I'm sure you can guess which is which.
An older drawing that I'm still pretty fond of, despite a few glaring anatomy issues. This was actually an update of a 1998 drawing, so I may do another update with (hopefully) better anatomy and poses. We'll see!
The characters were created for a short story assignment in one of my screenwriting classes.

| BLUE ROLLER by Vagabond X/Inks by KER1 KER1 2007/6/6 7:31 1996 4
Well I'm hoping I didn't offend ya Vagabond By inking your stuff, I always look at your work and enjoy it, I like the style and concepts so much, that I often think to myself "Man I'd like to ink this guy's work"! So since I was diggin' the Blue Roller? .. lol I figured I'd have some fun inkin' him up, I was extremely tempted to color it up too!!! Peace! |

| Ideas can come from odd places. VagabondX 2007/6/5 14:16 2043 4
At work recently one of the cooks made reference to not being able to find the 'blue roller'. I assume this is some sort of cooking implement but in my demented mind it conjured images of some sort of blue costumed hero on wheels. I'm not especially proud of the image or the idea(It seems too generic. Plus I'm not sure what I intended for that thing on his back. Maybe some sort of propulsion?) but I thought it was quite interesting where it originated. Strange where some ideas come from. |

| Sometimes I have weird thoughts. VagabondX 2007/6/4 22:58 2070 5
Today at work I was doodling in my little sketchbook. I wanted to draw a manga-ish female head wearing some kind of domino mask. For no good reason I thought she should be looking back over her shoulder. Then I thought she should have little wings because I like drawing wings. Then I thought it would be sexy if she were topless and covering her breast with her hand. Then I thought I would like to draw her with a nice caboose which would look good covered with a pair of blue panties. I don't know if all of that sounds as strange to anyone else as it does to me but I also found it interesting how the drawing built itself piece by piece in my head as I was drawing it. |

| Evil Ned: Space Zero and Black Wino by darth_paul darth_paul 2007/5/24 8:51 2033 2
These two are the evil clones of Cap'n Ned: Space-Hero and Wino: The Spaced-Out Cat. They are the villains featured in the story that I wrote online. Once again this was colored in Photoshop just like their heroic counterparts. |

| Original Characters Cap?N Ned & Wino by darth_paul darth_paul 2007/5/22 20:27 2070 4
These are a couple of crazy characters of mine that I recently featured in a story that I wrote at another website. This is also the first artwork that I've ever done where I colored the characters in Photoshop in addition to the logos, background and other type in Photoshop and Illustrator. |

| FOR FREEDOM! by Tim Bowman colored by Oran Oran 2007/5/22 19:37 2104 5
This is a coloring I did of a drawing by My friend Tim Bowman. It's of a group of Golden age characters we are playing in the champions system.
I had a blast taking the line drawing tim did and adding the color layers and backgrond images. All work was done in Adobe Photoshop CS2. As I completed the big broken wall, it dawned on me that it was a perfect warbonds poster, which fit the style of our characters to a tee.
This is my first post, hope you enjoy and I would love feedback. |

| On Wings of Lead deathrose 2007/5/11 8:31 2547 4
My character Seraph once again. It's been a while since I sketched her, so the other day I decided to do a new pinup to see if my skills of an artist (I love you Strongbad) have improved since my last attempt. I'd like to think they have! The original sketch wasn't quite this good, however. An awesome friend of mine did the inking and was nice enough to adjust a few imperfections (like the hand, and the dagger, both of which I completely suck at). She added a lot of extra detail to the lines for the wings, which I added even more to in the coloring. It's a labour involving two different people so I couldn't even pretend to claim all the work. The original, not so awesome lines were penciled by me, the inks done by my uber awesome cali girl, and the colors were done by me in PS7 over about two days. I know the background isn't anything special but I lost inspiration for it after doing those wings. *L* It suffices, however. I didn't want anything to take away from the figure herself, anyhow.
as usual, this is Nia Demarchis, aka Seraph of the X-men, a character created by me for a Marvel rpg chat room on imaginechat.com (yep, that's a shameless plug) |

| Nameless character. VagabondX 2007/5/8 22:04 2127 4
In those painting kits my girlfriend and I bought were these little artist model fellows. So of course I had to draw a domino mask on mine which led to the idea of this guy. I don't know what to call him but I thought the story would be something like...
An anonymous comic book artist/cartoonist draws a superhero outfit on this wooden artists model. What the artist doesn't know is that while they sleep, the power of the artist's imagination brings the little guy to life AND bestows upon him superpowers allowing him to fight crime. But only when the artist is asleep. I know it sounds alot like the Marvel character Sleepwalker but oh well. Just an idea rambling around my head. |

| This one is better I think. VagabondX 2007/5/2 21:27 2063 5
I'm so displeased with that last Bat-chic pic that I had to try to do a new one to dispell the ill feelings. I think this one is better but I don't know. In case its difficult to tell, she is adjusting her hair and holding one of those small compact thingies. I felt she also needed a purse so there ya go. For better or worse. Sad part is, I feel this one is better than the last and this one is just a ball point pen sketch from my art pad that I colored and smudged around on in photoshop while the other one that I don't care much for was a fully inked drawing. |

| Nuther Painting. VagabondX 2007/4/29 21:17 2114 3
Cathryn and I tried some painting again last night. I feel like I should paint something other than superheroes but I'm intimidated by painting so I fall back to subjects I'm comfortable with. I know, I know, it should have a background but bear with me. First things first. I have to get comfortable simply with painting before I can try to add backgrounds. The character has no name. He's just an easy painting subject. |

These are the first three penciled pages of a story, Alley Kat 2.0: The Cat Came Back by a guy who contacted me on devart. I'm having fun working on this. The story is great. I just wish I had more time to devote to it so it wasn't taking me so long. I'm not sure if these are regarded as sketches or not and whether or not they should be in that new forum/gallery thing but I'm sure I'll find out one way or the other. |
