| DC's Girls of Summer: ICE blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/6/10 6:52 3698 10
Ah, summer is just around the corner, and that can only mean one thing... GIRLS IN SWIMSUITS!
This is the first pic in a series I'm planning to do to celebrate summer. Later pics will see: Fire, Power Girl, Mary Marvel, Black Canary, Starfire, Donna Troy, Wonder Woman, and many, many more! (In other words, old favorites AND models I have, but, haven't really used.)
First up is Ice wearing an Adam Hughes inspired one-piece. She makes sure to wear sunblock and a nice straw hat to prevent burning her fair skin.
Updated to correct the hat. |

| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: In the Bug blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/5/27 17:30 3705 5
In the past, I've been lambasted for lack of backgrounds in my renders. So, I decided to put Blue Beetle (YES! Steve Ditko's GREATEST creation!) in the Bug, the best superhero vehicle in comics. Plus, this is my entry into the SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN! |
|
| JLIClassified: POWER GIRL blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/19 15:21 3719 5
Sixth pic in the series.
Is tomorrow here already? I guess not. But, this is it. For now. More later if people demand it. |
|
| DC's Girls of Summer: MARY MARVEL blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/6/11 19:39 3724 10
Mmmmm...mmmmm...Mary Mmmm...mmmmm...Marvel! She sure does look mature for her age. Billy Batson's baby sister sure has come a long way.
Third pic in the series and already I'm running into problems! Both Fire and Ice have distinctive hair color, and it makes them recognizable. Mary, however, has brown hair and, outta "uniform", isn't quite as distinctive. It's only gonna get worse when I get to the masked heroines. |
|
| THE BIG SWITCHEROO!: "Making the GOLD STANDARD" blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/8/8 5:15 3730 6
Booster Gold's a hound. There's no way around that. Booster can't help himself. He's gotto check out every woman that's around.
...Even if it's his newly "feminized" best bud!
EDIT: Added a title to this series to seperate them from my other seies. |
|
| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: "Big Trouble A-brewing!" blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/10/14 16:41 3771 6
In the midst of her...ahem... nocturnal activities (see Members Gallery), Lady Heromorph receives some distressing news.
Can't anyone follow a script around here?!!! |
|
| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: Crisis of Conscience! blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/7/9 11:55 3772 7
Blue Beetle has an internal debate about whether to accept Wonder Woman and Vampirella's offer or not. His guardian angel and guardian devil argue the merits of their case. |
|
| DC's Girls of Summer: STARFIRE blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/6/15 19:44 3803 8
Oh, Princess Koriand'r! The lovely alien who KISSES you to gain knowledge. What a way to learn! ...And, hey, she loves DICK!
I went more with a George Perez version of Starfire. Rounder face, rounded nose, big eyes. |
|
| Mary Marvel: Sweet Sixteen blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/6/29 18:26 3871 9
She looks all grown-up, but, she's still a teenager. And there's an old saying where I come from: "Sixteen will get you twenty!" |
|
| Booster Gold: BOOSTER-RIFIC!!! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:12 3890 9
How can you have Beetle without Booster? You don't have to. Here he is in all his shiny glory! |
|
| The Blue Beetle: Ready for Action! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:43 3902 13
Yes, I'm back with a vengeance. This is the very first character I created with Poser 5 (hmm...I wonder why?). The Blue Beetle- adventurer, super-genius, beloved by women everywhere (o.k. I'm pushing it with that last one)! Steve Ditko's greatest creation! Yeah, that's right, Spidey! DITKO'S GREATEST CREATION! |
|
| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: "Postale Noir" blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/10/7 11:57 3904 3
Power Girl has some concerns about the "Lady Heromorph Clause", but, LH sets her straight.
Winterhawk brought up an interesting point: Why should Power Girl agree to do something she doesn't necessarily agree with?
...And here's an answer. |
|
| "Beam US Up, Teddy!" blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/1/6 18:09 3911 8
After winning a bet with She-Hulk, Blue Beetle has a very TREKKIE dream! He dreams of: FY-UHR, green-haired alien warrior-princess; LT. TORA OLAFSDOTTER, Enterprise's resident optimist; SHULKIE, Orion slave girl; and POWER-OF-NINE, the ex-Borg. |
|
| In Memorium blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:18 3940 12
I'm guessing the language in my last attempt to post this was too profane.
Suffice it to say that I'm extremely upset with DC Comics. Preview issues of DC's "Countdown" book have come out and Blue Beetle is the latest victim in DC's ever-darkening universe. I lament the fact that there is no room for humor there anymore. |
|
| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: "An Offer You Can't Refuse!" blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/7/23 16:25 3953 7
Wonder Woman, upset by the defection of Vampirella to Team Two, has redoubled her efforts (because... y'know... her and Vampi were working as a team. With Vampi gone, WW has to do ALL the work!) to entice Blue Beetle. No corner will be cut. No expense will be too high. Wonder Woman will get her man! |
|
| "Sigh...Life's So Unfair!" blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/5/28 13:35 4009 13
Ice finds herself in a position most men dream of... between Fire and Power Girl. Now, what is Ice thinking: A.) "If I were Phantom Lady, this would be a BOOBFEST!" B.) "Sure...in comparison, they look small. But, I'm a solid B-cup." C.) "I'm right in the middle of the picture! Why isn't anyone looking at me?"
