| Emma Frost #1 Daruma 2005/10/26 20:11 6542 18
Okay so for a while, I've been wanting to do a close-as-possible reproduction of an actual comic cover. After finally deciding on a specific cover, and finding a model(Jana Cova, BB) that was as close to perfect as I could probably hope for, I was in business. I quick masked and painted on the costume(my first time trying seams and zippers-Jr, I hate you ), franked in the bench and rose, and got the wall, arch, grass, and walkway from a couple of paintings, then finally I found a tiny strand of ivy that I duplicated 37(!) times to cover the wall. I had to give Greg Horn credit on the cover, cause it is his concept, after all. Maybe now I can get some sleep, at least until I start on my tournament pic. Post away peoples, but rememeber, any emoticons and I'll be forced to.....uh.....drink this beer!(crap, this is empty. Better go get another hostage...) |

| The other avengers for the 21st Century... QuantumFX 2004/9/29 15:59 6631 11
This piece was inspired by a Wizard Magazine casting call. (With a few additions.) Working from the foreground we have Lucy Liu as the Wasp, Tom Jane as Captian America, Viggo Mortensen as Thor, George Clooney as Iron Man, Asia Argento as the Black Widow, Vin Diesel as Hawkeye, and Matthew McConaughey as Giant Man. "How'd you do that's" will be answered as they come because each character is it's own thread. |

This obscure villain made her debut in Marvel Team-Up #131 (July, 1983)in which Spidey teams up with Frog Man. She has only shown up two more times since her first appearance.

| Supergirl Black Uniform Wolverine1607 2007/7/25 19:07 6717 13
I have been liking the posting of all the Supergirl images lately. Especially since I like superman and supergirl and they are two of my favorites. So I thought I would add to the mix of things. I have gotten busy lately with some outside work. But I have had this picture sitting there for like 3 months or so now, just needed a background for it. Its kind of a mix of uniforms from the comics and the movies. But kind of my own design I guess. The model is Sandy, the background was a misc. search I found, and I like the way it flowed into the picture. Besides the Model and the background the rest is mine. Should get a tablet soon, may help with the doing of things instead of by hand. Well still have some other things to attend to but please take a look, let me know what you think, love commetns. Thanks guys!! |

I know this wasn't one of characters in the challenge, but I wanted to do this one because nobody has tried it.
The most difficult thing was the search for the pic, it took me a complete day in the web to find the right pic, I'll appreciate if you can give me more sites with good quality for the next one. |

| Spiderwoman -hot in the city (by DM711) Divine_Monkey711 2005/3/15 6:14 6772 9
I first made this manip for my team-up with Biohaz_Daddy, but here she is solo. Apart from her being a little bigger in this version, I've added some more detail, done some fixes and touch-ups. And a whole new NYC background (and a little 'peeping tom' ). Getting the light right, and making it all (girl/roof top/skyline/spiderman) to look like one pic was hard, and didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped. Oh, and I know what you people think about 'doubble posting' (and I agree), but I think this one is somewhat warranted. And a big thanx to Biohaz-Daddy (wouldn't have made this if it wasn't for his/our crossover pic) and to Cyanure, who offered to make a roof-top in poser if I couldn't find a good one. |

| "Ecstacy" - Angelina Jolie as Stacy X Angelophile 2004/1/14 5:02 6781 2
Continuing my posting of my older manips while I play catch up with my New Mutants pic.
Stacy isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I was just beginning to really like the character when she was binned from Uncanny X-men. So this is my tribute to a character with a lot of potential. Got to love the self proclaimed 'first X-man to make a living on her back'.
The snake skin effects were produced with photos of various snakes from the web, combined with other reptile pics, and then imported with use of the opacity and hue and saturation control panels in Photoshop 7.
The background image came from a performance troupe called the Fluffgirl Society. Don't ask me what they perform, I didn't dare guess from the pic.

| The Wonderful Thing About Tigras Angelophile 2007/3/19 16:08 6788 15
Wow, hard to believe my last submitted photomanip was in 2005. Life just snowballs sometimes and I have a load of unfinished manips which'll probably never see the light of day. To get me back into things I decided to do a quick photomanip of Tigra (although quick is a relative term in my case) for no real reason other than I saw a pic I thought was suitable. I barely know the character beyond her Civil War appearances, so if I've missed some important detail off this piece of cheesecake, I apologize.
The model used is Sabrina Rojas. |

| Magik dreamslayer 2005/7/24 11:43 6803 27
this started out as a what if project: "what if Magik (of the new mutants)had lived", but I think the original idea ran away from me I think this is the largest pic I've worked on 90MB, let me know what you think. |

This was a requested manip by a close friend of mine who actually didn't beleive the stuff here at HeroMorph was done on computers. He's sorta into Carol Danvers and he wanted her original costume but I liked this one better. |

| "Intangible" - Lacey Chabert as Shadowcat Angelophile 2004/1/12 3:18 6894 5
Since I've been a bit tied up working on a new manip, I have a couple of old pieces still to post. This is one of them. Obviously inspired by the comic look for Shadowcat, Lacy Chabert sprung to mind after her appearance in Lost in Space and she seems to have the right look for the young Kitty Pryde.
Images came from various sources - the clothing is a blend of actual clothes and in some places simply the manipulation of skin with the Smart Blur tool to give a leather effect. The basic pose is Kelly Brook, and for once I didn't do an awful lot beyond adding clothing, combining various elements from fashion websites. |
