| MAXIMUM Magazine blubeetle3 DC Comics 2009/8/9 11:21 2893 6
MAXIMUM Magazine, the Men's Magazine for Men, has come out with their latest issue.
...But, I only read it for the articles!
CHECK IT OUT, MAN! |
|
| Mary Marvel: Sweet Sixteen blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/29 18:26 3871 9
She looks all grown-up, but, she's still a teenager. And there's an old saying where I come from: "Sixteen will get you twenty!" |
|
| Martian Manhunter M4 blubeetle3 DC Comics 2011/5/29 19:49 1992 0
I'm starting to warm up to M4. It's giving more options to really add character to the faces of characters. |
|
| Lunchtime blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/5/17 15:49 3341 9
Y'know, even superheroes need to eat. Blue Beetle enjoys a Soder Cola and a Big Belly Burger. And Power Girl... ahem... chokes down a foot-long! |
|
| Love in the Afterlife? blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 23:25 4040 8
I rendered this pic and immediately thought, "Jeez! This looks like the cover to some cheesey romance novel!" So, I says to myself, "Self, why not do it?" Plus, I haven't post anything in awhile.
Sooooo...
"Blue Beetle and Ice. Former teammates. Both had their lives taken from them too early. Can they find a second chance with each other after death? Can they find... LOVE IN THE AFTERLIFE?" |
|
| Kolchak: The Night Stalker blubeetle3 TV and Movies 2011/7/11 9:58 2759 7
Carl Kolchak. Intrepid reporter. The X-Files and Supernatural owe so much to Kolchak for blazing the way that it's not even funny.
As far as I know, this is the first Kolchak 3d rendering on the net. So, not only is this the first, as of now, this is the BEST 3D RENDER OF KOLCHAK ON THE ENTIRE INTERNET!
WOO-HOO! I RULE! |
|
| Kneel Before ZOD! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/12/31 10:06 2678 5
"Why do you say these things to me when you know I will kill you for it?!"
My take on General Zod. I retained the black patent leather boots and trim from the movie version. Added the red verticle design and deep blacks from the John Byrne reboot version from the comicbooks.
Zod's face, of course, is inspired by Terrence Stamp's great performance in Superman II. However, as I look at it, a little touch of Anthony Ainley's Master from Doctor Who seems to have crept in.
Also, I changed Zod's Kryptonian symbol into one inspired by Superman's from Kingdom Come. The hair I had to change by making a new transparency map for Jason Hair.
"Son of Jor-El... KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!" |
|
| Justice League International: REBOOTED! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/7/11 15:55 4632 10
What if the nations of the world found out about the JLA's dirty little "mindwipe" secret? What if the nations of the world pushed the United Nations into severing ties with the JLA and forming a new superhero group to be govern by the U.N.? What if there were a new JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL formed?
"They're BA-AAACK!" |
|
| JSA: The Old Guard blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/2/4 16:42 2910 5
Yes, these guys are your (grand)parents' superheroes!
If the "Trinity" is the backbone of the JLA, these three are the heart-and-soul of the JSA!
WILDCAT- Former world heavyweight boxing champ Ted Grant had gone the distance with Joe Louis. The right hook Louis felt is the same that a lot of criminals have felt! Wildcat has helped trained a lot of today's heroes (including Batman, Nightwing, and Black Canary).
THE GREEN LANTERN- Before Abin Sur gave Hal Jordan his power ring, Earth already had a Green Lantern. Alan Scott found a magic lantern, from which he fashioned a ring to fight against injustice. Unlike modern Lanterns, Scott's ring had a weakness to wood, not the color yellow.
THE FLASH- Jay Garrick is the man that would inspire many to take up the mantle of "The Flash". Barry Allen was a life-long fan even before the accident that would grant him super-speed. The others to follow Allen all held a deep respect and admiration for Jay Garrick.
Yes, this is a "character piece"! Get used to it! |
|
| JLIClassified: POWER GIRL blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/19 15:21 3718 5
Sixth pic in the series.
Is tomorrow here already? I guess not. But, this is it. For now. More later if people demand it. |
|
| JLI Classified: ICE blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/19 15:16 2724 3
Fifth (FIF!) pic in the series.
Gonna keep on the low side of the limit today. More (but, not TOO many more) tomorrow. Same Bat-time. Same bat-channel. |
|
| JLI Classified: GUY GARDNER blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/19 15:09 2347 1
Fourth pic in the series.
Taking my time and keepin' it under the limit this time. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. |
|
| JLI Classified: FIRE blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/17 9:44 3139 3
Third pic in the series.
Collect 'em all! |
|
| JLI Classified: BOOSTER GOLD blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/17 9:41 3054 2
The second pic in the series.
Gotto get 'em all! Gotto get 'em all! |
|
| JLI Classified: BLUE BEETLE blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/17 9:37 2877 4
I had this series just sitting in my hard drive. Think of it as a "Who's Who" only set during the JLI era of the League.
