| World Tour in Comics: Holland OCP 2007/7/15 8:06 2857 4
From Holland, here it is Gutsman, the masked defender of male inadequacy (words from his creator in his website), created by Erik Kriek. First time I try to make a suit all in black and white colors, so any tips on how to improve will be very welcome. Wanted to add his sidekick/lover Tigra as well, but didn't look good for this background from the country. Maybe in the future will do it with a diferent background... |

| World Tour in Comics: Brazil OCP 2007/7/13 20:23 3678 6

I couldn't done this one without the help from BraZZZil, who give me the base image and some ideias how to do it, so a Big Thank You, my friend. Hope you like it. |

First I want to thank Cyanure for is sugestion. And now here it is: Mikros, created by Malcolm Naughton (pseudonym of Marcel Navarro) and John Milton (pseudonym of Jean-Yves Mitton). From what I could find about it, he was a normal guy given insectoid powers by an alien race. |

| Starting the Tour: From Portugal, here's Zakarella OCP 2007/6/30 15:52 6473 4
I had this ideia of making a world tour doing a manip from each hero/heroine from several countries. So I start with one from my own country. And man, this was not an easy task, from finding one characther create here to find the rigth model, but I think I did it. Presenting, here's Zakarella, create by Roussado Pinto and Calberto in the beginning of the 70's. I don't think she ever star in a comic story, but she had her own comic book for several issues. She was inspired from Vampirella but she was a fugitive from Hell who in each story punish some evil soul. Funny thing, at that time Vampirella came from planet Drakulon, only in recent years was revealed she was from Hell as well. One last thing, if anyone want to sugest any hero from your country feel free to do it here: http://ocportugal.blogspot.com/ or here: http://heromorph.com/heromorph2/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1881&forum=1&post_id=21882#forumpost21882 I appreciate and thank you for the help. *update* Add the Earth, it's supposed to be a scene from Hell, before she escapes. |

| Nelvana of the Northern Lights CDA 2007/6/17 7:55 6907 9
The superheroine Nelvana of the Northern Lights became Canada?s first national superhero, predating Wonder Woman by several months.
She drew her powers from the Northern Lights. She could fly, travel at the speed of light along a giant ray of the aurora borealis, and call upon other powers of the Northern Lights making her capable of melting metal and disrupting radio communications. Nelvana also had the ability to turn invisible as well as alter her physical form.
In 1995 Canada Post issued a popular set of commemorative superhero stamps featuring the reproduction of the first issue of Nelvana.
This is my interpretation of the character.

| Lady Death by JrMcDeath, MatrixBlur, and Winterhawk (clean version) Winterhawk 2006/10/30 19:33 6449 11
For Lady Death Week! This image started around 2 years or so ago. Jr was rather new to the site and had just finished a picture and was trying to think of something new to do and asked for a request (this was before we knew he was lazy). I asked him for Lady death. A couple weeks went by and Jr showed me the base image and he had done some plans for the image, sketching it out. When he wanted to know who should be giving it to Lady Death. Evil ernie's name came up. A couple more weeks went by and Jr showed me the progress. During this time Jr had gotten fellow trouble maker and 3d guru Matrix Blur to render a skeleton and place it over the body of the male in the base image. Another couple weeks went by and Jr. said he was bored with the image and wasn't going to do anymore. So I asked him to send it over my way. At this point the image had Jr's sketches the skeleton frame work for ernie as well as ernies arms, hands and jacket arms done as well as a number of paths and channels to use for selection. Jr sent the file over to me were I started working on it. I painted the hair and then saved the file. And I haven't worked on it again until this week. I noticed that it was Lady Death week so I thought "Hey I have that 1/5 finished lady death image that Jr and Matrix started, I should finish that one." And so I did. And here it is. It isn't quite as fancy as Jr's original plan but I don't paint no stinkin zippers and it actually got finished After finishing the adult version a couple days a go, I decided to do a non-adult version of the image to post in the regular gallery for everyone to enjoy. |

| Thundercats Bike No.1 DarqueImages 2006/7/12 20:47 4124 10
This is my first and last bike I will be doing while working for a former "friend". 3/4 of this bike was done by myself including: body work, design, base paint and all the prep work. Though I may have not finished the lightning effect and side ferring myself... 90% of it was me. On the bike: Lion-o, The Sword of Omens, Cheetara, Panthro, Tigra, and Mumm-Ra..... Snarf, Wily Kitt and Wily Katt are not on the bike because I considered them LAME. |

Didn't see much Witchblade floating around here so I decided to put this together. The armor wasn't as hard to make as I expected so this one went pretty smoothly.
I know the background looks a bit blad since she's a cop I just put her out on the beat.
Enjoy!

| Winged Victory - Or why I will never validate your current inability to photoshop stuff. QuantumFX 2006/3/21 19:46 4270 7
OK, just another reminder at how much I used to suck at doing this. A scant 5 years ago I created this piece. I like posting these things for you new guys to encourage you to push yourselves further. Honestly, I don't think I know much more about Photoshop now as I did then. The difference is that I stopped thinking of photoshop as a tool for putting together images and treated it like a canvas and applying all the drawing and painting experience I had to it. |
