Two cool characters created by our own Bio-Haz Daddy for his Bio-Hazzard Task Force comic. I'm not overly satisfied with the coloring job , but then my focus was more on capturing the right look of the characters. What ya think, Bio? |

| Disruptive Breach: Electric Cyborg of the Gremlin Organization darth_paul 2012/6/15 9:38 1677 0
I had a bit of a tough time coming up with the motivation for D.B. as to why he would be a part of Upper-Hand's Gremlin Organization, as I wanted each of them to kind of specialize in a different kind of terrorism, espionage or organized crime. Then I figured that since I envisioned that he was from Africa, that perhaps he could be a conservationist, and thus go into the extremes of eco-terrorism which in turn would play into a desire to go against industries such as P.R. Nova's high-tech company which could been seen as "ruining the environment" despite the irony that D.B. himself is a high-tech villain. |

If I were a comic book character this is probably who I'd be. He's a very powerful telepath(Professor Xavier level)who has also been diagnosed with clinical depression. He is able to force the symptoms of depression onto other people. In extreme situations he can even cause a person to kill his or herself. Needless to say he's a villain but I hesitate to call him evil. He's not out to hurt anyone and will actually stop others from doing so. He would only be classified as a villain because he's so sick of the world's insanity that he tends to try to take it upon himself to change people's minds. Usually against their will. Which is of course tampering with our God given right to be idiots. Earning him the title of wrong doer. I'm not real keen on the greenish color but my first impulse, to make him a blueish, had him looking too much like Cobra Commander. Which he still does anyway. |

| Dr. Phase darth_paul 2016/6/6 6:55 1391 3
The situation between "Dr. Phase" and "Metallica" and their time-displaced future daughters, is of course inspired by the convoluted family dynamics of "Cyclops" and "Jean Grey" of the "X-Men." I just thought that I would try my hand at doing something similar with my own characters. |

Ok, so long ago I wondered what it'd be like if I had thought of Winterhawk. In my scheme of things he would've had connections with my character Firebird. Possibly been a member of my Universe Inc. In this, he'd've been a mutant with control of the weather (arctic style). And he would've had a kick ass pet hawk!!! |

This is a redo of an older drawing I originally posted over on Deviantart. I was never greatly satisfied with it so I redid it and I think it turned out better than the first. |

| Draw-Off Archive: 2009 - 'Toonz' Theme - 'Agent Awesome' TemporalDave 2016/1/7 18:45 1313 3
As I recall we were given the challenge to conceive of an animated series/project, akin to a Saturday morning kids show... Or maybe that was just my interpretation (2009 is quite a few drinks ago, after all). Fortunately I kept their synopsis' on file, so I can still present them each intact with their concepts. Anyways, here is the first of the five concepts I developed... Agent Awesome: A superpowered secret agent caught in an exciting endless adventure versus the forces of the villainous Doc Deadly. |

Anyways, here is the next of the five concepts I developed... Evilish: In a dark world of monsters and demons lives a group of misfits. The friendly pals 'Franklin' (The Makeshift Monster), 'Vlads' (The Count), 'Remmy' (The King), and their pet/housemate 'Dawgie' (a dog-wolfman) try to get by and do the right thing amidst the cruelest of creatures - with hilariously horrific results. They're not evil - they're just EVILISH! |

Or maybe that was just my interpretation (2009 is quite a few drinks ago, after all). Fortunately I kept their synopsis' on file, so I can still present them each intact with their concepts. Anyways, here this the final concept of the five I developed... Freak'n Genius: A scientist ('Dr. Guy') and the hyper-intelligent bunny rabbit ('Professor Fluffy') he has created carry out insane experiments in the scientist's lab. Neither character is exclusively "freak" or "genius" as both could be described as either - and as such, cause their own problems. Invariably to be solved within 22 minute timeframes. |

Anyways, here is the next of the five concepts I developed... Legal Aliens: The humourous tale of a single father's struggle to integrate on his new homeworld of Earth after being granted asylum from his own hostile race. Newly hired government employee B'ry (Barry) of the planet 'Alie' and his two sons - badass F'tz (Fitz), and nerdly Cl'n (Colin) - hide out from their invasion-crazed wife/mother H'ln (Helen) while subtly trying to prepare their surrogate home to repel the coming Alien horde... and keep out of trouble with the strange Earthlings. |

Anyways, here is the next of the five concepts I developed, this one an animated feature rather than a morning cartoon show... Whoah-Bot: A heartwarming animated feature about a boy and his robot - albeit the robot of an alien race out to control the Earth. After an alien operative loses control of his destructive robotic tank-droid, a young human boy befriends the adventurous cybernetic constuction - teaching it human values in the process. The boy struggles to return his new pal to its rightful owners in the hope that he isn't handing over the keys for domination as a result. |

My first in a series of drawings I'm posting for this draw/off. I had all of them posted at GM but will re-post them here. No introductions for these characters are needed I trust? |

| Dread darth_paul 2014/11/17 6:01 1379 2
This is Dread, whom I originally referred to in my bio for my character, Terrapina of the EMP. They are part of a race of turtle-people that are influenced by the legendary Japanese kappa. Visually however, they are influenced by my love of TMNT |
