I saw V for Vendetta, and was inspired to create this. This is my first non photomanip upload, as well. I drew it by hand, and then after 10 hours of work in PS7 the colors were done. |

The final version of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows commission. I wish I'd done the fade out of the greyscaled characters differently, but the client loved it and that's the main thing!
Pencils, inks, Prismacolour markers and a little watercolour pencil. |

A Transformers site that I belong to had a posting by another user to come up with new and different TF faction symbols, so I created some that blended TF's and Star Wars just like the toys that Hasbro produced. |

Defenders of Dynatron City? It was an EXTREMELY shortlived comic book and cartoon. Actually, now that I think about it, I believe it was based on a video game but I'm not sure. I liked the characters in it alot and I had been meaning to do a pic of them for a long time. I'll admit right away that I used the cover of the first comic as an inspiration for the scene. Some things about it I'm quite happy with like the robot pile they are standing on and the doggy. And some parts of it make me shudder. Like the lady in the back with the electricity 'ears' and the monkey guy and....well there are just too many to list. But it isn't like there is any chance of me ever being pleased with my own work anyway. :) |

Yeah, I know, you never see pencils from me (it's pretty rare for me to pick one up these days)... I barely remember this show as I only seemed to catch it on late night cable after long nights out drinking with my buddies! It always seemed very "West Coast" to me as though I could hear some LA pitchman trying to push it on Network execs..."See there's this guy, Johnny Domino, sax player by night and crime fighter by, uh, later at night and he's got one bulgey eye and uh, one even bulgier eye and drives a purple Chrystler Prowler" ...oooh-kay (yes, that moon is made of cheese!)* *(found out after I wrote this that Nightman started as a Malibu Comic...oops!)

'DEAD OR ALIVE, YOU'RE COMING WITH ME.' I recently found a couple old videos of a Robocop cartoon that I didn't know existed and felt the urge to try my hand at a pic of him.
Updated new version complete with fancy shading on the color parts. |

Apparently there were several episodes of the Tick animated series that were never made. One of which, entitled "The Tick vs Skull Canada" sounded really funny. Here is a synopsis:
?The Tick vs. Skull Canada introduces a new villain, The Bald Skull, who is the leader of a small nation called Skull Canada which is on the border of Canada and Michigan. At the beginning of the episode, the Bald Skull (who has no skin on his face, so he looks like a skull but he wears a toupee) steals the President's face. Tick and Arthur join up with American Maid to try to go to Skull Canada to get it back. Once there, they of course get separated. Tick gets involved with a group of revolutionaries who are led by The Moose (actually 2 men in a moose costume; 1 in front and 1 in back) but the back end of The Moose ws captured by the Bald Skull and is imprisoned in the Skull Canadian palace prison. Tick becomes the rear end of the Moose and rallies the revolutionaries to fight (insert rear end of moose jokes here) Arthur, meanwhile, gets captured and put in prison with the real moose's rear end. American Maid manages to infiltrate the palace, but once there she has to face...Skull Canadian Maid, her evil twin sister.
I even have a line from this one; "Hey, Bald Skull--you can't cover up all that bald ugly with a toupe?...you need a whole FACE-PE?!" (The Tick, of course)?
Anyway, a fellow artist on Deviantart suggested I do this pic. So here it is. American Maid vs her evil twin sister Skull Canadian Maid. |

I wanted to update the whole red shirt thing for Star Trek. This one came out better because the newer uniforms are black jumpsuits. Somehow... she doesn't seem as disposable as in the original series. I guess the new red shirt is the yellow shirt. |

| Lara Croft commission ODS 2008/2/23 15:11 2267 6
The figure was sketched in pencil then scanned, "inked" and coloured in Photoshop. Background was painted in Photoshop.
The idea with this one was to show Lara in a moment just prior to a discovery, kind of hesitating, thinking about her next move. Seems like every picture of Lara has her jumping or shooting, so I wanted to show the explorer side of the character. I'm not terribly happy with the eyes, but otherwise I think it turned out fairly well. |
