| Species Equinos

| The Equinos people are a proud and noble race of Demi-Humanoids with the head and hooves of a horse with giant feathered wings. They believe that their species is divinely chosen to serve the gods of light and to further the causes of said gods. To attest to this all of their warriors are paladins, and all of their spell casters are priests, the many gods of light are represented on their planet and one can always find food, shelter, and healing on their world. Their technology is the match for any in the five galaxies. Their warships are easily a match for anything found anywhere and while elegant in appearance are deadly in function. Equinos, when encountered off world are typically on crusade, or are on pilgrimage to earn a name for themselves and demonstrate their worth. Pilgrimages only end when the Equinos has performed a heroic task worthy of note, such as saving a large population, recovering some significant relic, or defeating some great evil. Many Equinos remain on pilgrimage for years sometimes decades, with a life span that rivals the Luminesti some have been on pilgrimage for centuries. Pilgrimages can end whenever the individual chooses and there is no shame and they may even take up another later. However, it is considered a great accomplishment to complete a pilgrimage and the individual is considered a person of high honor. There are of course those that are on Missionary service and may be establishing a monastery in some remote region of the five galaxies. In any case even the weakest among them are considered highly skilled warrior and that includes their spellcasters. |

| My next lead takes me to a factory on a remote system on the edge of the Hadean galactic rim. The troops there are well armed and armored. They never see me coming, and it's a slaughter...I know I'm supposed to be a "Hero" but today I'm on a missions from my clan and they require an assassin...Sorry Sarah, but I told you I wasn't a hero and beside I have a lot of history with the Hadeans and lost a lot of friends to them in combat. After the War their government was in shambles and several splinter groups appeared withing their system that rule independent sectors. This one is in bed with Razor's boss Nechronos. After accessing their computers it's confirmed, several billion credits along with arms and equipment were shipped here. The question is though, shipped from where? I get a line on the source, good thing for me they keep records, but it's probably a front, no matter Ray will get to the heart of it. I signal the Lillun and meet at the designated rendezvous coordinates. Razor may have escaped but as long as I live he won't be able to stop running and there is nowhere he can hide from me. |

| Jennifer Brooks was supposed to be one of a set of triplets, when a energy-matter transporter accident interacted with her Genetic Aberration as an instinctive fail safe the three fetuses merged into one. This fact was unknown to doctors who were dumbfounded. All of the experts consulted said that the missing two fetuses were simply gone...they were mistaken. Later it was believed that Jennifer suffered from schizophrenia, and when examined by doctors at the young age of 13 it was discovered that her brainwaves were erratic, not because she was mentally ill but because she had 3 separate minds intertwined into one. The merged minds of the three form a fourth separate being, this is Jennifer. Jennifer has no extraordinary powers skills or abilities. When separate the three personalities are known as (Mystria, Whylma, and Amethyst) each with it's own powers and skills and all aware of the other. It wasn't until the day of her prom when her date tried to "Go too far" that she learned the three personalities could personify and materialize into three separate beings. Artemis ( Whylma) the Warrior, Vex (Mystria) The Mage and Korona (Amethyst) The Psionic, unfortunately for the young boy he met primarily with Artemis who beat him almost to death. Each one of the personalities has her own mind and her own will ,dreams, and desires, and each one represents an aspect of Jennifer's own personality as well. So what keeps them together? If they should move farther than a mile from each other they will each grow weak, the extent of this weakness is suspected to go so far as death but this is not known and they refuse to test it for obvious reasons. They also cannot remain separated for longer than 48 hours without the same sickness which will again affect all of them. Jennifer herself is quite weak and so to protect her the three girls employed the services of a combat drone. Pretty, pink, cute, and armed to the teeth Malibu Bambi (aka the A-46 combat drone) has an advance self aware AI who looks after Jennifer like a kid sister...and boys beware she is very suspicious of men. Unless necessary or at Jennifer's behest Bambi will not engage in combat not involving the immediate safety of Jennifer. Bambi's personality matrix is one of the most advanced in operation, despite the fact the she has been obsolete for over a year now having been replaced by the now more popular A-47 combat drone. Together the three girls are known as Triple Threat though few if any are aware of the girls' true nature. |

