| My first Manip Ever! OCP 2007/5/25 19:00 2875 6
Long Time fan of all ya genius. Few days ago downloaded the Max tutorial for PSP but didn't want to do a PG, so try to do a gender bender of my favorite old Captain Marvel. I know it looks bad , but hey, is my first!! Just trying a few things to see what could do with it. The tutorial warned not to expect much the first time, and i realize the colors are wrong but i tried... Please, comments and critics welcome. Still not happy, but it's more like what i imagened...

| Invisible Woman in a Snowstorm Wasmith 2007/5/24 12:21 3748 21
Here is Sue using her power of invisibility. Sure is a heavy snowstorm, hope her force field is keeping her shielded from the cold.
Note her new pet kitten, Whitey, who is sure enjoying his nice bowl of milk.
I worked pretty hard on this, comments are welcome. |

| Spider-Man 5: The Hunt EvilDeadAlive 2007/5/24 7:59 2629 4
thought for part 5 spidey should battle Kraven The Hunter. This is based off the comic book, Kraven's Last Stand. I think that is what it was called. |

| Fan 4: Rise EvilDeadAlive 2007/5/24 7:57 2577 4
I saw this picture from the new Fantastic Four movie and thought it would make a better poster then what is being used for real. I tried to give it a grindhouse/comic book look. I only added the Fantastic Four to the top because it is who the movie is about and the title of the film. But I made another without them in it too. |

First off, let me start by thanking Wolverine1607 for being such a great instructor. I couldn't have done anything worth looking @ w/o his help. Well, its' been a while since I've posted anything. In the spirit of all of the Spiderman hype, I too thought I might as well, toss in my Spider [wo]man manip. I hope you like it. I know there are a few adjustments that could be made -- like the webbing. But I tried to get it done as quickly as possible. I've got a party to go 2 tonite. Please leave critique. |

| Spidey Time - New Red and Blue Wolverine1607 2007/5/18 23:25 5786 13
I used the same Model as the first one that was done. But of course there always is the Red and the Blue suit. I had to totally rebuild and do the costume from scratch. Webbing all. As well I gave it a moonlight background instead, seemed to fit better anyway. As You can see more of the details for the suit actually in this one. As far as the suit goes and detail I like this one better than the first one. Had to redo and try to give it a moonlight feel on her back as well. The webbing was done with paths and one line or curved web at a time. As well I tried a new technique for the costume texture on this, tried to match the Honeycomb feel to the suite. But take a look and let me know what you think.... always like comments. Thanks guys! |

| Manip Challenge #2: Mission Impossible - The Incredible Belly Man Android 2007/5/8 9:38 2912 5
I have a huge amount of photomanips to do! I know that and I don?t intend to ignore them. But, what hell, this is so funny that I couldn?t resist.
I basically used Liquify to change the proportions of this brave (because I wouldn?t show my belly to a camera like that) comic fan. Then, I remade his hair with brush tool (that was the easy part) and built a proper musculature to the green goliath (that was more difficult) using different sizes of brushes and Overlay effect.
This has no intention to be a masterpiece so I decided to keep few things like: the wedding ring, the Bermuda shorts and the background.

| Spidey Time: My Spidey 3 Costume! effektdmentality 2007/5/7 2:26 6324 4
So for Spidey 3 I decided to make my own suit and cosplay around the theatre on opening night. I had a lot of fun as the Red Power Ranger for Halloween a few years ago, and the Symbiote suit was a lot of the same process.
At first I wanted to be Venom, but seeing as how I have a small build, I instead opted for spidey.
The suit is once agin fully constructed out of stuff I've had lying around or found at thrift stores and the like. Most if not all of it is hotglued together, as I can't sew to save my life. So from the top down, here's my process:
The mask is some lycra from when I did band in high school (night competitions in the fall get pretty cold). The lenses are peices of a white mesh hat sandwiched between two layers of 2 litre soda bottle plastic. I can see pretty well out of them, and they photograph as pretty white, so it worked out great. The webs are dimensional fabric/puff paint. Velcro on the inside edges keep it attached slightly to my shirt.
The shirt was some under-armor type stuff I found at a thrift store sports section. I was lucky enough to find one that fit my body pretty well. The webs are again fabric paint. The front spider is fabric paint as well, the back spider (not visible) is silver sharpie, since I ran out of paint =D
The gloves are formal attire gloves I found at the thrift store again. Webs are fabric paint.
The pants are exercise/biking pants, so they were formfitting too. The web belt was painted onto the pants, and the pants overlap the shirt so that the belt matches up with the webs on the shirt. From far enough it looks like one piece.
The boots are long black socks, with fabric paint webs. I plan on hot gluing sandal bottoms to the bottom of the socks to make them actual skintight boots. We'll see.
And that's that. I plan on improving it and then wearing it to Super Con in San Jose later in the summer.

| Spider-Woman in Hydra's Grip Kallisti 2007/5/6 11:39 4071 8
I really liked this base pic, and instantly envisioned Hydra's leader the Viper whispering instructions into a not-so-sure Spider-Woman's ear.
Happy with the costumes and wrinkles, not so thrilled about the eyes or the mask in general.
Let me know what you think! |

| Manip Gone Bad CDA 2007/4/25 19:03 3208 8
Has this ever happened to you? You find yourself hard at work on that perfect photomanip. Next thing you know you?re flat on your back starring up at the ceiling. You look over at your monitor, and smoke is billowing from its innards. You frantically do a search for that last manip you were working on, and the file is gone. Has that ever happened to you? ? Anyone? ? Anyone? ? No? ? Just me? |