Poor Ice! |
|
| SMACKDOWN ROUND 4: "The Beginning of the End" blubeetle3 Smackdown 2008/11/5 15:30 4015 7
"Horny Valley" + Lady Heromorph ecstacy & porn bender + the pink mist of carnal lust + Spider-Man's drunken brilliance (check it out HERE) = BIG TROUBLE for Blue Beetle & Ice!
Everything is against these poor kids! Well, they gave it a good try.
Next stop...the HM Adult Gallery! |
|
| Love in the Afterlife? blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 23:25 4041 8
I rendered this pic and immediately thought, "Jeez! This looks like the cover to some cheesey romance novel!" So, I says to myself, "Self, why not do it?" Plus, I haven't post anything in awhile.
Sooooo...
"Blue Beetle and Ice. Former teammates. Both had their lives taken from them too early. Can they find a second chance with each other after death? Can they find... LOVE IN THE AFTERLIFE?" |
|
| FIREFLY Challenge: "The Brawn, The Brains, and... y'know...Mal" blubeetle3 Monthly and other challenges 2006/10/14 20:34 4047 5
Getting this one in under the wire!
Jayne Cobb: Mercenary, tracker, weapons expert, purveyor of whores! River Tam: Genius, living weapon, Reaver-killer! Mal Reynolds: Captain, soldier, bullet-catcher! |
|
| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: "Meanwhile At the JSA Brownstone..." blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/7/31 20:05 4073 9
Trouble continues to brew!
JrMcDeath wanted more Power Girl! And before anyone jumps me on this, read "I Can't Believe It's Not The Justice League". PG is very friendly toward Blue Beetle. EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY! The kind of friendly that raised some questions. |
|
| BETTER DAYS: "Blue Beetle: PLAYA!" blubeetle3 DC Comics 2006/11/25 10:42 4139 12
Ah, the ol' JLI! Blue Beetle hangs out with two lovely ladies of the JLI: Fire and Ice.
"Don't playa hate! Participate!"
Or "Eat your heart out, Booster!" |
|
| Superhero Smackdown: Seduction of the (Semi-)Innocent blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/7/7 17:37 4171 8
Every superhero has a weakness. Superman and kryptonite. Martian Manhunter and fire. Batman and humility.
Blue Beetle's weakness? His tragic flaw? BEAUTIFUL WOMEN!
With this in mind, two members of Team One try to... ahem... persuade Blue Beetle into forming an alliance. Will Blue Beetle stay true to Team Two? Will he sell out? Will he become a midnight snack for Vampirella? Will Wonder Woman call him "Teddy Bear"? |
|
| Fire: Too Hot! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:15 4176 2
You've seen Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, and Ice. Now, it's Fire's turn! |
|
| SUPERHERO SMACKDOWN: "Indecent Proposal" blubeetle3 Smackdown 2006/10/1 8:53 4183 5
Lady Heromorph activates the "Lady Heromorph Clause" in Power Girl's contract. What is the "Lady Heromorph Clause"? How will this effect the game? What will PeeGee do?
(Artist's Note: I actually had to write up a contract for the one that appears in "The Three 'B's to Succeed!" because I couldn't find one online that would work. This little "clause" was a throw away gag... but, what the hell! |
|
| A League of Their Own blubeetle3 DC Comics 2008/6/11 19:41 4190 13
C'mon, we've all indulged in the idle speculation: "If you build your own Justice League, who would be in it?"
Blue Beetle, a man of taste with an eye toward beauty, answers that question! And what an answer it is! |
|
| DC's Girls of Summer: ZATANNA blubeetle3 DC Comics 2007/6/17 17:34 4256 13
"Every little move she makes is magic. Every little thing just turns me on."
Zatanna enjoys the sunset on a beach. Although, hopefully, she put on her stockings after the sun started to set. Otherwise, she's gonna have some unique tan lines. |
|
| The Last Rose of Winter blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/3/20 10:29 4280 8
To celebrate the first day of Spring, Ice (from the JLI) says good-bye to Winter. |
|
| Silver Sorceress: Re-Imagined! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/9/3 15:38 4293 6
"Who in the flipping HECK is the Silver Soceress?"
The Silver Sorceress was a character created in the pages of the old JLI comic books. She was one of a trio of superheroes who came from an alternate (Marvel-based) Earth that was destroyed during a nuclear war. Silver Sorceress (Scarlet Witch), Blue Jay (Ant-Man), and Wandjina the Thunderer (Thor) were determined not to let that happen on DC's Earth and set about ridding the world of ALL nuclear weapons.
The one thing that always bugged me about the Silver Sorceress was that her costume WASN'T silver! It was a bronze color. (Someone should have notified the colorist.) So, here is the RE-IMAGINED Silver Sorceress. And when I think "skin-tight, silver bodysuit" (and, really, who doesn't think about it), I think of ol' "7 o' 9". |
|
| A Blast From the Past: ICEMAIDEN! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2009/4/21 18:59 4434 2
Hard to believe sweet, innocent little Ice used to wear a cotume that was so... REVEALING back in her Global Guardian days, isn't it? Even she's shocked.
I mean... C'MON! High thigh cut, a neckline down to her navel. Heck, she's showing more cleavage than POWERGIRL! (Although not quite as spectacular as Peegee's )
A classic example of developing a costume before developing a character. |
|
| Justice League International: REBOOTED! blubeetle3 DC Comics 2005/7/11 15:55 4632 10
What if the nations of the world found out about the JLA's dirty little "mindwipe" secret? What if the nations of the world pushed the United Nations into severing ties with the JLA and forming a new superhero group to be govern by the U.N.? What if there were a new JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL formed?
"They're BA-AAACK!" |
