| After making a trio of Jewish/semi-Hanukkah inspired heroes, and a whole slew of Christmas-themed heroes, I decided to try my hand at creating a character for the third most prominent of winter holidays, Kwanzaa. "Spirit of Kwanzaa" here is the result. I do not celebrate Kwanzaa myself, and before I created this character, I knew zero about it other than that it involved lighting candels much like people do during Hanukkah. So, it was very interesting doing the research about all the concepts and ideals that make up the celebration in order to work it all into an origin for him and bring it all together as the basis for his powers and abilities. Also, while he has a tragic origin involving gun violence around a winter holiday, I want to make it clear that I am in no way making any kind of political statement in light of similar tragedies that have occurred during this 2012 holiday season. I wrote this long before any of those events occurred, and anything I have written for this character is purely and oddly coincidental. (I would never make light of anything like that anyway.) My intent was strictly to create an impactful origin for the character in the vein of similar "avenging spirit" types such as "Deadman" or "The Specter." |

My first image of 2013! It's partly a retrospective of all the character profiles that I've done up to this point, and partly a way to ring in the new year with a somewhat large boast that my future offerings are going to surpass anything done so far. Here's hoping that I can indeed live up to my claim!  It's also my very own long awaited re-introduction of a character that I haven't used since 2007, Mindwave. She's not the first character that I ever created, but she's one of the first that I ever started using online for different sites, contests and etc. so she has a special place in the CSCU, and I thought it was appropriate to use her in my little play on words here to usher in the new year instead of going with my "New Year's Eve" character or someone else like my version of "Father Time" like I've done in the past. |

Decades before the time of The AntiSocial Man, the planet's most powerful heroic figures teamed to repel deadly villains and threats to Earth.
Formed by the group's formidable leader The Starfighter, the team includes Vengeance (front left), Split (front right); Mr Nobody, The Black Beacon, Maniakill, Pace (middle row, left to right); Shevil - The Beelzebabe, Master Mage, and D.O.A. - The Undead Ninja (back, left to right).
I could tell ya what each character is all about, but then I'd have to kill ya...
This was just originally to be a colour-schemes test I did after drawing it in 2008, so I still plan on colouring it for proper sometime... later. |

Hell is not a place of suffering and brimstone. It is alive. A dimension, an entire universe, living, thinking, HATING. Unknowably large, incomprehensibly old, impossibly chaotic--Hell is what Lovecraft would have written about, if he were completely insane. Hell eats Cthulu for breakfast, and washes it down with some Arwassa for dessert. And a thing so vast and alien and...beyond you, you small, stupid, ape of a creature, could never stoop so low as to actually speak with an insignificant insect like you. And even if it wanted to, your clumsy meat-mind could never comprehend it's omnivorous will. And so, I am. Me, not a demon, not a man, not anything more then an ambassador. A masthead. Name: Jerimiah Dark (alias?)
Age: Unknown, appears about 30+
The exact origins of the person calling themselves Jeremiah Dark are at this time unknown. The Division of Advanced Humans, Research Branch, confirms references to a person or persons bearing this name as far back to England circa 1535 CE. Variations and translations of the Dark surname date to Egyptian papyri and wall art circa 2800 BC. The story and physical description is essentially the same a mysterious, masked, light haired male about 30 years of age. He maintains few contacts and has so far remained untraceable. The included photo (see above) is the only known evidence of his existence, assuming this is actually him.
The above photographic evidence, fits into the standard MO of this "Jeremiah Dark" All of the sparse historical references to "Dark" maintain that they are "monster hunters". As seen in photo J58BK245 he is in the process of successfully neutralizing two Homo Vampirii, or vampires. There are documents cataloging this MO as well as references to harpies, werewolves (Homo Lycanus), and, if it can be believed, a dragon in 1538.
This iteration of "Dark" exhibits advanced speed, reflexes, and better than average strength. It is conjectured that he may also possess enhanced eyesight including vision capability into the infrared range.
Any agent attempting to make contact should approach with caution. While documented, fatal attacks on non-advanced humans, "normals", are rare they are typically confined to the criminal element. However a few unconscious London Metro Police Officers (1898) and Roman vigils (see documents: Cicero X12A35 & Lyceneus X25A38), Security access 7 required) are documented.
