Teotihuac?n is an Aztec site of great importance not far from Mexico City. The Aztecs believed the gods created the universe here, and began construction on the magnificent temple complex around 100 BC. . . . Today many tourists frequent this amazing site but recently there have been many reports of tourists mysteriously vanishing, local authorities have had no luck in figuring out the strange goings on, so the matter had been turned over to The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.
Of course The Bureau just assumed that tourists were wandering off and getting lost in some of the Labrynthine tunnels at Teotihuac?n, but just to be safe they sent Hellboy to check things out . . . . .

| I did this a couple years back in my "blackbook", I'd started a new one up because I felt "they" weren't givin' me enough arttistic freedom at my job, so the blackbook would keep me loose and allow me to do whatever I wanted . . . . of course this is my WAY graff styled Hellboy! What I like the most about Graff is that there are NO rules, it is such an abstract art form that you can do no wrong! |

| Well I originally did this piece back in '05 in my black book in markers, and had the inks scanned before I went to color it. So the other piece you've seen up here was the DIGITAL version of this piece which I was able to get the nice stone texture in the Hand o' doom . . . . but as I've said before, I love just gettin' in there and usin' the markers, so I finally got around to scanning and posting it! . . . . And of course the explanation behind the Mignola signature is: I went to this thing that year called "A night with Mike Mignola" at Parsons School of design in NYC, he was a nice guy and really easy to talk to and he thought my version of his character was "cool" as well!!! . . . . O.k I coloured this like I said I would, It took me a best part of a day (Groan!) I went for the smooth anime Cel style, Gonna do a reander version too.
What took the time was cleaning up the lines cause I'm seriously demented when it comes to smooth lines, ended up with a vector style drawing would have been quicker to do in illustrator.

update:O.k here I am again (argghh!)
Third time lucky.
The original background was much better,it took ages then photoshop crashed, THIS IS JUST A TRIBUTE!

| I was over at a friends house last night having a drawing session and started to think about the books I used to read...... next thing that happened, I was drawing the Maxx. Inked it this morning, colored in Photoshop, created his little perch in Photoshop too. The background is something I airbrushed up while practicing making clouds. |

This is my coloring job. Tazman drew this picture, but her name is "Susan T". She's part of 'Lady Heromorph's challenge #2 -- coloring'. The background is an outside part of a bar somewhere in Chicago, Illinois. Susan T kinda reminded me of 'Black Canary', so I tried keeping her like that. I hope everyone likes it.
