| Narcoleptress VagabondX Original Characters 2007/7/12 22:14 1900 2
The idea for this particularly crappy drawing was born at work today when I was thinking about how sleepy I was. I was thinking about how I seem to be sleepy all the time and the name 'Captain Sleepy All The Time' sprang to mind. After thinking about it for around the next 10 hours I did this when I got home. The name changed to 'Narcoleptress' which is probably obvious. This character somehow acquired the power to make other people sleepy. To the point where she can actually make them fall asleep completely. Unfortunately, if she isn't actively using her power on someone, she feels sleepy herself. Which is why she is usually seen with a cup of coffee. And her belt pouches are full of money to buy more. She also leaves her shirt open to the navel since, owing to the fact that most criminals are male and she is usually sleepy when first encountering them, she often needs that first moment of distraction to snap out of her fugue and zap em with her powers.
She does help out friends sometimes who may be suffering from insomnia. |

| The Crow: Red Death VagabondX Other Comics 2006/7/22 20:06 1903 1
I've always wondered why there haven't been more female Crow characters so I came up with my own. I don't have much of a backstory for her except that, because of her red hair she earns the nickname 'The Red Death'. |

| Hellrazer VagabondX Original Characters 2007/4/13 12:52 1908 2
This is another character from Equinox comics. She is called Hellrazer and from what I can gather she fights vampires, werewolves etc. This is cropped from a bigger version with more lycanthropes but the lycanthropes look like crap and I was rather pleased with how the lady turned out so I figured I would center it more on her.
Hellrazer is copyright of Tim Lackey |

| Shadowmaster VagabondX TV and Movies 2007/3/10 18:41 1910 1
I like to collect old videos of cartoons from the past and I found one of that Double Dragon tv show they had a few years ago. Nothing special about the show but I like the character designs. Especially the villain. I think he's called Shadowmaster. |

| I do draw more than just this guy...no really I do. VagabondX Original Characters 2007/11/9 20:24 1911 4
This might be how Jack Kirby would have drawn The Christian. If he had drawn it with a broken arm. And one eye shut. And if he wasn't Jack Kirby but some other person who couldn't draw very well. |

| The Cardinal VagabondX Other Comics 2007/12/12 22:14 1924 4
This is The Cardinal created by K.J. Kolka. Its the longest running Christian comic ever. Started back in the late 70's from what I hear. I don't have much first hand knowledge of it but I'm impressed that its been around so long.
Although, the fact that its been around so long and I had never heard of it may speak for itself.:) |

| The Fowl: page 5 VagabondX Original Characters 2007/10/24 6:48 1937 3
Recently I was asked to contribute some artwork to a comic that is being put together by a guy named Dan Schkade of his characters. Several different artists are working on the book and I was assigned six pages. I'm going to post them here now that they are done. All characters are (c) Dan Schkade You can see his own work of these characters here http://privatefilesofthefowl.smackjeeves.com/ Check it out. Characters:
The Fowl(the hero) The Mime(hero's partner and girlfriend) Balberith(big devil guy and villain)
This is also why I haven't submitted much lately. |

| Iron Mess VagabondX Marvel Comics 2008/5/11 18:50 1946 5
Saw Iron Man yesterday and was super pumped during the movie to do a picture of him. But, as I knew it would, the inspiration faded as soon as I left the theatre. I didn't want to just give up on it so I did this of his 3rd armor suit. Although I added the hip disks from a later version just because I like them. I do not know why. I kept the colors flat in homage to the nostalgic look which is also why he's goofily waving at the fans. |

| Sister Christian VagabondX Original Characters 2006/11/30 20:42 1961 3
Maybe a partner for The Christian? I dunno. Just thought it looked kinda neat. Plus I couldn't resist using the name from that old Night Ranger song. And no, just because she's called 'sister' she's not a nun. |

| BlueBeetle Zombie VagabondX DC Comics 2007/12/2 9:37 1970 4
No this isn't a cheap shot at our resident BB. There is a jam on another site wherein we are supposed to draw a DC character as a zombie. I figured, what better person as a zombie than someone who is already 'dead'? At least until they bring him back to life. And yes, I know he looks like he has to pee. |

