| Forgotten heroes Android 2004/8/8 8:31 4089 10
Originally these four illustrations had been produced separately so that I could distribute them among my RPG players. I am 31 years old and still adore this cartoon (yes. These characters were based on a cartoon).
One of the most complete examples that a good story added to a crew of excellent professionals can conceive one memorable and educational cartoon (for all ages).
I will not reveal the names of these characters. But I will give two tips: 20 years of aging and two people and one animal are missing here.
They've made a comic book with them so I am not cheating you, ladies and gentlemen.

Society of Virtue is a brazilian webcomic that makes fun of the superhero genre. You should check out their Youtube Channel.
One of their characters is Majestosa (Majestic), a woman with a super-strength who dresses in a tiny piece of latex that is the cause of several villains appearing, only to be punched by her. She is the second strongest member of the Society of Virtue. She is a parody of Wonder Woman, Radical Feminism and Sexualization of Women.
This is my version of her, you can also see in the comment section the making of.

Long-time champion and leader of the Speed Planet, OVERRIDE is always ready for a race. Acceleration is her only ideal, but she respects anyone with the guts to challenge her. She's faced and beaten thousands of upstart speedsters in her time. Though at first suspicious of the intentions HOT SHOT and the AUTOBOTS have for her world's Cyber Planet Key, OVERRIDE is only too glad to help once she realizes what's at stake. |

| Octavia LordKuyohashi 2008/6/24 13:29 3390 9
For some reason I've been reminiscing about a very obscure '80's cartoon called 'TigerSharks'. Kinda like ThunderCats or SilverHawks, but with fish...probably the same production studio, so that explains the braintrust in motifs. The whole point was scientists who become fish-people to protect some water-covered world from some dessicated pirate-mummy, I think.
Anyways, as was par the coarse in the '80's, the only character worth two figs was the one female with weird hair and the least annoying voice, and in this case, it was Octavia.
On a purely tangential note, damn, that background nearly broke me. |

| Spaceghost VagabondX 2008/4/3 22:56 3288 10
Alex Toth was a genius at character design. Spaceghost was one of the best ones he did. I wanted to do more of a serious shot of him rather than the humorous 'Coast to coast' persona. I was pretty pleased with this one almost all the way through it. It wasn't until the end of the coloring that something went wrong. I'm not sure if its his energy blasts, the background or the cape and cowl(if not all three) but something just isn't right. Or it could be something completely different that my conscious mind just isn't catching.
*After some of the great suggestions by fellow artists I fiddled with this one a bit. I like this new one. |

Anyone remember this 'toon? This is yet another pic that I will regret rushing through. I hate doing that but seem unable to correct it. I was up way too late and had to go to work the next day but I didn't want to have to wait until the next night to finish it. I guess I'm neurotic about it but I just can't wait to see what they are going to look like so I end up rushing them. Dangit. I may eventually get around to coloring this. Or not. Only the Shadow knows. |
