My first image of 2013! It's partly a retrospective of all the character profiles that I've done up to this point, and partly a way to ring in the new year with a somewhat large boast that my future offerings are going to surpass anything done so far. Here's hoping that I can indeed live up to my claim!  It's also my very own long awaited re-introduction of a character that I haven't used since 2007, Mindwave. She's not the first character that I ever created, but she's one of the first that I ever started using online for different sites, contests and etc. so she has a special place in the CSCU, and I thought it was appropriate to use her in my little play on words here to usher in the new year instead of going with my "New Year's Eve" character or someone else like my version of "Father Time" like I've done in the past. |

| Will be adding colour as time permits, but if anyone else wants to have a go at it, be my guest. Couldn't decide what the tall girl's costume should look like, so I left it very basic, figuring I'd try a couple different ideas when I colour it. |

| Here is another new Christian design without the armor of the last one. I figure the armor can be just a spiritual change when he has to deal with more powerful demonic foes. I also went back to the stone hammer but kept some of the shiny black aspect that I liked. I know the torso looks like its off kilter with the legs. I don't know what happened there except that I just drew it poorly. I kind of like this look but I'd like some other opinions. I still can't seem to get away from the Snake-eyes resemblance. The really sad thing? The whole time I was drawing this I truly thought I was making the head extra small to make him look taller and bigger and when its done what do I see? The head looks big and he looks sort of short. DANGIT! |

| "A Heroes Call" - The Killer Bee

This is "Killer Bee". I thought it would be funny to make a super hero out of Texas' most hated bee. Plus, his side kick is "Fire Ant", Texas' most hated Ant. I created him in 1989.
Killer Bee is about the size of a Hobbit. He does not EVER use his stinger because that would kill him. Other than that, he is a freakin' bad ass! Fire Ant is the C-3PO to R2-D2.
I have a huge write up on him, but it is 11:55 and I do not have time to write it all up.
I was going to use an old image of "Killer Bee" that I did in college. BUT, I decided to go old school and grab the markers and do a new image. I had to take a picture of it because I made it on Marker paper that was 14x17. A little too big for my scanner.
Enjoy. Now, I have to find a frame for this. I like it a lot!  |

Full Name: Matthew Stern. Occupation: Graduate student working for NASA. Age: 21. Height: 5’11”. Weight: 200 lbs. Eyes: Brown. Hair: Blond. Base of Operations: Coast Center City, CA. Weapons/Accessories/Powers/Abilities: An accident involving experimental anti-gravity electrons has given him the power of flight, and his costume’s cape acts like a glider to assist with this ability. His mask lets him see as an owl does in low light conditions and at great distances with incredible accuracy. Lastly, he carries a series of disc-like weapons with three bladed extensions that he has dubbed his “O-Rings.”
History: Matthew Stern is a young genius. He graduated college in his teens and was already working as a graduate student for NASA at only 21. His first task at the space administration was to provide some assistance with an experiment on anti-gravity electrons. He was working on the project late one night, and all was going well until a stray owl somehow got into the lab and frightened him causing the young man to go stumbling into the machine containing the electrons and get irradiated with them. He was discovered by the night security unconscious, but alive and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Upon awaking the next morning, the doctors ran some tests on him and everything seemed normal so they let him go. However, that night he was looking out the window of his apartment at the night sky and was reflecting on the events that had transpired. He was happy to be alive and glad that NASA called to say everything was fine at the lab so that he could continue his work with no troubles. Yet, as he looked at the stars he heard the familiar hooting of an owl nearby. He turned his attention to a tree outside his window and to his surprise saw what appeared to be the same owl that startled him the night before in the lab. He reached out to try and make contact with the animal to see why it was so attracted to him, but as he did so he slipped out the window and would have fallen with a crash to the ground, but in mid fall he began to just float in the air. The anti-gravity electrons had given him the power to fly, and it was at that moment that he decided to use his scientific know-how to become a super-hero named after his inspiration … The Owl! |