I have just been told we may not be able to return home, that the vortex that led us here is no longer detectable to our sensors and I have no idea what to do next. I have competent crew working on a solution. I'm standing in my office staring out the window at the planet below...I often find myself doing that. This situation went from exasperating, to desperate. As I contemplate the situation my doorbell chimes:
"Enter."
Shadawar comes walking in, a look of concern on his face, dear heavens don't let it be more bad news.
"Captain, I'd like to speak to you about a personal matter."
"Oh thank the gods."
"What?"
"Honestly, I thought you were coming in here to tell me the power core was overloading or something."
"No heh heh, nothing even close. I just have this crewman who is working himself to death and refuses to take any breaks. I wanted your input on how I should handle it."
"Is he becoming a danger?"
"no but I'm afraid it may be interfering with his performance."
"Well have the The chief medical officer issue a medical for 24 hours R and R. I don't want anyone endangering this mission."
"I already spoke to the doctor and I have the order here."
".......it's for me isn't it?"
"Yup 24 hours R and R. As per YOUR orders sir."
"You know this isn't a military ship right, and that I don't have to follow those orders?"
"Yeah but I think you're overworking yourself. You've handled every critical aspect of this mission personally and it's been a bit much. You should seriously take a day to sort it all out. I can handle things for a day sir, get some rest...doctor's orders."
"Okay fine, maybe you're right. Just, keep the ship in one piece will ya?"
I turn the reigns over to my very astute first officer and head to my quarters where...five women are apparently waiting for me. I really hadn't been looking forward to dealing with this. The second I walk through the door I am assailed by women catering to my every need. Aini removes my helmet, and she's apparently been telling the others how to remove my armor as they disassemble it like pro's. I'm tired so I don't protest as they lead me to a hot steaming bath. I receive pampering the likes of which I have never known before. My mind becomes awash as these five ladies treat me like a king. They can cook their butts off and make a meal I won't forget any time soon. I discover the sister's names are Iote, Ninniach, and Vanim. There are many customs among her people that are strictly between husband and wife and they each take turns observing them. Aini of course is eager to help and any trepidation I felt before is washed away in a haze of delight. What's the old saying? "In for a penny, in for a pound?" I'm never gonna be good with this but maybe I can make it work. The next morning the Ai is waiting for me at the foot of my bed on her knees and I nearly lose it.
"Aini!!!!" I shout.
Aini rushes into the room, and immediately identifies the problem.
"N'uma amin arwen, lle uma il- kawa n'ala lle verno'. ro irma ten' lle a' be ho companion il- ho mool. ikotane duna, ro naa sai- lovien. lle coia yassen lye ar' sina lye men, saesa Soora lye customs."
(No my lady, you do not bow before your husband. he desires for you to be his companion not his servant. So rise, he is very loving. You live with us and this our way, please follow our customs)
Ai nods and I help her to her feet. She looks away, and all I can do is sigh. I lift her chin so that I'm staring in her ice blue eyes. I kiss her gently on the lips and she smiles. I feel warm and fuzzy and Aini is positively beaming. I can't look at this as a mistake anymore, I have to own this. I wanted peace with their people and this was part of the price for that peace. These women didn't ask for this but they accepted it. As for as Ai knows I am a demon just like Aini, or possibly worse. I have to do right by them and honor this arrangement in good faith. The ladies are a a team and a seamless one at that, they work effortlessly in the kitchen together. I call Aini over to me, she's gonna be my go to girl for managing this household, and as she approaches Ai speaks up.
"Aini, amin naa yeste' verne', whatever amin verno' quena, naa ten' amin ears. stay manke lle naa. verno', lle melar Lotesse sinta sut things moota sinome, nan' quel verno', ta naa amin yamen' san- acre en' lye eska. saesa quena a' amin."
(Aini, I am first wife, whatever my husband speaks, is for my ears. Stay where you are. Husband, your lover may know how things work here, but good husband, it is my place to take acre of our home. Please speak to me.)
I raise my hand towards Aini, and nod. With a look of concern she backs down.
"ai, lle quena sanya, Amin hiraetha. saesa nyara aini cael- ilye maa (exclamation)' lle report a' i' medical room ten' y' universal translator mauya. ta will halani lle rangw- i' dirthen lye ilye quena n'uma matter sut n'ataya ron naa."
(Ai you speak the truth. I apologize. please tell Aini to have each of you report to the medical room for a universal translator implant. it will help you to understand the languages we each speak no matter how different they are.)
Ai looks at her sisters and Aini and they leave for the Medbay. They each kiss me goodbye in turn and head out. I smile and think how I couldn't find one love and now apparently I have 5 and to my disbelief it's not a competition and nobody is accusing me of cheating. As I look around my quarters I realize that they are too small to accommodate six people and make a call to Sabrina.
"Engineering, this is the captain."
"Aye sir?" Sabrina chimes back immediately
"As soon as its convenient I am going to need to see you in my quarters."
"Only so long as you're not planning to add me to your harem sir."
Smartass,.
"Ha...ha...ha." I say wryly "You're close but not quite. I need to expand my quarters to accommodate my wives. As soon as you have time I need you up here to extend my living quarters if possible."
"okay captain, as soon as I'm able."
Maybe this won't be so bad after all.
The next thing I do is turn on my video equipment and watch and old tv show...I think I'm going to enjoy my day off...maybe even...make a sandwich and have a beer. Yeah. |

