, on the left). i guess they're at a rave or something. they probably got paid to do the light show... its good to be back! Enjoy! comments appreciated... |
|
| Marvel Elseworlds Kallisti Style, pt. 5: Rogue Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/12/15 18:30 3689 5
OK so i went for the feisty-teenager look for rogue here, fairly simple costume. just jeans and a sweater basically, over a protective bodysuit. naturally, the bodysuit is more to protect others, not rogue herself. her gloves are easily removable, so she doesn't have to go around kissing bad guys all the time. enjoy! comments appreciated... |
|
| Marvel Elseworlds, Kallisti Style: Black Cat Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/12/13 20:44 4658 13
because the mighty Winterhawk demanded it: here's my version of Black Cat. i fiddled with this for a long time, decided to give up the white hair... i had the idea for a pink/black color combo for a while... the leopard print was almost an afterthought, heh. enjoy! comments appreciated... who should i do next? |
|
| Marvel Elseworlds Kallisti Style, pt. 3: Fantastic Four Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/12/12 16:44 4439 10
after doing my sue storm elseworlds pic, i couldn't let go of the idea to redo all four members of the team. here's what i spent a good portion of my sunday on, to get it out of my system. i toyed with the idea that they wear different colored uniforms, probably from mission to mission, and carry various pieces of mission-specific equipment. due to his elasticity, mr. fantastic carries no gadgets. went for a sort of same-but-different concept for both ben grimm and johnny storm. enjoy! comments appreciated. |
|
| Marvel Elseworlds Kallisti Style, pt. 2: Invisible Girl Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/12/6 18:33 4378 5
OK so i didn't change her appearance all that much, just changed the costume colors and made the whole thing look a little more high-tech. the Fantastic Four strike me as a group that would use lots of gadgets. i plan on doing a group manip of my versions of the entire team. Enjoy! comments appreciated. Welcome Back Heromorph!!! |
|
| Marvel Elseworlds, Kallisti Style: Mystique Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/11/14 12:07 4171 6
so here's the kick-off of my series of Marvel heroines (and possibly villainesses) remade and revamped. this is the follow-up to my DC series of the same theme. here's Silvie Thomas as Mystique. enjoy! comments appreciated. |
|
| DC Elseworlds Kallisti Style: Powergirl REPOST Kallisti DC Comics 2004/11/10 13:39 5009 11
by popular demand, here's a reworked version of my Elseworlds version of PowerGirl, without the lens flare. i did a little more touching up while i was there, making her eyes green and just generally cleaning the image a bit. for those interested, the model is Masuimi Max. enjoy! comments appreciated. |

| October Challenge: Happy Halloween, Spider-Man... Kallisti Other Comics 2004/10/31 22:38 3670 13
Spider-Man was hot on the trail of Jack-O-Lanter, knowing he was up to no good. The web-slinger trailed him to an unfamiliar city, and was about to make his move, when out of nowhere Jack's old rival the Hobgoblin joined the party. The air ripples underneath Jack's flying disc as he lobs bomb after bomb at the Hobgoblin. Things look pretty scary for our hero, but the tables are about to turn, as Spidey recieves help from a couple of unlikely sources... |
|
| DC Elseworlds Kallisti Style: Wonder Woman Kallisti DC Comics 2004/10/29 20:07 5745 10
this one took the longest of the bunch, mainly because i really couldn't decide on costume changes... the casting was easy, that's Tera Patrick. i franked her head onto the buff base model, and then manipped until my heart was content.. or at least until i was sick of looking at it. part 5 in an ongoing series of customized DC heroines... only one more to go! enjoy! comments appreciated. |
|
| DC Elseworlds Kallisti Style pt4: Mary Marvel/Black Eve Kallisti DC Comics 2004/10/25 21:14 5439 5
ok so for mary marvel i decided to take sort of a black adam approach, partly because i couldn't really decide on a modified costume i liked, and more because, well, black adam doesn't wear a cape and i didn't feel like doing one. so there. so here's Black Eve, or Mary Marvel if she wasn't much of a good guy. i just made a costume switch here, because this base model really captures a bit of brattiness that i've always associated with the young ms. mary for some reason. part four in an ongoing series. enjoy! comments appreciated. |
|
| DC Elseworlds Kallisti Style, pt3: Catwoman Kallisti DC Comics 2004/10/25 21:10 5867 14
this pose is pure catwoman, and the model is the incomparably sexy Ariana Sage. another installment in my elseworlds series, featuring a somewhat modified variation of a little-used costume, and a very different-looking selina kyle. enjoy! comments appreciated. |
|
| DC Elseworlds Kallisti Style pt2 REPOST: Batgirl Kallisti DC Comics 2004/10/25 21:09 4763 7
the more i looked at the original i posted, i didn't like the mask. so i decided to rework this one a bit, and post it again. this is my version of Batgirl, or rather, the third version of my version. part 2 in a series of dc heroines i'm revamping, some with minor changes, others with much more radical ones. enjoy! comments appreciated |
|
| Medusa Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/10/18 10:43 3885 9
a strange manip. i had to rework the hair quite a bit, but you'd be surprised at how much was on the base pic. i think the model is pop singer Shakira. enjoy. comments appreciated. |
