Capt. Skullheart's Crew 5 of 7: Treasure Maiden.
Treasure Maiden is quite simply the classic adventurer/archaeologist type without my resorting to making her look like another Indiana Jones or Lara Croft clone. I also made her the team navigator and gave her an uncanny sense of direction as a kind of "super power" to make her that much more unique.

Gotta love a hot redhead sitting on her booty right? (Sorry I couldn't resist responding with another pun after yours.)

Yeah, that's precisely what I was thinking it was... Marvel has several characters with those sort of non-combat powers, most famously the New Mutants' Cypher (superhuman language abilities) and the X-Men's Forge (superhuman invention ability). One of my own original characters can instinctively use any form of technology. I think it's an interesting approach to superpowers; people who can fly and punch stuff are a dime a dozen.

I read a comic once, an issue of JLA I think, where Batman was describing the nature of meta-human abilities. In it he said something to the effect that more people have them than you would think, but a lot of them are so low level that they wouldn't even register as being "super-powers." His exact words were something like the annoying old lady who keeps winning at powerball because she can predict the numbers. This is how I see her ability.

I like the passive superpower (...if that's what it is). Good design too.