| Castle Necrom, Transylvania - Up until now Cutter had been lucky in his matchups. He easily out muscled Edge in round 1, and Venegeance could not match his skill level in round 2. Oh, and they both were human! Now for the first time he faces a foe with powers...powers of the undead yet! Cutter knew his only chance was to strike before his foe awoke..so he quickly flew to Bloodbath's crypt to catch the creature unawares. Too bad he didn't count for the time difference in Europe. He knows he's late and really begins to worry when he opens the crypt and finds it empty. Or is it? Seems like he forgot about a vampire's ability to turn to mist. Can anyone say sneak attack fail? |

Okay on this one I learned something new, I learned how to make realistic looking ice cubes. Sounds trivial you say? Friggin try it. I had to scour my maps to find just the right transparency map to make convincing ice, then I had to set the gloss, the ambient and the refraction (don't get me started on the refraction). It took nearly every trick and skill in my repertoire just to make some really nice ice cubes.
As for the pic...it's how Obsidian Mask winds down after nearly being blown to bits on a regular basis (he might have problems later on.) As for me I'm a Vodka guy, I like mine with sweet lemonade (you get hammered really fast though cuz it's like candy). |

| The Batmaster

The Batmaster...not inspired by Batman though it is understandable how one could draw that conclusion, but rather from the show "Hey Arthur" which featured a scary character they called the Batmaster. I stole the name and revamped the character as a hero. Batmaster is a Vampire who has what vampires call "Day Walker Syndrome". This is a fancy way of saying that he has never tasted adrenaline which is known to be highly addictive to vampires. The need for adrenaline is why vampires frighten their victims before feasting on their blood and is why vampires are so cruel there is no known cure for this additiction and it's hold is very nearly unbreakable.
Batmaster while still requiring blood to survive, only takes blood from willing victims, under the pretense of medical research. Multi-Billionaire Erik Vladamirov has lived for hundreds of years and seen many marvels from the invention of electricity to FTL travel through it all he has maintained his cover. Even when Vampires were unmasked before mankind he still managed to keep his terrible secret. During the millennium wars he felt compelled to help his galaxy combat the Sathari empire in the guise of the Batmaster which awakened in him an adventurous heroic spirit he never knew existed. Now disguised as the crime fighter Batmaster he prowls the night hunting Vampires and other threats to makind with his allies "The Scions of Justice". |

| The Lillun's bridge with all hands aboard. Armada clones man several stations and make up the majority of the ship's personnel, While Cobalt (Left), Obsidian (center), Cheetah (Right), and Crimson (Far right) man their respective posts. The SS Lillun is a privately owned vessel and one of the most advanced (and magically enchanted) within the 5 galaxies. The ship currently serves the interests of the now benevolent Sathari Empire with Obsidian as High Justiciar, and his friends each serving as Chancellors. They're second only to the emperor himself positions awarded by the Emperor for freeing his people and demonstrating their leadership abilities and courage for an empire that was not their own. |

| the Zero men are not simple blood thirsty mercs who kill anything that pays their bills, they are often hired for search and rescue, retrieval, and escort missions as well. They are famous for transporting cargo safely across vast distances safely. Hiring themselves out in a multitude of different capacities has proven quite lucrative, and many governments have sought their services dues to their reputation of getting the job done effeciantly and at a reasonable price. |

| Inside the Sable

I have dropped the Lillun back off to Harley and of course thanked him for loaning it to me so I could pick up my new ship. I have named her the SS Sable and while were safe in Sathari space I'll have her refitted. I have asked Harley to loan me some of the crew from the Lillun temporarily while I hunt down a new crew of my own and along with all I'm doing for the ship he obliges with a smile. It's good to have life long friends. The layout of the Sable's bridge is going to take some getting used to but it's not too drastically different from the Lillun or the Runt. I can't wait to get moved in to my new quarters and get a new FTL drive put in her, I coordinate everything with Harley's people and Find that the Emperor himself has assigned me a full time Psi-Mage as my personal guard along with a small compliment of troopers which he says is customary for anyone leaving a high ranking position in the empire. So I have some muscle on the trip. The Psi-Mage is a Hathhiss By the name of Shrrisa and she's one tough looking customer I think I'm going to like her. Once my bags are packed and I've said my farewells I head straight to the Solar system destination: Earth.
