| The Atom whiz DC Comics 2011/1/15 8:42 3353 6
The Atom introduced during the Silver Age of comic books in Showcase #34 (1961) is physicist and university professor Ray Palmer (named for real-life science fiction writer Raymond A. Palmer, who was himself quite short). Using a mass of white dwarf star matter, he fashioned a lens which allowed him to shrink down to subatomic size. Originally, his size and molecular density abilities derived from the white dwarf star material of his costume, controlled by mechanisms in his belt, and later by controls in the palms of his gloves. Much later, he gained the innate equivalent powers within his own body. ~enjoy |

| The Flash :Speed Force whiz DC Comics 2012/1/22 2:29 1900 0
hi gang, thanks for visiting. as you can see i've been really getting back into comic heroes.my last piece and a graphic novel got me to thinking about the alex ross flash from kingdom come.in it it said the flash had accelerated so fast he'd become part of the speed force all flashes get there meta powers from.in the graphic novel 'blackest night' there's a scene where the flash (barry allen) actually stops moving to contemplate in grief over what's happened. that and a recent convo on my last image got me to thinking 'why not mix up those concepts and show what the flash might look like if he actually slowed down enough to see him?' and wha la.this is what i envisioned. enjoy :) *till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards* lee |

| The Spectre whiz DC Comics 2010/7/19 8:23 2517 4
The Spectre is a modern god and superhero in the DC Comics canon. He was created by Jerry Siegel (co-creator of Superman) and Bernard Baily, and made his first appearance in More Fun Comics #51.
In early appearances, The Spectre was depicted as the spirit of a deceased cop that was on a mission to fight crime on earth. Like many popular comic book characters, the decline in popularity of the comic genre lead to a hiatus in the 1950s. Once the comic business picked up again in the mid 1960s, many of the popular comic characters, including The Spectre, were revived and often re-invented. The Spectre became a much more power avenging spirit with near omnipotence, only to be greatly decreased in power in the 1980s, leaving him as little more than a ghostly detective. |

| The Spectre II : Jim Corrigan whiz DC Comics 2013/10/14 3:15 1811 3
The Spectre is a cosmic entity and the physical embodiment of God's vengeance on Earth. Permanently bonded to a human soul, he uses his incredible divine powers to punish the truly wicked, usually ending his victim's lives in creative and ironic ways. Jim Corrigan, a member of the Justice Society of America during the Golden Age was the original Spectre and the most well-known. |

| Themyscirian Princess whiz DC Comics 2013/4/24 14:17 2275 2
~When Wonder Woman's homeland is first introduced in 1941, it is referred to as Paradise Island, a secret and hidden island inhabited by the Amazons of myth. The Amazons had grown tired of the evil ways of mankind in ancient Greece after being enslaved by Hercules and had separated themselves to this island where they could practice a peaceful way of life and cultivate their minds. With the island blessed by the Olympian Gods, no man is allowed to physically set foot on it. When United States Army intelligence officer Steve Trevor's plane crashes there during World War II, he is nursed back to health on the nearby Island of Healing by Princess Diana, daughter of the island's Queen Hippolyta. Diana soon competes against other Amazons to become Wonder Woman, the representative from Paradise island who will accompany Steve back to "Man's World" and aid in the fight against the Axis powers. It is established that all Amazons are adept at a discipline called "bullets and bracelets" in which they are able to deflect bullets fired at them using the metal cuffs on their wrists.
This basic back-story remains intact throughout the Golden Age and Silver Age of Comic Books, until the 1985-1986 Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline. Upon the conclusion of this limited series, most characters in the DC Comics universe underwent some revamp or retcon in their storyline history, and Wonder Woman was one of several characters whose entire continuity was rebooted.~ Greetings mortals, here's hoping you all are well and in good spirits.been a while.never the less i'm still creating when i have breathing room. thanks forver and a day for your kind words. ...till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards, lee

| U Can't C ME !! whiz TV and Movies 2017/5/27 4:44 1552 8
hey hey, any wrestling fans out there ? i am for sure and have been since i caught a glimpse of andre the giant when i was really young.in the 80's i took my vitamins and said my prayers with the hulkster, did the superfly off the edge of our couch.guys like flair and his horsemen, the excellence of execution, the king of kings, the heartbreak kid,and so many others had me wanting to throw an illegal object in the ring to help out every time i got to watch them. so many of them have retired or passed on including the undertaker who gave me all kinds of goosebumps from day one. he had this one match with john cena that in my eyes was one of theee greatest matches of both of their careers. i've followed cena's performances since then through all his title runs. he's now a 16 time champ which matches the nature boy's almost unbreakable record. i myself thought it couldn't be done. then there's his mad mic skill, as a rapper and inside the squared circle.THAT made me a big fan. yeah i chant 'let's go cena !! cena sucks!!' every week but of course u can't see me !!! lol thanks always, lee |