Print 'em out. Collect 'em. Trade 'em with your friends (if ya got any). |
|
| J'Onn J'Onzz: MARTIAN MANHUNTER blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/5/29 8:50 2474 2
J'Onn J'Onzz: Martian Manhunter. Heart and soul of the Justice League. A member of every incarnation from the beginning to the present day.
Looking through my gallery, I saw that I never posted a non-group pic of Old Greenie. So, I dusted him off, add the nifty background from the "Olympus Mons" set, and viola! |
|
| Introducing... HIGHLAND LASS!!! blubeetle3 Original Characters 2011/1/30 15:14 2311 2
A BB3 original, HIGHLAND LASS is Scotland's Defender. A long-legged, small-chested redhead with an attitude, she's no one to mess with. Aside from her clan tartan (and like a true Scot, she doesn't wear anything underneath!), she dresses in blue and white, the colors of Scotland's flag.
As Sean Connery's tattoo reads: "Scotland Forever". |
|
| In Memorium blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:18 3939 12
I'm guessing the language in my last attempt to post this was too profane.
Suffice it to say that I'm extremely upset with DC Comics. Preview issues of DC's "Countdown" book have come out and Blue Beetle is the latest victim in DC's ever-darkening universe. I lament the fact that there is no room for humor there anymore. |
|
| Ice: Tweaked! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/4/10 16:58 3224 8
I spent a lot of time this weekend just tweaking characters I created on Poser. Ice here is one.
I have a genuine, authentic Marvel Comics "No Prize" for the first person who guesses correctly what got changed on her. |
|
| Here Comes Trouble! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/2/17 17:14 2815 5
The last thing Batman expected when he entered the Justice League hangerbay was to have his presence announced by Blue Beetle... |
|
| Guy Gardner: Real American Hero?!!! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:17 2769 3
Well, at least in Guy's mind he is!
This is still a work in progress, but, I'm getting closer (inch by inch, little by little) to what I want. The hair still bothers me though. |
|
| Guy Gardner M4 Version blubeetle3 DC Comics 2011/5/15 15:18 2470 8
As some of you may know, I prefer Michael3 to Michael4 for my superheroes. However, M4 does offer better facial morphs, which is a plus for some characters... Guy Gardner being one.
This Gardner uses many of the same items as his M3 brother: RDNA Aztec Hair, Vadlor's Guy Vest, EZTop collar, etc. |
|
| Guess WHO blubeetle3 TV and Movies 2007/2/25 16:30 2772 5
The Doctor is in!
I usually don't put "works-in-progress" in the gallery (yeah...riiight! ).
Not bad for two and a half hours worth of work! |
|
| Gods' Gift to the World blubeetle3 DC Comics 2009/3/29 14:46 2851 3
Okay, I did a Wonder Woman pic. WANA MAKE SOMETHIN' OF IT!
Sometimes you need a little inspiration to give you a kick in the pants. So, I was watching the animated Wonder Woman dvd yesterday and decided to rework my Wonder Woman character.
Big ups go out to KBK for the Wonder Woman tiara and breast plate (also, for the Jennely textures).
P.S. Do any of you realize how hard it is to find a pictue of an ancient Greek city that's NOT in ruins? |
|
| FIREFLY Challenge: "The Brawn, The Brains, and... y'know...Mal" blubeetle3 Monthly and other challenges 2006/10/14 20:34 4047 5
Getting this one in under the wire!
Jayne Cobb: Mercenary, tracker, weapons expert, purveyor of whores! River Tam: Genius, living weapon, Reaver-killer! Mal Reynolds: Captain, soldier, bullet-catcher! |
|
| Fire: Too Hot! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:15 4176 2
You've seen Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and Ice. Now, it's Fire's turn! |
|
| Fire Week? YEAH, BABY! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/8/24 18:49 3357 7
What better way to spend Fire Week than to spend it with Bea in a bikini? |
|
| Fire and Ice blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/10/22 19:14 3324 8
Here's a nice big pic of Fire and Ice.
Just spending the weekend tweaking some of my characters in Poser. Changed the hair and eyes on Fire. Changed the body type and added buttons to Ice.
This is pretty much a straight render from Poser. No postwork.
EDIT: Okay, A LITTLE postwork. I worked Fire's hair a little to get rid of the "fivehead". |
|
| Fastball Special Redux blubeetle3 DC Comics 2009/3/22 17:43 2862 8
Checking through my gallery, I saw that the original had been deleted. Instead of just reposting it, I updated and redid it.
Hope you enjoy. |
|
| Evaluations Part 2 blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/4/7 10:07 2887 3
PG and BB continue to turn a critical eye toward the actors chosen to play them.
Now, Blinky knows this is just another example of "BB3BBOTD"! |
