This sad effort is a shot of The Tick and his children. Yes, you heard me, the Tick has children. Or sort of has children. See, I bought an old Tick comic in which our hero apparently got hit by a Cloning ray which produced four other 'Ticks'. The Tick responded to this by assuming he was a mother and hilarity ensued. From left to right we have:
Quasi-Tick
Proto-Tick(brown guy)
THE Tick
Dupli-Tick
Primi-Tick
Oddly enough, I had read once that Ben Edlund's first design of The Tick had him brown and furry so I can only assume the Proto-Tick guy is the first incarnation that never made it to the actual comic. At least until the cloning ray. |

I was reading Marvel Team-up #64 today in which Spiderman teams up with The Daughters of the Dragon to defend Iron Fist from Davos aka The Steel Serpent. Davos is another guy from K'un Lun or however its spelled and is an old enemy of Iron Fist's. Davos' father is Lei Kung The Thunderer who trained Iron Fist.
I can't say for sure why but I've always liked The Thunderer's look. Not to mention Steel Serpent and Iron Fist. Part of it may be that these particular issues were done by John Byrne early in his career and I've always been a big fan of his work.
Anyway, I was reading the comic and got the urge to do a quick drawing of Lei Kung and son. The drawings themselves were done too quickly(not counting the colors) which is why Lei Kung looks strange. |

| I saw a rendition of a baby Tick somewhere so I thought I would do my own version. So I did. The End. Somebody has to clue me in on the infamous significance of the previous title that must never be mentioned again. Or is this a case where ignorance is bliss? |

| Well, I figured I'd go ahead and color it. Warts and all. I left it with flat colors since they didn't do alot of shading and stuff back when these guys showed up. Plus I cropped it some to keep the negative space to a minimum. For better or WORSE here it is. |

| This one turned out better than my last Hulk pic at least. I've always liked this aspect of the Hulk. The persecuted monster rather than the rampaging. |

| I think that one of my first submissions here was a much older version of this idea. If not then just forget this explanation and enjoy the pic.(I hope.) I don't like it much at all anymore. The impulse to redo it has been nagging at me for awhile now so I finally just did it. I like this one alot better. I just think the whole thing is better. From the newer outfit and game to the new text in the word balloon. I hope everyone else likes it as much as or better than the original. I do. |

| I recently read a Wolverine novel by Marc Cerracini about when Logan was captured and subjected to the adamantium bonding process. There was a scene in it where Logan first regains consciousness after the procedure and kills the first technician he encounters. The image of him standing over his victim when he is discovered by security was so vivid it made me want to do this. I sketched it in my book with a ball point. |

Finally got to see Spiderman 3 and liked the black suit so much I wanted to do a drawing of it. Not sure if I like how this turned out or not. Cheated on the background by just finding a photo of buildings on the net. Funny thing is that its a photo of Bangkok.
May as well add SPIDEY TIME! here to get in on that event. |

I couldn't stand the drawing of the guy so I redrew it. I think this one is much better.
I think the idea is cool. I had this idea for maybe a slasher movie or even a comic. Its about a pizza guy who finally just snaps and starts stalking and killing people who, in his mind, deserve to be killed. Like the people who order hundreds of dollars worth of pizza and don't tip or the people who cut him off in traffic or the people who call and lie about his driving to try and get him in trouble. Stuff like that. Some people have said it doesn't sound interesting since the cops would probably figure it out too quick but I could see how it might take them a bit longer. Especially if the killer waits a while before killing them and doesn't go out and do it the same day he delivered their pizza. I could see it being difficult for the cops to connect the seemingly random victims but thats me. I probably want to think it would be a cool idea. Or maybe its just because its my fantasy to get back at the idiots I deliver to.
And yes, I stole the credits from the box of "The Crow: Salvation". |

| Would you believe this is the FIRST time I've done a finished pic of a solo Green Lantern? I've done JLA group shots with GL but for some reason I had never done a solo shot. This is also the first time that I inked a whole picture in photoshop. The only thing done on paper for this one was the pencil sketch. I know there are anatomical problems but I'm really psyched with how the color turned out. |

| Guy at work wants me to draw a tattoo of a dragon for him. I'm not great at drawing tattoos but this is what I'm giving him. I didn't spend much time on it since I figure he can just show it to the tattoo artist and have them modify it wherever he wants. Or he can just show it to them as an example of exactly what he DOESN'T want. :) |

This guy is The Mighty Penguin. Super strong, invulnerable, very mean. Better than explaining why he's called the penguin here is an exchange between him and a generic person who wonders the same thing:
Generic person: So, you call yourself the Mighty Penguin?
MP: Yes.
GP: Do you have penguin powers?
MP: No.
GP: ....did you somehow get your powers from a penguin?
MP: No.
GP: Are you similar to a penguin at all?
MP: Well...I can't fly.
GP: Ah I see...Then why do you call yourself The Mighty Penguin?
MP: I like penguins.
GP: Ah.
MP: They're cute.
GP: Yes, yes they are.
Anyway, I thought that would be funny and I thought it would also be funny if I made him extra mean. Nobody expects a guy called The Mighty Penguin to be very mean. Oh and I put the 'mighty' in front since DC probably holds the copyright to just 'The Penguin'. |
