| Challenge of the Drunken Ape's Round 3: The perfect end to a perfect day Winterhawk 2007/2/7 18:16 3676 7
The image: I did this in Poser & Photoshop. A mix of techniques, original render done in poser, lots of post production, some of the poser models had clothes some did not. I did a lot of painting in photoshop for the capes and costumes. Basically the same thing I did for rounds one and round two. I made massive art notes for both those rounds so you Judges should know what I did.
The story behind the image: As quite a few of you all know, I am a bit of a Batman fan. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that I decide to do a Batman image. Keeping with Dan's defining moment in the DC Universe I went with the above. It is an original composition based on the sub-story of Batman:The killing Joke. In the Sub-story that this picture is based on the fact that one Bad day can change a life. The Comedian was a failing stand-up comic, who couldn't find work, He made a deal with some Criminals to be an inside man on a robbery They had to go threw a chemical plant he used to work at to get to a building next door. The night the Job was going down, He was informed his pregnant wife got killed by an electrical shortage on a baby bottle warming device. The Mobsters would not let him back out of the caper. During the robbery they made The comedian was made to wear a Red Hood and cape and dress in a suit, as they had a series of robberies with the Same M.O. They would get a inside man to wear a red hood and they would follow him as the leader, Police and Batman thought the Red hood was the gangs ring leader rather then realizing that he was a different person in each robbery. During the robbery the chemical pant had changed security and hired armed guards. In a fury of bullets and mayhem the thieves and the Comedian ran through the plant, all of the mobsters had gotten shot and killed by the security guards and the Comedian was running scared out of his mind. Batman early in his career showed up and chased the Red Hood. Fearing for his life and soul and the horror of seeing the mobsters blow away in front of him, still in shock from the news of his dead wife and unborn child, The comedian reaches his breaking point and now also has a giant human bat chasing him. The only way to escape was to jump into a large chemical vat. Once in the chemical bath, The comedian almost drowned in the toxic mixture but he was flushed away into a nearby river, where he managed to swim to shore. Upon removing the Red Hood, The comedian noticed his reflection in a puddle. He was no longer just any Man, His skin was bleached white and his hair was green, after this the comedian snapped and became the Joker. Personally, I can't think of a single character that has effected the DC Universe more then the Joker, shooting Batgirl making her Oracle, Killing Robin, interacting with every single major hero and villain at one time or another, and making life generally very interesting for Batman himself, who is one of the three main DC characters. The moment above is particularly important because of a few things: One if Batman was faster and was able to catch the comedian before he jumped into the chemicals the Joker would never be, this early failure of the Dark Knight caused thousands of deaths in the DC universe as well as a great deal of pain and suffering for the Batman himself. Also if the Batman did not chase the comedian he would have most likely been shot and killed by the security guards. The early attempts of Batman to be a hero has caused the deaths and suffering of thousands of people in the DC Universe as well as creating his greatest adversary and he doesn't even know that he had a direct hand in the creation of the Joker. There would be no Joker without Batman. Indirectly Batman is the cause of all of Jokers victims including Jason Todd.
Enjoy! |

| DC's Girls of Summer: ICE blubeetle3 2007/6/10 6:52 3684 10
Ah, summer is just around the corner, and that can only mean one thing... GIRLS IN SWIMSUITS!
This is the first pic in a series I'm planning to do to celebrate summer. Later pics will see: Fire, Power Girl, Mary Marvel, Black Canary, Starfire, Donna Troy, Wonder Woman, and many, many more! (In other words, old favorites AND models I have, but, haven't really used.)
First up is Ice wearing an Adam Hughes inspired one-piece. She makes sure to wear sunblock and a nice straw hat to prevent burning her fair skin.
Updated to correct the hat. |

| Zatanna pin-up shoot Masterchief 2007/6/26 17:51 3697 9
Taking time out of her busy "Make the world disapear" world tour, Zatanna relaxes and blows Masterchief a kiss, as he takes her picture. The much more revealing photos will come later, along with the promised "rocking of his world" Sorry BB3 I had to do this pic, you got her on the beach, it's only fair I get her when she is looking her hottest And this is one gal who looks HOTTER the less she wears. |

| Someone to Watch over Gotham PoserHobbit 2009/2/6 20:04 3701 7
I'm not entirely happy with this, but then I'm not really willing to put in thousands if lights to make the city look really real. Yup, I'm lazy...which part of Hobbit didn't you get? (LOL!) On a solemn note I wish to state that's Hobbits are a industrious and hard working people! |

| JLIClassified: POWER GIRL blubeetle3 2006/6/19 15:21 3706 5
Sixth pic in the series.

