Recently I was asked to contribute some artwork to a comic that is being put together by a guy named Dan Schkade of his characters. Several different artists are working on the book and I was assigned six pages. I'm going to post them here now that they are done. | I work on sundays at this local used books/music/comics/dvds/etc. store. Recently the owner decreed that we shall have to wear nametag things. The ones they provided for us were ridiculously shoddy little things so I doodled this one in about 5 minutes before work today/yesterday. I only had time to do the drawing there so I brought it home tonight, scanned it and colored it. I'm gonna print it out and use the colored version from now on. I like the way it turned out considering how little time I spent drawing it. |

| My girlfriend and I decided to try our hand at painting so we each bought a little acrylic kit and took a shot. This was my effort. Keep in mind that I haven't tried to paint in probably...10 or 12 YEARS and adjust comments accordingly. |

| This one is in honor of all the women who have fought, are fighting or will fight breast cancer. My grandmother and aunt have both gone through it. They are survivors, thank God. And my girlfriends brother-in-law lost his mom to it. I would have loved to do a powerful and emotional masterpiece but I'm not that good so I just fell back on what I do the most and made up a character for it. Her name, 'Der Heilung', is German for 'The Cure'. No significance to the German except that it looked cool and I didn't want to just call her 'The Cure'. I know that men do get breast cancer occasionally also but its much more of a threat to women so I made the character female. I hope noone is upset that I interjected some serious subject matter into Heromorph. I don't do it often. This is just something I wanted to do. |

| This is to illustrate how 'The Christian's hammer works. Its mystical properties allow it to pass harmlessly through living things but impact upon spiritual beings. In this shot, we see our hero literally knocking the demon out of this guy which is how he usually deals with criminals. We also see an indication of 'The Christian's invulnerability as the crook's bullet bounces off his chest. He does feel the pain of the impact it just won't pierce his skin or break bones. He's also able to see spiritual presences. I don't know if this is due to the goggles he wears or an additional power. |

Who would have thought that I would be lucky enough to land an opportunity to do some of the artist sketch cards for the 2008 Marvel Masterpiece trading card set? Miracle of miracles, thats exactly what happened! Thank you Jesus!
I did 100 of them and all but 8 were approved so I will post all the approved ones. I'm actually not allowed to post the unapproved ones.
I think some of them are pretty good, some are adequate and a few are quite a bit less so. I don't know if anyone here collects the Marvel Masterpiece cards but if anyone happens to see any of these out there would you let me know?

| If I were a comic book character this is probably who I'd be. He's a very powerful telepath(Professor Xavier level)who has also been diagnosed with clinical depression. He is able to force the symptoms of depression onto other people. In extreme situations he can even cause a person to kill his or herself. Needless to say he's a villain but I hesitate to call him evil. He's not out to hurt anyone and will actually stop others from doing so. He would only be classified as a villain because he's so sick of the world's insanity that he tends to try to take it upon himself to change people's minds. Usually against their will. Which is of course tampering with our God given right to be idiots. Earning him the title of wrong doer. I'm not real keen on the greenish color but my first impulse, to make him a blueish, had him looking too much like Cobra Commander. Which he still does anyway. |

| Saw the Ghost Rider movie this weekend and thought this was a funny idea. I realize its not real clever or original but hey, nobody's perfect. I liked the movie alot by the way. I screwed up on Spideys shading. Wasn't until I started coloring it that I realized the shadows would be on the opposite side as GR since he's the obvious light source. |