| Gloom redesign VagabondX Original Characters 2007/2/19 22:51 1982 3
Ok, I admit to really hating that last picture I did of Dr. Gloom. The hood made him look way too much like Cobra Commander, actually the whole outfit did that now that I think about it. So I came up with this new design for him. I liked the idea of a featureless mask of some kind. People with no faces have always seemed creepy to me and I sort of want that vibe for him. The mask is basically a helmet made of some kind of material like a two way mirror but more durable. The problem I encountered there is that his breath would fog up the inside of it so I added the wire mesh covered hole near the bottom for him to breath out of. Plus I think it would be a cool image to see his breath coming out of there if he's in cold surroundings. Anyway, I like this design alot better than the last one. |

| Jaga redesign VagabondX TV and Movies 2007/9/6 22:10 1988 5
Joined a Thundercats Jam on another site and got stuck doing Jaga. I hate that costume he wears so I redesigned him. Went for a more 'knight'-ish look. He always struck me that way.
Damn, the sword is too short. |

| The Masked Marvel! VagabondX TV and Movies 2008/8/4 22:57 2006 2
I sort of collect those old 1930/40's cliffhanger serials on vhs or dvd and I found one at a flea market called 'The Masked Marvel'. I hadn't heard of it but it was a guy in a mask so I figured for 2 dollars what the heck. Its actually a pretty good one aside from being overly similar to characters like The Spirit and Dick Tracy. I think it was done after The Spirit came out so it may be a blatant rip off.
Basically just a guy in a suit, hat, and mask with no powers or anything running around trying to stop, in this case, Japanese saboteurs and such. I figured I would try a drawing of him but with the movie being in black and white I didn't know what color his clothing was intended to be so I just did it like the show and made the picture b&w also.
I kind of like how it turned out that way except that I'm not as happy with the drawing as I was before I inked it. |

| Galactus VagabondX Marvel Comics 2007/4/11 22:59 2012 3
This is the original Galactus look from FF #49. Ok, its not exact in every detail but noone can recreate Kirby's designs perfectly. Am I the only one who didn't know that Galactus's first costume had no pants? |

| Shadow Storm VagabondX Other Comics 2008/4/20 22:14 2014 2
This character is from a short story by Mickey Zucker Reichert in an anthology simply called 'Superheroes'. Its a pretty good story about a litle girl who's parents are recently divorced and who now lives with her mother and new 'evil stepfather'. She finds a comic of this character at her real fathers house and hides it in her room. She becomes convinced that her real father is the secret identity of Shadow Storm(I know its almost exactly the name of Cobra's ninja supreme but in the authors defense I get the feeling she honestly had no idea.). Its got a good happy ending that is sufficiently mysterious to leave you wondering if he was indeed the superhero. The only part I didn't care for was that ,as in many cases with literature and the media, the abusive stepfather is portrayed as 'religious' because the girl has to hide the comic from him since he, "...saw sacrilege in any but bible stories." Anyway, I liked the character and the story so I tried a drawing. The only descriptives in the story are that he is all in red, has a cape/gloves/boots, has two S's on his chest and the only part of his body visible are his eyes. One cool thing from the story is that he can pull the S's off of his chest and they can form themselves into whatever he needs at the moment. Swords, clubs, etc.
This is also one of those, 'Dang, I haven't drawn anything in a while and I really want to but I don't have a good idea so I'll try and throw something together quickly', drawings. |

| Super buff Spirit VagabondX Other Comics 2008/2/5 18:17 2015 3
Yes, yes, I know The Spirit isn't this muscular. Hold your horses and let me e'splain. No there is too much. Let me sum up.
I've always liked Will Eisner's THE SPIRIT. Just as 90% of all comics fans do. And I've always wanted to do a drawing of him but the problem that has confronted me is that he's been done by the greats. Starting with the master Eisner himself, all the way down to the present day with another master Darwyn Cooke and, starting I think with issue 13 of this new series, Mike 'Hugely Underrated' Ploog. I knew I could never come anywhere near the level of any of those guys so I just went for fun and decided to do a super buffed up Spirit. Enjoy. |

| Last Son VagabondX DC Comics 2007/12/15 21:41 2023 5
Martian Manhunter has a new costume in the comics that I think is pretty cool. Not to mention a sad origin of being the last surviving Martian. Or not. I seem to remember a storyline with some evil White Martians so I guess he's not the complete last. The last benevolent Martian I guess. |

| Adam Strange VagabondX DC Comics 2006/7/16 15:14 2028 4
I know this is an older character but I always liked the design of his suit. Although, I did this one before they recently relaunched his comic with a redesign of said suit. |
