This is my Seraph (I'm sure at least one or two of you has started recognizing her by now!) done in an old sk00l pin up pose. I based it off a (omg!) pin up photo I found through google.
Pure digital painting, took me all day in PS 7 to get her done, and I messed up. I didn't do a larger version because sometimes I prefer to just work with the size it needs to be. So for this I started small, because it was to be my new I.D. on deviantART. Halfway through I realized it was turning out fairly nice...but I'd already spent so many hours on it already I didn't want to start over.
Anyway, I'm rather proud of it, regardless of how small she is. And I do not own a tablet! Everything I do with photoshop is done with a mouse. So there. :P
I mention that because people seem to think I have a tablet. I wish I did!
She doesn't have the wings in this picture, though I did another version with a set of paintbrush wings that I threw on there for an avatar. But it's even smaller than this, so I'm not putting it on here.
Next time I'll make a really really huge digi-painting. |

This is my character Nia Demarchis, Seraph, if any of you remember her. In recent storylines she's been going through a bit of trouble when it comes to matters of the heart. She and the man pictured, Devon, have had a rocky relationship for the past year or more. He constantly struggles with insanity due to the goblin formula (the same stuff Norman and Harry Osborn took) being in his blood...because he's the lab grown son of Harry.
Confused yet?!
After a bad judgement call on the part of Nia (and the subsequent unfaithfulness that ocurred) it seemed to be over for the couple. They broke up and went their seperate ways, Devon going even further down the spiral of villainy, while Nia remained an x-man.
Fast forward to a year later, and Devon had set his sights on godhood. He and a few members of the Hellfire Club took over Asgard and made themselves gods after killing or subduing the rest of the pantheon. Right before this Devon had left subtle hints for Nia that he still had feelings for her.
She never got over him, and that only brought back all the feelings she'd tried to suppress over the past year. In the end she turned her back on the x-men, betrayed them to save Devon's life, and sacrificed her status for him.
the catch? Devon still won't openly admit his feelings, and mostly is quite callous towards her. She's acting on faith alone, and sometimes fath dwindles.
This picture was inspired by their story. Nia is in the foreground, begging God (and Devon) to listen to her and bring back her love. Devon is lingering behind, torn between admitting his feelings and just walking away...
And looming just over his shoulder is the primal, blood thirsty side of him, just waiting for a chance to take advantage of a weak moment....

My character Seraph once again. It's been a while since I sketched her, so the other day I decided to do a new pinup to see if my skills of an artist (I love you Strongbad) have improved since my last attempt. I'd like to think they have! The original sketch wasn't quite this good, however. An awesome friend of mine did the inking and was nice enough to adjust a few imperfections (like the hand, and the dagger, both of which I completely suck at). She added a lot of extra detail to the lines for the wings, which I added even more to in the coloring. It's a labour involving two different people so I couldn't even pretend to claim all the work. The original, not so awesome lines were penciled by me, the inks done by my uber awesome cali girl, and the colors were done by me in PS7 over about two days. I know the background isn't anything special but I lost inspiration for it after doing those wings. *L* It suffices, however. I didn't want anything to take away from the figure herself, anyhow.

| The last of the fully finished pages. If I don't decide to go a totally different direction with the art, this one will be the full title page. I've just got to figure out what to call the damn thing *L* It's basically a "solo" series of my Marvel rpg character Seraph, though it takes place in a universe I've created. She's essentially the vigilante hero type, part of a small minority of superhumans that are still largely a mystery to the population at large. Their existence is known, but the scientific community has no answer for what they are. The first "issue" of sorts, should I ever get the time to finish it, will introduce Nia, and her little "sidekick" George. If I ever get the chance I'll probably submit a few character designs for the random people who will appear in this comic. If I ever find the time to work on it more. :( |

| I've mentioned in the descriptions to some of my sketches of my Seraph character that i've been wanting to do a comic starring her, and this is the first of four finished pages I've got. Time constraints have left me with like, 6 more pages that aren't finished yet, but hopefully eventually i'll have this thing done. I'm not sure if I'll stick with this style or not, though. I like it..but I don't. So we'll see how it goes. |
