Chanel has just released their new  fragrance "Spellbound"* and has hired Maleficent as their spokesmodel. Coco was unavailable after inexplicably lapsing into a coma. (A little something different.)

*Not to be confused with Estee Lauder.

A requested pin-up of Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent and Snow White's Grimhilde modeling Victorian-era undergarments. Not what you'd expect a couple of bad girls to be wearing, huh?

Society of Virtue is a brazilian webcomic that makes fun of the superhero genre. You should check out their Youtube Channel.

One of their characters is Majestosa (Majestic), a woman with a super-strength who dresses in a tiny piece of latex that is the cause of several villains appearing, only to be punched by her.
She is the second strongest member of the Society of Virtue.
She is a parody of  Wonder Woman, Radical Feminism and Sexualization of Women.

This is my version of her, you can also see in the comment section the making of.

Robbie the Robot's younger brother in emulation of that famous film poster.

Seeing Vincent's Robbie The Robot posting in the members' gallery prompted me to rake this out. It's not in the same league, but it is in the public gallery!

(Apologies, LIS fans: the attempt at an older Penny Robinson went quite badly!)

Coloured version of a previous posting.

I've been trying on and off for years to find a way to electronically apply some sort of colour wash to my drawings. Something that would add colour without destroying the original shading. Too early to tell what the limitations are here, but maybe, just maybe...

For anyone interested this was done as follows.
Scanned drawing contrast adjusted for best definition.
New raster layer added on top with blend mode = multiply.
Colours painted on this layer with soft-edged brush.
Once fully painted, layer duplicated twice.
Lowest layer (directly above drawing) blend mode set to colour.
Next layer up blend mode set to burn.
Top layer blend mode set to multiply.
Transparency of various layers tweaked to give best effect.
(Tests were done along the way when selecting colours to paint with to avoid undesirable results.)

Any other techniques, anyone?

Ink on cartridge paper.

One from the archives. Back in the last century, before the Internet and even before desk-top publishing, fans had to share their interests on paper. This was how fanzine editors liked their illustrations done back then - compatible with the cheapest possible printing processes!

My attempt at arguably the cutest Dragon Ball gal of all, Launch, observing her 'training outfit' in a full length mirror but instead seeing her aggresive other side that's only a sneeze away. My friend suggested I add Master Roshi perving out somewhere in it since Launch is his favorite DB babe.

I found the base image in the Heromorph Cookie Jar (cheers to Comicfan for the clean up). Original Artwork by Bruce Timm.

The background was by Tony Hayes (bogwoppet) although I have distressed it somewhat to fit this image.

The figure was sketched in pencil then scanned, "inked" and coloured in Photoshop. Background was painted in Photoshop.

The idea with this one was to show Lara in a moment just prior to a discovery, kind of hesitating, thinking about her next move. Seems like every picture of Lara has her jumping or shooting, so I wanted to show the explorer side of the character. I'm not terribly happy with the eyes, but otherwise I think it turned out fairly well.

This is my version of Lady Jaye.  All and all, she stayed the same.  Instead of a harpoon spear gun, I just gave her a regular gun.  Changed the gloves to open fingers, gave her name tags and changed the pants to camoflage.  Also, I gave her combat boots.

I've been wanting to do B&B for a while, so I thought their reaction to the lovely Ladys'"big
thingies" would be a natural. I Pen-tooled around
a model to get LHs' amazing curves, but it's no manip. Everything else is freehand, mostly with Pen, in Photoshop 7.0.