| Up From The Depths whiz DC Comics 2012/3/12 3:47 2263 6
?The story must start with my father, a famous undersea explorer ? if I spoke his name, you would recognize it. My mother died when I was a baby, and he turned to his work of solving the ocean's secrets. His greatest discovery was an ancient city, in the depths where no other diver had ever penetrated. My father believed it was the lost kingdom of Atlantis. He made himself a water-tight home in one of the palaces and lived there, studying the records and devices of the race's marvelous wisdom. From the books and records, he learned ways of teaching me to live under the ocean, drawing oxygen from the water and using all the power of the sea to make me wonderfully strong and swift. By training and a hundred scientific secrets, I became what you see ? a human being who lives and thrives under the water.?~arthur curry hiya, hope you're doing well.here's my newest.i decided to revamp my version of ac yet again.i'm still fiddling with his costume textures. i got closer to my goal this go round (yaaay!). i wanted a serene at peace scene this go round.as much as i love action in my images i also like to see 'inside' my characters. this time i felt like i was looking over arthur's shoulders.so i'm real happy at how this one shaped up. anyhoo enjoy friends... thanks for the support... *till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards*, lee |

| what the hell was that thing ? whiz TV and Movies 2017/6/2 0:03 1495 4
hiya friends, one great thing about doing the kind of art i do is i get to reminisce back to the good old days when i was a kid.a time when tv, comics, etc kept us on the edge of our seats waiting for whatever cliffhanger to be resolved. one of the things that always sticks in my mind are the classic lines that you hear in the background in old tv shows like 'what the hell was that thing ?' when lou ferrigno was running down the street on the incredible hulk.i think the line was used in every show but i can't really tell ya if the voices owner was actually in the scenes or if it was dubbed in.don't ask me why ,i just thought it was mega cool and it was always right on time. anyhoo, you guys rock, thanks for the support.

| wonder woman : flight 2 whiz DC Comics 2013/10/14 3:18 2201 3
hey all, well it took longer than i thought to find time to finish any kind of art.even harder to find time to see what's going on here. i have as many of you have noticed made an effort to thank those of you who comment and fav.does a body good to hear from you let me tell ya. what's to tell about this piece... hmmm... i've been a fan of princess diana since cathy crosby and lynda carter spun around way back when.lately i've been praying SOMEone will come up with a new series and/or movie.at the moment everybody seems to be debating who should play the amazonian goddess (GINA CARANO FOR WW) and read a million reasons (excuses) for her wearing pants instead of the trademark leotard. oddly there are an astonishing amount of images and fan made(www.facebook.com/superherophot… is doing some off the wall comic based work... check him out fo real) stuff floating around the web of her wearing everything from xenaesque battle gear to full battle armor (thanks to alex ross's kingdom come)to biker leather to the 40's short skirt to ww grannie panties of yesteryear, yeah and pants.so i'm thinking hmmm shouldn't be hard to get a decent set of togs together right ? i for one think the arrow smallville spartacus folks should get on with it and put diana prince back on the small screen and the warner bros folks should work that batman superman magic for her big screen debut.it can't really really be all about a leotard clad Greek Goddess not getting acclaim.just picture what the spartacus girls had on ... or didn't lol.greece and rome for that matter weren't too much different right ? SOMEBODY PLEASE WRITE A SCRIPT ALREADY!!! whew... ok rant over... basically i'm just a ww fan for life.i tried out the new 52 outfit this go round.not sure if i really like the blue boots but it was a good way to practice with daz's most finiky vicky 4. enjoy peeps... *till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards²* lee |

| Wonder Woman : Flight I whiz DC Comics 2013/10/14 3:22 2174 2
~Centuries ago, the Amazons, a proud and fierce race of warrior women, led by Queen Hippolyta, battled Ares, the God of War, and his army. During the battle, Hippolyta beheaded her son, Thrax, whom Ares forcibly conceived with her, and then defeated the God of War himself. Zeus prevented her from killing Ares. Instead, Hera bound his powers with magic bracers so that he was deprived of his ability to draw power from the aura of violence and death he could instigate, and only another god could release him. In compensation, the Amazons were granted the island of Themyscira, where they could be eternally youthful and isolated from Man in the course of their duty of holding Ares prisoner for all eternity. Later, Hippolyta was granted a daughter, Princess Diana, whom she shaped from the sand of the sea shore and gave life with her own blood. ~ |

| World's Finest whiz DC Comics 2012/2/11 6:51 1915 0
~Superman/Batman was a monthly comic book series published by DC Comics that features the publisher's two most popular characters: Batman and Superman. Superman/Batman premiered in August 2003 and was an update of the previous series, World's Finest Comics, in which Superman and Batman regularly joined forces.
Superman/Batman explored the camaraderie, antagonism, and friendship between its titular characters. Jeph Loeb, the series' first writer, introduced a dual-narrator technique to present the characters' often opposing viewpoints and estimations of each other, which subsequent series writers have maintained. Prior to the 1985 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths, the two iconic characters were depicted as the best of friends. Frank Miller's landmark series The Dark Knight Returns was the first DC story that depicts the heroes at odds with each other, as opposed to pre-Crisis incarnations~ hey hey, i'm back with a new piece.i should had this one done yesterday but i got busy watchin dexter lol. so here it is today instead. enjy, *till the dragon flies again, hugs and regards*, lee
