| Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern outlaw2LK DC Comics 2009/8/14 10:29 3625 8
I'm surprised that I haven't seen many Green Lantern manips out there since the news of Reynolds taking the mantle; so I thought I'd whip one up real quick.
I think that JoshMC has one out there, but I haven't seen him post it on HM.
So here is my take on a movie version costume. I know that with most costume adaptations, (with the exception of Batman) they try to show more of the actor's face. So I slimmed down the mask for a more Robin-esque look. |

| Eht Eno - project outlaw2LK Original Characters 2009/2/27 12:20 2183 2
A friend of mine asked me to draw his comic book alter ego and here's the end result. He's big into the military scene so I figure it was only natural to put him in this image this way.
Completed in just under 4 hours (on and off) using my old school mouse techniques since I didn't have my tablet at the job site I'm stationed out of at the moment.

Tried my hand in actually going towards the painted approach on this one. I even took the time to do the background for once, though not great, I finally did one from scratch. |

| Taking a breather... outlaw2LK Marvel Comics 2008/3/3 18:12 2180 5
OK, I spent almost 8 hours on this trying to get used to my new WACOM tablet! This was completely sketched, outlined, and colored just using the tablet. I know that it may suck compared to some of the tablet vets' work, but this was my 3rd attempt. I hope to get some pointers so I can keep practicing. The 1st attempt was practicing signing my name and the second was just crap. HA
I know, I know, I've been away for a very very long time. I've just been lurking. Gotta get back into the contests here at HM. |

Finally colored it. Not too thrilled about it, but I just wanted to try getting it done. Sort of a rush job since I did it in my last 30mins at work.
Sorry it's been so long since I last posted. I miss HM!

| Draw Off #10 - Predator/Wolverine Vs. Aliens outlaw2LK Other Comics 2006/5/7 9:40 3682 21
OK here goes my entry for HM's 10th Draw off. I've been working on this for the past 2 days and hope that ya'll like it.
Hope someone picks it up for the second and third phase if possible. I'd like to see it in color. |

| Draw Off #10 - Predator/Wolverine Vs. Aliens PART 2 outlaw2LK Other Comics 2006/4/25 21:38 2594 8
This was originally going to be my entry for this draw off, but found that I didn't make a clear enough distinction of the Predator in the background after a chest-buster came out of him which later grew into the Pred-Alien that Wolvie is hacking. I left it un-done until PA1911 asked if I would do a continuation to my first entry.
So I added battle wounds then finished this one up and went with a more gritty style. (not really, I was trying to do this at work and keep this from my boss the best I could, so I had to sorta rush it.)
Hope ya'll like. Oh yeh, good thing for office supplies and the endless flow of legal sized paper!

| Supergirl On Top outlaw2LK DC Comics 2006/4/8 17:10 6260 15
Still keeping up the practice. I've gone with a more classic look (no texturizing) and still keeping up w/ some of the new costume's look.
This one was inspired by another pic of Superman standing atop the Daily Planet Globe. Again the model is Marisa Miller from SI.
I think I'm making some progress here. |

| Supergirl... yet again. outlaw2LK DC Comics 2006/4/5 20:24 5055 10
OK, I'm taking each log in to Heromorph to heart. With each visit I learn something new and try out each style and tip that I've read about. I'm going to try to stay away from trying to manip any other character other than Supergirl. I figure if I can perfect this then I will move on to another.
The difference with this piece is that I had actually taken the time to create it. I'm usually rushing these things and keeping them to 2 hours or less. This particular one took me 2 hours a day for the past 3 days. EEEK!
Please let me know what you think. Good and bad, any critique is helpful. |

| HM Draw/Off #3, Ultimate Captain Marvel (DC) Entry 2HM Draw/Off #3, Ultimate Captain Marvel (D outlaw2LK DC Comics 2006/4/2 5:55 3093 7
OK, OK, I'm still trying to push my design but also trying to do better on my drawing. I know that the whole "Fat Jaw" and "location of the eyes" was getting to me too.
Here's Entry #3. I'm not sure if its really 3 entries being that they all follow the same Designed costume.
With this one I fixed up his face and shortened his hair. |

| Draw Off #9 - Kim Possible = X-Possible outlaw2LK Other Comics 2006/3/28 20:47 2690 4
Disney Channel's Kim Possible
Ron as Cyclops and Kim as Jean Grey.
This is my take on the Cartoon turned into comic character. I took the design of the Movie version costumes to create Ron and Kim's outfits. By the time I finished the characters, I got way too lazy and just quickly added the Xpossible logo. I know that's so lame!
Hope ya'll like. |

| Nightwing outlaw2LK DC Comics 2006/3/28 20:37 2631 2
I just remembered what the last Draw Off challenge was and found this pic I did of the older Nightwing. I think the challenge ran around something of seeing any hero or villain that's not already been given a storyline in the future. Now, I'm not sure whether this contest transferred over to GM, Bold, or C2F; but I was hoping to repost it since I don't see it in my listing for submitted work.
-backstory- A few years after Kingdom Come, Bruce had given up the mantle of the Bat and Dick Grayson temporarily taking up the role of Batman; Tim Drake wasn't getting any younger himself. He took on the role of Nightwing for a little while until Bruce found another suitable replacement for Batman. After all, even in his old age, Dick still didn't want to be in the shadow of the bat for too long and Tim was ready to retire himself. Soon after Terry McGuiness found his spot in the Batman legacy, Tim stuck around to make sure that Gotham was in good hands with the new Batman Beyond.
-- Anyhoot, enjoy.
I stuck to the Alex Ross method when creating this. Boy this is hard to do w/ a mechanical pencil!

| Firey Phoenix outlaw2LK TV and Movies 2006/3/16 20:49 4476 15
Just my take on Jean Grey as the Phoenix for X-Men 3.
Experimented with the fire effects. Anyone know of any good tutorials for that?
Tell me what ya think!
Base Image from the X-Men 3 Take A Stand promos. Phoenix in back originally sillouhette of a phoenix that I just pushed and smudged around and added some of my own touches. |

| Supergirl's Back outlaw2LK DC Comics 2006/3/6 19:04 4546 8
First, I'd like to say that I was going through an HM withdrawl!!! I found myself clicking and surfing aimlessly without any artistic inspiration. Once I heard HM was back I came up w/ the following:
It's been a while since I've submitted any manips. I've been concentrating on Supergirl (if you haven't noticed) and taking in a lot of the advice that you all have to offer. With time and practice I hope to one day be the one giving out advice. I forgot the model's name. |

| Supergirl in "Photogami" outlaw2LK DC Comics 2006/1/1 23:20 5351 4
I did this piece for a contest using only one shape manipulated in photoshop many many times over and over again. The rules of the contest was to only use the one shape to create a work of art. You can change the color, size, and even warp the shape as long as it was evident that it was used (see the insert). I got second place.
(Should I be submitting all my art in at once? Or should I wait like a day or so to submit new ones?) |

| Heroic Trio outlaw2LK DC Comics 2005/12/31 13:43 6535 14
I know I got a little lazy and didn't change the background... but my main focus and inspiration was from the three girls on the "North Shore" poster. I just had fun making them into my 3 favorite DC babes.
Supergirl and Wonder Woman costumes done from scratch. The BatGirl costume was from Birds of Prey and the mask from Batman & Robin.
This is the second attempt at it. The first one I posted on C2F, but decided to change up the metalic look on Wonder Woman.