| DC's Girls of Summer: MARY MARVEL blubeetle3 2007/6/11 19:39 3708 10
Mmmmm...mmmmm...Mary Mmmm...mmmmm...Marvel! She sure does look mature for her age. Billy Batson's baby sister sure has come a long way.
Third pic in the series and already I'm running into problems! Both Fire and Ice have distinctive hair color, and it makes them recognizable. Mary, however, has brown hair and, outta "uniform", isn't quite as distinctive. It's only gonna get worse when I get to the masked heroines. |

| Batgirl's Bad Day Erotijoy 2014/4/19 9:04 3714 9
This was my first Batman render and first publishing of my version of Batgirl. I have never gone back and reworked a render before as I prefer to use what little time I have for this hobby to work on new things. But I really liked this image and I think a simple cropping of the original image from its elongated landscape size improves it significantly; so I have, for the first time, replaced an image with a cropped version of that same image. I think only showing the side of the Batmobile helps address the juxtaposition of the "classic" car from the more modern Batman. The fact the "classic" Batgirl just got trashed, also helps I think bridge the gap. |

Booster Gold's a hound. There's no way around that. Booster can't help himself. He's gotto check out every woman that's around.
...Even if it's his newly "feminized" best bud!
EDIT: Added a title to this series to seperate them from my other seies. |

| Feline JunFan 2007/11/6 17:10 3722 10
I'm currently working on a project for a friend who has consented to model for me to turn her into Catwoman... It's fun to have a live model, but all sorts of other problems arise from it.
This is just a small character-development sketch for her. |

Comicdom's little sweetheart, with a mild sultry twist.
I started this way back in the 1st week of October, but needed to learn a couple techniques to make it pass. Thanks to the great people here at HM that answered my questions, and helped put the finishing touches on this one. |

Here's a recent attempt of mine to recreate that 70's look. ( If you like Supergirl, you might want to check out this website: http://kpu.the-imperium.com/ )
Heromorph looks like a fun place, I only discovered it right before it went down. Glad to see it back up, I hope it stays around for a long time. :) |

this is a very proto BC, as i'm still working on her design. a bit too close to Zatanna's for my liking, so i'm thinking of going for the modern costume when i try again.

| Power Girl Poster thestarkiller 2008/11/12 4:56 3732 4
Once again, Texture Converter contributes to an awesome texture. This time, the Power Girl texture from the peter cotton bundles converted to V4. I've been wanting to do a proper Power Girl image for quite sometime, but the versions I came up with using V3 just looked like crap. I'm never one to toot my own horn, but I think this turned out rather well. What do you guys think? |

Im expecting for Alf (his contribution is great) to finalize it and test it and its going to be a freeby at the end of the week maybe... |

| It's Good to be King drunkendragon 2009/11/15 4:34 3760 4
Ok, so I had a crazy idea to try to recreate a Comic/Fantasy image with a touch of Ye Ole Renaissance Era paintings style. (At least, this is as close as I come to fantasy art.) Also, this is my first real attempt to create unique lighting in Daz Studio, no presets used in this one. You can clearly see Inspiration drawn from such masterpieces as Botticelli's "The Birth of Venus" and da Vinci's "Mona Lisa"
I wanted to do a more time consuming piece before the Holidays, as family life and stuff will require me to take a brief 3-4 month sabbatical to assist with some familial difficulties. (Kinda sucks, since I was hoping to be available for the Secret Santa this year...but family comes first)
So if'n I don't get to post again before the new year, don't fret. All you fans of tremendous eye strain can look forward to more over-prosed posts in the coming year.
To all those Heromorphers who've kept me coming back again and again for a quick laugh, some great art, and the frequent JR jokes... Have a great holiday season (Turkey-Day, Hanukkah, X-Mas, New Years, Valentine's day, President's Day, etc.)
Credits-- Oh, my....lots of stuff here. All them Mermaidies are the same texture - Aurora the Ice princess from renderosity. And obviously all have the lost realms mer-ensembles from Daz.
But the Short Haired Fish lady is definitely the HOT Arina head and body Morph from HeroMorph Download Central!
Fish from Daz. (Including the new signature logo -Daz's "DragonFish"-and he's drinking...so he's a Drunken Dragon, who's a fish for the underwater scene. Get it? Gee Whiz. Am I the only one who thinks I'm funny?)
Plant life from Lisa's Botanicals. TrekkieGrrrl's Pirate props and Fyrene's coins from Renderosity. Aquaman's Belt from Muskateer Graphics.
Aquadude's outfit is my own texture and transparency fabrication for the M4 bodysuit top, and Legendary Heroes pants. Hair, beard, and suit painted over with Photoshop. Undersea Background done in photoshop.
(and yes, for the added classic movie reference flair, that's the Holy Handgrenade of Antioch by MirrorVisage from renderosity.)
--to Paraphrase MissVee-- no Fishies or Fishy people were harmed in the making of this piece. |

| Flashpoint WW DOAA 2011/6/16 17:01 3766 5
Are you ready for September 2011? Apparently this is the once again "NEW" look for DC's new timeline for Wonder Woman. (once again) Is this going to be yet another "alternate timeline?" or is this going to be the real deal? Probaly run for a bit, then go back to the old costume. (once again)
I used Daz's V4 with unified bodysuit, and my own texturing. Many thanks to Cosplay for your "WW" items!

I went more with a George Perez version of Starfire. Rounder face, rounded nose, big eyes. |
