My small contribution to the Influence Map craze.  Oh you kids and your new fangled fads.

 Re: Hisstoryman's Influence Map
Oops -- I totally missed this earlier. Great influence map! I love the focus on writers, and anyone who includes DNA and Sir Pterry among their influences is A Good And Honourable Person. Congratulations. Nice to see Ellison on here as well -- the best New Wave SF writer, imo. Some cool crime writers as well; Chandler would probably be on a writers influence map if I did one (even though my preferences in terms of crime fiction tend towards the Scandinavian, for whatever reason -- probably the pervading sense of darkness and hopelessness. )

Nice. Props for giving "Kingdom Come" it's due as well as all the rest.

Thanks pijon!
For some reason I have always referred to Harlan Ellison and Elmore Leonard by their first names. With Harlan I think it began when someone thought I was talking about the author Ralph Ellison. Elmore I have no freaking clue.

I would have loved to fit in Ray Bradbury, Phil Dick and Olivia but I went with my gut.

Glad you decided to join the Influence Map fad. Good one, bud! All great choices but the ones that make me hate myself for not picking them myself are those two writers with whom you seem to be on a first name basis... I'm talking about Mr's Ellison and Leonard of course! I love the Vargas and Chandler choices as well! No surprise we see eye to eye on Frazetta and Kirby... speaking of which, hey! you used the same Kirby pic as me! I know I thought it really showed the scope of all he had created at Marvel... good choice. All good choices! I haven't kept stats but I'm pretty sure Perez makes the top spot for most popular. All right, Hiss! Well done, man!
